This place is horrible. I filled out their online finance application. Got a call from someone saying they found me a lender for a vehicle. Went up there today and I got the run around for 4 hours. They never found a lender. Then they wanted more down then what I originally told them. Then they said I needed a cosigner. Would not recommend them to anyone. Waste of a beautiful sunday

Took my 2006 Colorado in for a safety inspection and a water leak of unknown origin L. Hall service personnel were excellent and the technicians quickly diagnosed the water leak problem and had my truck back to me within 24 hours. Great service in a timely manner.

Mr. George Gunter helped me with a purchase that was about a week in the making. During that time he allowed me two cars over the course of three days. He even had them delivered to me since my car had been totaled in an accident. Great customer service from Mr. George and the team at Hall Auto Chesapeake. He even bought lunch for my mom and I while we waited. I would definitely buy from them in the future and would recommend them to others!

We had such an great experience buying our first brand new vehicle. We went to Hall to look with a preapproval from our bank, but Hall was able to get us better financing and the sales associate Luke Sewell was amazing and was able to answer all our questions and knew exactly what he was talking about..

To say the least, I am FURIOUS! Just went to your location to make a service appointment. Four service reps are there and all four are on the phone. I waited exactly 5 minutes and nobody even acknowledged that I was standing there waiting. You sell me the "Car Care" plan but do not have the time to honor it.
I will NEVER purchase another car from your company and shame on Chevrolet for allowing you to have one of their dealerships. Rest assured my 3500+ "Friends" on Facebook will hear about this.

I received a call from the service manager at Hall Chevrolet with an apology and we both agreed this incident never should have happened. Case closed.

I bought my Sonic for a water pump issue. I picked it up (Thursday) and had to bring it right back (Saturday morning) because the problem wasn't fixed and it was still leaking fluid. Then they had to keep my car for another few days to get the part to fix it. The services person Matt was excellent and had the best customer service. But the inconvenience was a problem.

Great service! Vishan Ramnauth and Doug Dorvial sat down with me and were able to work a price I was happy with. The negotiation was nice and smooth. I was referred by my neighbor Nate, who had served in the Navy with Vishan. I'm glad I took my neighbor's advice because Vishan took great care of me! I was originally in the market for a base model Silverado, and left with a Z71 for not much more!

I explained what I wanted and what price range I was willing to accept and they were willing to negotiate with me until we reached a deal I liked. I HAD AN INFORMATION DISPLAY : INTERNAL MALFUNCTION OF THE RADIO DISPLAY ASSEMBLY. MR. RAY STATED THAT 2 SOFEWARE UPDATES WERE PASS DUE AND HE HAD THEM INSTALLED. PLEASE NOTE THE MILEAGE WAS LESS THEN 80,000 ON DATE OF SERVICE 19 SEP 2020. PROBLEM WAS NOT RESOLVED. I WENT TO NORTH CAROLINA THAT DAY AND IT BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION AGAIN.
ON MY PAPERWORK IT RECOMMEND REPLACING RADIO DISPLAY/TOUCH SCREEN, PROGRAMMING AND RETESTING SYSTEM. SHOULDN'T THIS BE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY? SINCE IT WAS UNDER 80,000 MILES THE DATE OF SERVICE LESS THAN 5 DAYS AGO?

Had a great experience. Went shopping for a used Tahoe and left with a brand new 2019 Traverse. Love my new Traverse. Antorio was my salesperson and Steve was the manager. Did not feel pressured. Antorio was knowledgeable about my new vehicle and shared what I needed to know. This is my third Traverse purchased from Hall Chevy. Have had all my service needs handled through their service department.

I initially came to dealership to look at a used p/u truck...Spent three hours there had me look at stuff above my price range...Then ran my credit and showed me a much older gas guzzling high mileage truck...Two weeks later I went to another dealership got a 2012 truck with 3000 miles and full 100,000 mile warranty and saved $4000.Also after visit someone called me twice a day for five weeks straight leaving VM asking me to come back...For What????

