This bar in the Negresco hotel in Nice is a beautiful tranquil place for a cocktail or snack. Superb service and varied live music in an evening. Expert cocktail makers will produce a signature drink for you, or a standard cocktail. Love the food, atmosphere, decor, everything. I d be delighted to come here again. The food is so pretty and delicious. Enjoy!
Extremely good experience. Very nice hotel, superbe room (thank you for the upgrade to a suite!) , perfect service at reception, bar and room cleaning, very good staff. Very interesting art collection. Cocktails at the bar are a must. Only negative feeling, breathing a bit messy and frankly speaking a bit poor compared to the price and hotel 5star hotels. But I ll definitely go back!
Excellent attention is a very nice and cozy place A1buenazo
The hotel should be a 2 or 3 star at the most. The location is superb but the service was slow and poor, lifts creaked and sometimes didnt work, my suite was always very hot in August and when i requested for them to have someone fix the airconditioning, they sent a fan to my room and told me all guests feel okay with the fan. Shower water pressure is low and real old school. If you are looking for a real 5 star experience , avoid this hotel like a plague.
Perfect in all nothing to say a good dinner a good time and at the height of this palace
We loved staying at this hotel. Each room is different with its own decoration. The staff are always very attentive. Breakfast is served in the riding arena. It is very qualitative. The bar is wonderful. Possibility of having brunch on New Year's Day but you have to think about the reserve!
Simply super. No need for more words. You should definitely see the toilets in the lobby.
Great location, but slightly overated. At breakfast time, there were wheel chair excersise sessions in the main atrium. The food and drinks were priced well, surprisingly. The Blue Mountain coffee at 9.00 was well below what you would pay in similar London establisment.
The Negresco is always very good in terms of service because the savoir-vivre is always there but on the other hand concerning the bathroom, it is seen in the economy concerning the products like the Shampoo or the shower gel which are now available in collective dispensers so that customers do not take individual vials with them. The breakfast is fine. Other neighboring hotels offer a breakfast on the terrace with sea view at a much lower rate. The plus would be the nearby private parking reserved in a public parking lot
very good, nice service. Antique room with a bit of patina ... partly in need of renovation. Breakfast nice
Hotel palace with 4000 works of art exhibited throughout the hotel collection of the owner Madame AUGIER, very large bedroom, with king-size bed, small balcony with small table and two chairs, large wardrobe with your negresco slippers, small bar, stove with tea, small arrival gift, large bathroom with double sink bathtub, then apart in the bathroom closed by a door the toilet and the bidet. The maid comes in the morning and evening to change the bathrobe or the towels or the sheets as you wish. In the evening a few things carried you. (Macaroons, evening cream) breakfast is continental with fruits from all over the world, specialties from pancakes to eggs, cheeses, cold cuts.
Finally having had a gift on the price I took advantage and I do not regret this stay in this palace over 100 years old. An extraordinary welcome, tailor-made services. top
Amazing dinner at the rotonde, quality and quantity-wise!
The Queen's bedroom is really comfortable. A view of the garden and the sea. Pleasant memory.
We enjoyed our visit to Le Negresco Hotel. When in Nice, you should put this on your list and enjoy a drink, coffee or a meal on the terrace or inside the iconic hotel. It's an experience!
Romantic weekend in this magical place. Try to meet the communications director for a tour of this "museum". The owner of the place wanted to make this palace a place where you feel at home and it is successful. Works of art, several restaurants including a starred one, an extraordinary breakfast buffet. A reduced rate deckchair access to the beach. The rooms are beautiful.
Nice bar, house cocktails that are out of the ordinary, surprising and very good! But service below what you would expect from a hotel of this standard.
Great view. Good staff. Food was just ok. Nothing special really. You would stay here only because of the proximity to the beach and the view.
We stayed in this famous hotel in Nice for one night as part of a holiday in the South of France last year.
It was great to wander along the corridors on each floor and take in the eclectic decor and unique and impressive art collection, but, for me at least, having done that once I didn't feel like I really needed to stay a second night, given the price. Our room itself seemed a little basic by comparison with the decor in the corridors etc - albeit that we had gone for one of the cheapest available. Also compared to other high end hotels I'd stayed at in France, it seemed to be lacking a bit in terms of all the little extra touches. For example, there weren't any complimentary drinks or nibbles laid on in the room (aside from a single chocolate on each pillow).
Was also a little taken aback when I phoned to the restaurant to ask if they had anything vegetarian on the menu, to receive a rather abrupt "No.". I know France in general has a pretty poor reputation for catering for vegetarians, but you'd think in a famous hotel like this in a very popular tourist resort, with lots of international guests that they might make a bit of an effort.
Still, probably worth it for one night, for the experience.
Home cold and contemptuous by a person barely speaking French. Access to the rotunda for coffee and pastry was denied before 6 pm while people were there for coffee. Damage and big disappointment.
Beautiful historic place has disapointed us with cheep skating a big group of guests with adding a half glass when serving Champagne and offering bad tapas with out any napkins
The setting is essential and the staff very professional. But the menu is quite limited for this kind of establishment.
Aging hotel, a mausoleum of the seventies under administration due to the great age of the owner, Madame Jeanne Augier.
