Nice cosy theatre with great staff and good views from any of the seats. Seats are pretty hard so you can get uncomfortable after a while. Went to watch Tom Gates on a Saturday night, shame the theatre was half empty as it was a great show.

I haven't been here for a while, so was pleasantly surprised to find the main entrance completely refurbished. It looks really nice, spacious and modern. Downside was the 30min queue to get to the bar while others were skipping it, and the limited knowledge of certain bar staff for simple cocktails, like a white Russian!

Saw a gig here and the sound was very very good. Acoustics worked well.

Part of the local college, The Hafren Theatre has the feel of a lecture theatre and the local amateur dramatic society combined. Avoid front rows, too low for the stage. Seating is poor quality and uncomfortable for longer than an hour. Bar is always heaving and understaffed. Having said all that, it is our only local venue and occasionally attracts a good comedian or other act, for which wr should be grateful. Pity the tickets are mostly sold before they promote the shows...

Great!

Lovely theatre, great atmosphere and nice staff.

Lovely theatre, great atmosphere and nice staff.
Good views of stage.
Bar staff are excellent and clear queues quickly in interval.
Only negative is that it gets really hot in the summer!

Visited the Hafren to attend a sports award evening. There is plenty of parking including plenty of disabled parking. The staff were lovely and welcoming and very helpful. The theatre is a lovely size which helps to give an intimate feel ideal for these types of events. The seats were comfortable and there was plenty of space you didn't feel cramped at all. Toilets we're clean and tidy and plenty of them. All in all a lovely little theatre.

While the performances and events calendar and experiences are brilliant at this venue, I'm saddened to say that the customer service is quite shocking to be honest.
Due to unforseen circumstances I recently had to miss a show, so I emailed The Hafren and asked if I could either transfer my ticket or have a voucher for the value, so not even asking for a refund. I wouldn't have even minded if I'd have had a "no" and a policy explanation, however, I didn't even get a reply!!
If the customer services were up to the standard of the ushering staff/volunteers and the quality of entertainment then I would be scoring this a 5 star.
I highly reccomend that you go and see a show there, but if ever you have a problem with anything, don't bother trying to sort it out, because you'll get nowhere!

I've been here on quite a few occasions now. Me and the wife love it. They have some of the biggest names here. Lee Evans performed here was the funniest show I have ever seen. It has great parking. And the staff are very friendly and professional. The prices are really great too. Overall this place is a definite winner.
