Your body shop was excellent to deal with the people I dealt with Denny Rater and Mike Hedderick were very professional and kept me informed every step of the way . I don t know who the auto body people that fixed my vehicle were but the work they did was excellent . I am very satisfied with the service. Thanks .

I waited 3 hours for a new inspection sticker because my windshield had been replaced. I had an appointment at 10 am, and it took 3 dam hours! My wife had to do the same thing and State auto did it in 20 min., because they value her as a customer. Something you know nothing about! We had a horrible experience recently when we helped my mother buy a car. Terrible service! She was sent out of there with her newly purchased vehicle with the gas bell dinging on E! YOU SUCK FRANKLY

I came in with just my old Chevy and left with a brand new 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT. I found one on the dealership's website, gave the stock number to John, I said 'Let's make it happen'. The next day I came back, finalized the numbers and paperwork and left with a grin from ear to ear. I did not feel pressured to make any decisions, all of my questions were answered, and even had a couple good laughs. John also helped my fiance with her 2016 Chevy Equinox last year and after dealing with him the first time, I knew I didn't even want to talk to any other sales person but him. I LOVE MY CHEVY!!!

I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years with Hallman. I have purchased two cars from Hallman and my daughter has purchased three cars from the same dealership.

The very first time I stepped on that car lot years ago Mark Metzger had approached me to help. I haven't left since then! He absolutely hands down has made the experience of purchasing a car easy, fun and very worth the visit to Hallman.

They always say never trust a car salesman. That is not the case here. I have the up most absolute faith and trust in Mark Metzger. He always goes above and beyond to do what he can to help.

He is very personable, friendly and knows his work. He has a guaranteed customer in me! He is my dealer when it comes to a vehicle and I won't be going anywhere else.

Easy & fast appointment setup, quick check in, friendly staff, easy to understand when staff member was describing what will take place during the appointment. Reasonable wait time. Easy & excellent explanation when checking out. Finally, my car was brought to me like a valet attendant. I called and said that I needed an oil change and need an appointment. I was told to come in and they would take care of me. Now mind you that I called on a Saturday at about 1100 am. They got me in right away and even did my tire rotation!

I have been here several times, there is never a deal to be had, every vehicle here is "top dollar" and there's never any room to move, I've looked at vehicles that we're run out of gas, needed jumped, had rockers that we're rotted through, solid Bondo jobs, beds totally rotted out, ticking from the engine, I could go on and on. And these vehicles were 10,000 plus! Save your money and take a trip to Corry and see Crotty if you need a GM. There's really no good GM dealers in Erie.

The mechanics pointed out some work that needed done and Mark called me to inform me so I had them fix it since my car was already in the shop for a recall on oil consumption. Mark gave me a loaner vehicle at no cost and that was great seems how I have 3 children. Very professional and nice from start to finish

I like that they have a commercial truck service department. The folks working on Duramax's and heavier trucks know their stuff. My appointments have always been completed in a timely manner. One fault: They advertise that you can bring your truck in and they will give you a lift home. I live 20 miles away and they said they wouldn't do it for me so I had to sit in the waiting room for 2 hours.

The repairs that were done looks amateur. The vehicle was returned to me with more damage on than it went in with. When I questioned them about it they said that damage was on it when dropped off. I have pictures of vehicle on their lot when dropped off showing no damage. Would not recommend this shop to anyone. VERY DISSATISFIED

They take a long time to schedule you in, then a long time to complete the job, but they do a pretty good job. Things went really well the first time I was there. There was a slight problem the second time, but they made things right! I would recommend them, but make sure that you have good rental car coverage.

I've never had an issue with the sales department but the service department could use some help. Every time they told me my car doesn't pass inspection and I need $300 worth of work to pass it but there's really nothing wrong with my car done going here not worth the discount for buying 3 cars from them.

Highly recommend! Great place and great service. Bought my car from Justin and he went above and beyond for my boyfriend and I. He even helped my mom out when she drove an hour to come sign off on my old vehicle. Aired up her tires and washed her van for her. They have great customer service and always very helpful and full of knowledge. We will definitely be going back when we need another vehicle.

Pretty disappointed in their "auto butler". It was nothing more than a $90 car wash and armor all. The description said that it would be an interior and exterior detailing. Doesn't look like they even vacuumed so far from a detailing. After spending $900 on other repairs I expected more. I am really glad that I did not buy the auto butler package the finance guy pushed so hard.

Great work done in a timely manner.
Only complaint is I set up an appointment which let the person taking the order know that special parts were needed to be ordered, dropped off my car on the appointed day (a week later) only to be called saying that parts needed to be ordered for the repair and I would have to pick up my car and bring it back when parts arrived. Did so, and the work was done to my satisfaction. But the parts should have been ordered the first time.
No biggie, but...

The crew at Hellman SAVED OUR BACON today with their thoughtful service and willingness to help! While driving through Erie on our way from Indianapolis to the Finger Lakes our loaded-to-the-max Tahoe all of a sudden had a slipping transmission. Ugh.

Not only did Joel & the manager get us in right away, they even called a nearby car rental place to get us a vehicle that could handle all we had with us. They turned what could have been a disaster in to just a minor inconvenience.

If you have the opportunity to do business with Hellman, do it!

Service departments was excellent. Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant, kind and helpful. I do have one suggestion. When I called to make an appointment. I stated I was having issues with the automatic car starter. At that point Customer service should have told me to bring both Key fobs in for my service appointment. Maybe common knowledge, but it did not register with my brain.

Totally got screwed on a used car. Bought a 1991 Camaro from them. I was told the car is ultimately flawless in terms of functionality. They kept pushing they did all the service on it and everything looked fine. I took it for a test drive and it seemed fine. I drive it home and it ran out of gas while reading full. I try to get them to look at it and they refused. Keep pushing it's as is and it's an old car. Absolutely will not ever refer anyone to these people again.

Edit: 10/8/18. You can see that there was a response to my review asking me to call in to review the situation so a solution could be found. I emailed Ben and explained the entirety of the situation. He said he would get back to me in a couple days with more information. A couple days go by and sure enough i get a reply email to call him. I do and his response was, nothing will be done with the Camaro. Seriously? I've spoken to multiple people that say they want to help or to call in and every time they do, they just end up telling me tough, you bought a 27 year old car, sucks for you. Absolutely unbelievable. My friend bought an old Outback from Bianchi Honda recently, the radiator blew about a month after he bought it. They brought it in and repaired it no charge. They even gave him a rental to use while the car was being investigated and repaired. I'm shocked Dave Hallman's crew is refusing to even come close to that level of service.