To return. I was there once with a mega offer and in addition, given the period of low tourist turnout, they offered us a mini suite. Breakfast in the adjoining room (for a fee) is a gem. 6 stars for her !!!
It is a jewel, the jewels are nice. A nice welcome or the interior respect the customer, The bah, the Chantecler, the rotunda are simply fantastic places.
Not within my means, but a magnificent facade, and a super luxury hotel restaurant
Unmissable. The sculptures of Nikki de Saint Phalle alone are worth the detour. The Louis XVI salon is magnificent.
Well what can I say. One word "Flabbergasted". Real old school service. Everyone extremely polite and helpful. Exquisitely prepared room. I will always stay at this hotel when visiting Nice :-)
Splendid hotel, solid 5 star with enough treasures to fill an art gallery. Centrally located on the promenade and close to all the major attractions. Service is impeccable, got a free upgrade to a junior suite, thanks to the great hospitality!
Most admired hotel in Nice, restaurant at the top. Regarding the decoration in my opinion to renovated compared to the new hotel on the Riviera. Restaurant with chef star, it's worth it to move. Personal hotel and restaurant very friendly and kind. The prices are correct considering the standings of the hotel and the restaurant.
Very good dishes served in a nice decor. However, the servers are not all very pleasant. The composition of the dishes is not always very clear either, you have to make do with the title in Italian and the sometimes brief description. Vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are marked with a logo, a very good thing that makes the task easier, on the other hand one of the so-called vegetarian dishes was actually based on sardines! And the waiter taught us the lesson that vegetarians eat fish well. Bad luck, there was a vegetarian at the table! Everyone may have a different diet, but a dish made with sardines is definitely not vegetarian! What doubts their adaptability to vegetarians and people with allergies ...
Do not hesitate to go for a drink at the hotel bar and take the opportunity to visit
One of the most beautiful hotels we stayed at. Nothing to complain of. Nice place, amazing interiors, great staff. Will recommend everywhere.
Simply legendary - Service Palace. Class in all simplicity.
I do not recommend this hotel. The hotel is not friendly and breakfast is not good too.
World famous luxury hotel in Nice France Point worth seeing not only during the awarding of the Golden Palm during the film festival.
Visit for a scientific congress. Very unpleasant reception, treating me with bad manners. They have made me feel like a criminal. If this is how the Negresco hotel treats the guests of the events organized in its facilities, I do not even want to imagine how they receive their private clients.
In conclusion: to avoid for its disastrous service
A drink is enough
Mythical place .. But that's all
This is the 3rd time I'm staying at Negresco. Its a living art museum who has seen many famous people and actor. Design is nice and brings you back to 17-18 centuries. Rooms and coridors are nice and beatiful. I had nice vow of garden and the seaside. The staff are polite and helping. The only thing which is missing is that it doesn't have a swimming pool.
Beautiful place. Expensive coffee and breakfast in a tired room that once must have been great. Many other rooms in the hotel that are 10x nicer!
When you really need to judge a book by its cover as the cover is all what this hotel has and inside is nothing comparing to that. Unprofessionalism and mockery!
Several times visited that place and every time was a huge delay with the service even when it wasnt that busy, but it wasnt much for a feedback here, but last point was when I visited this place recently again and asked at the bar for a coffee and if they have cafe gourmand where this young waited just pointed at the menu - just this , so basically pointing his finger for me to read.....5 star hotel....really? usually waiters announcing that themselves for the guest! I pointed it out to him, but I doubt that he understood or got the point....I asked if there are any other places where they serve a coffee here, he replied with nearly his eyes rolling - JUST THIS - I asked again and he finally got what I meant....REALLY?! what sort of attitude is that?! I then went through the desert menu and there was a chocolate cake and I asked what sort of chocolate cake is that and she ONCE again with his eyes rolling replied to me as if I am retarded "CHOCOLATE CAKE" !.....as if it is THAT obvious that I must have been so dumb not to understand that chocolate cake is A CHOCOLATE CAKE! ...I replied to him asking if he knows how many types of CHOCOLATE cake is there (around 14 FOR SURE!) and he replied that he is to go and check with the kitchen that should HAVE BEEN done right away without eyes rolllings and such attitude! He then checked, came back and explained it all IN FRECH! where all this time we were speaking in english.....I This is just a mockery!
Hope they can look into this issue and train or hire their staff that has right and professional attitude and knowledge.
The bar is comfortable and relaxing. The pastries are excellent as well as the service.
Had lunch at La Rotonde. Great food and awesome staff. Can recommend this place.
We booked a double room with sea view and couldn't be more pleased. Felt like kings after the smaller rooms in other cities. The turndown service was excellent (little bottles of Evian on our nightstand) and the view was that of a postcard. The staff of the entire hotel were impeccably dressed and extremely friendly. 0 complaints and will return on anniversaries in the future. Room 417, highly recommend!!
One of the oldest hotel in the region and right across the beach. Vintage hotel carefully refurbished from time to time. The owner has a taste for collectors items and paintings. The hotel is like museum, well taken care ..lots of vintage items and paintings on display. She is fond of animal paintings and these paintings can be found on every floor. Rooms luxurious , spacious. Restaurant and food - good.
A mythical place in Nice a very nice bar a welcoming and very professional staff a big thank you to the "great Lady who for decades has kept the cachet of this architectural treasure