I came in because engine light was on. Also part of the trim was sticking up...The part I needed came in one day(cosmetic)...I sat there for a few hours before they rented a car for me...Three days later get my truck to find out it shot a code that was not related to my truck and all they had to do was to remove code...I took off that Monday to make sure I get my truck back...UUUGGGHH

Bought the car at the beginning of December 2018. ...

Bought the car at the beginning of December 2018. As soon as i left the dealership there was a problem with the key switch. As i drove the car back to SC the switch kept acting up. Immediatley called the dealership and i was told sorry, should have bought the extended warranty. I brought to local Chevy dealership in SC and cost me $700 to replace safety switch for shifter. I also have been waiting for title since Dec and still have not gotten it. I called and called with no return calls. Finally got ahold of someone and they told me i had to call my bank and get the title to register the vehicle. I would NEVER buy another vehicle from this dealership.
Ok now lets fast forward to today Feb 1st 2019.
I still do not have a title to register the vehicle.
The sales manager reached out to me about this review and what could he do to help. He asked that i send him a copy of invoice that i paid chevy dealer in SC to fix the car, in which i did 2 weeks ago. Still no response to any of that. I have emailed them a couple times, again no response. WORST EVER!!!

The service was fantastic and I will return for any future servicing. I would specifically like to reflect on the personalized professionalism from the service writer Tracy Vestpoli. I live in Suffolk, almost 30 minutes from your location. The reason I went to the Western Branch Hall location was because I was turned away by Duke Chevrolet , which is 10 minutes from my house, and told they didn't have any openings for 2 weeks. My truck had gone into limp mode and I had no reverse gear. this presented a huge problem, as you can imagine. So I called the next closest Chevy dealership and I was fortunate enough to be connected to Tracy Vestpoli. From the minute I spoke to him on the phone, I was utterly impressed with his concern and willingness to get my truck into your facility as quickly as I could get it there. My opinion and first experience with your facility doubled when I got on location and discovered that everyone from the lady answering the phone to the young man that prepped my truck were all just as nice and helpful as Tracy. It was obvious to me that it was genuine. My experience kept getting better as Tracy and I went through the repair process with my truck, to include a loaner vehicle and assistance with some very difficult people regarding my extended warranty service so that I could get the $1200 repair covered. All I can say is "WOW"... What a difference from being turned away by my local dealership.

I would like to extend a personal thanks along with kudos and salutations to Tracy Vestpoli for his dedication to a seemingly unforgiving customer service position. He obviously deals with a lot of frustrated folks, but his ability to maintain a professional and caring attitude really helps ease the pain of the expensive repair process typical of GM.

I had a really good experience at Hall Chevrolet Western Branch. Paul Abernathy was very knowledgeable about the 2013 Chevy Equinox that I purchased and talked to me through the entire process as if he had known me forever. A very personable and friendly guy. The test drive went great, the paperwork went as expected and I feel that I got a really good deal with my trade in and the price of the vehicle. Matthew the finance guy was very friendly and was a great salesman of extended warranties and extra protection items for the vehicle. He did a great job and we spoke about all the options that were available and I never felt pressured or obligated to buy any of the products and when I told him I was not interested, we moved on with the finalizing of the paperwork. They both treated me very well and I will buy my next vehicle at Hall Chevrolet!

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST TRUCK PURCHASING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I knew what I wanted and called all of the local dealerships and pretty much told them do not call me unless you are able to find exactly what I wanted. Hall in Chesapeake was the only dealership that listened. I received pre-recorded messages from all but KRISTOFFER PLATON. He found my truck the price was lower than what I could of ordered it for. It was 200 miles away and he made it happen. I purchased the truck without physically seeing it. When it arrived at the dealership KRISTOFFER called and sent pictures from his cell and told me that it was beautiful and he was jealous. When I arrived to pick up my truck it was beautiful and displayed on a ramp at the front of the dealership. I had never meet KRISTOFFER at that point and found him he was exactly what I thought he would be which was genuine and very excited to show me the truck. Then I meet DANIEL PATTERSON, I think he spent the whole day in my truck learning all of the features and was more excited than to experience them. DANIE:L went over every button, feature, there was nothing I did not know when I left the dealership. He hooked up my bluetooth, I phone and sat up on star. The manager NICK came over and was extremely pleasant and actually sat down and talked with us. He gave us some great advice as we were paying half in cash. He made us feel that he was there for us not the other way around. Then we meet DOUG DORIVAL, he was the one with the paperwork. Which I must say lasted 5 minutes max, as he had already asked for insurance, ids etc. so that he would have everything set for us just to sign. He went over different programs with us and was not pushy in anyway. I will always buy my cars from these guys and refer anyone that is in the market to them. They really are a great team, and have contacted us since to make sure we were having fun showing off the truck and happy.
I could go on and on about this experience, it was the easiest happiest, pleasant stress free car purchase that anyone could of hoped for.

He is extremely friendly, and doesn't act pushy on anything. This is my first vehicle from a car dealership, Hall made it easy.

I bought a Honda CRV from them March 2018. I am pleased that they were able to assist me with purchasing the car and even the customer service I received from Christian that assisted me from Hyundai when they were to busy too. The reason I am providing them with 2 stars because there was a knocking noise that was coming from the bottom of the car. I reported this noise on the second day I received the car, I took the car to the sales manager and he rode in the car with me advising me that it was the heat guard that was making the knocking nose and if they take a look at it, then they would charge me $100.00. I took the car to my mechanic and he advised me that the noise was from the ball and socket joint in the front of the car. I was unable to take the car back after the 7 day trial because it was to late at this point but I want to share this experience with everyone because ANYTHING could have happened to me in that car after TRUSTING the car was fine. Just from that sales manager lying to me and too worried about sales and commission but not the safety and service of the customer, I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!

We initially started at Hall Hyundai and our dealer there actually helped us transition to Chevy. Stayed and helped the whole time. Danny Peterson at Chevy had some of the best customer service skills we have seen buying a car.

Here's the story of my experience. I've been driving a Mazda3 for five years that was starting to show signs of age and no longer fit in with my family's needs. As a USAA member, I took advantage of the Car Buying Service in addition to a lot of independent research to decide on what I wanted. No later than 30 minutes after I submitted my information on USAA's mobile site, I was emailed and called by Hall's internet service team members Tiffanie Doe and Holly Lewis, both of whom gave me a solid first impression both on the phone and online. I truly did not expect a response that afternoon, much less during my lunch break. Soon after I was contacted by manager Mac Caldwell, who found a vehicle close to what I had described.
I walked into the dealership at 5:30pm, and drove off in a brand-new hot rod at 9:15pm without anything done prior to that other than setting up a test drive - UNHEARD OF IN THIS BUSINESS!! I walked in the door and was greeted by no less than four people in under one minute. You don't get that kind of welcome in CHURCH, friends. Mac was quick to come out and introduce himself and Anthony McRae, my salesperson. A few minutes to get information and we went out to see the vehicle. I say vehicle because they had only one that met my personal wish-list. It was all that I wanted with a little extra, and with the target pricing from USAA, I knew I was getting a solid deal. Anthony made certain that I was under no pressure to buy a vehicle at that moment if everything wasn't perfect, and never did I feel hassled. Once I gave the okay the wheels started turning. Quickly. Amid a few handshakes and high-fives from the sales staff I had just enough time to converse with another of the salesmen for a few minutes before I met Jerome Daniels, the Finance Director. Less than half an hour to finalize a short stack of paperwork and I was good to go. All the while, the crew had my new car prepped and ready to go. Anthony gave me a quick tutorial on a couple of the systems and I was on the road.

Bottom Line:
This deal was made because of the people, particularly Mac, Anthony, and Jerome. I can buy a car anywhere, but these three made the concept of "earning your business" evident in each step of the process. If you want to buy a car the right way, I challenge you to find better folks than these at what they do. The Hall team really impressed me, I'll safely say that we'll be doing business again in the future!
