Memorable dinner, little to add.
Boskinac is a luxury hotel, reachable by a narrow road in the hinterland of pag, restaurant and grill with a splendid outdoor space in the garden, wine bar, and producer of excellent wines.
The young chef Matija Brege deserves the star. Unfortunately my experience leads me to say that the service still needs to improve.
You can choose between various menus or number of courses from the card, as well as wines. Estimate about 1300 kn for a dinner.
We chose the chef's 5-course menu with 3 paired wines, preceded by a series of captivating entrees and excellent bread.
The series of dishes will allow you to fully enjoy the flavors of Pag and Croatia, the pairing with their wines is up to par.
Two mentions: cuttlefish tagliatelle alla "carbonara" with egg, pag cheese, minced lamb. And the grilled lamb medallion seasoned with different types of salt that change the taste in a surprising way.
The flaws in the service, I said.
Upon our arrival - with reservation, necessary - we asked for a table in the shade because the evening was still quite warm. Although at 7 pm we were among the first and there were many free tables, we were not allowed and we had to wait for the sunset to be able to sit at the table without dripping sweat with the rays straight in our faces.
Another flaw, when choosing wines. We ask for a combination with the (Czech) menu we have chosen. We are told that it is we who have to choose which wines we want. But on what basis can I choose, if I don't know what the dishes will be?
Last mistake: the third wine, to accompany the second, was forgotten and served only when we had almost finished the dish.
Definitely unforgivable for a place of this depth and with these ambitions.

Thanks for a wonderful dinner ... a modern interpretation of Grandma's kitchen recipes. Flavors of the sea, olive flavors stretch from appetizers to desserts. A lot of work can be seen behind a presentation like this !!! Thank you

we tried the restaurant, of the highest quality and much cheaper than restaurants even remotely so refined in Italy.

This review is regarding Konoba Boskinac. Food is great! Very good quality of cheese, ham and all the ingredients used for the dishes. Great fish too. And wine. Awsome. But...the service is not so great and the prices are high. We asked for a bottle S. Pellegrino from the menu. The waiter brought us some other water. I was talking to my son and the waiter took my unfinished dish in front of me. We could not order some dishes from the menu. And the most weird thing: they did not have lemonade for my son. Lemonade in Croatia is made of pure lemon juice, water and sugar. Everybody can make it in a second. So 4 stars for the food and maybe not even 2 for the service.

A place to relax body and soul, top quality food and professional staff, thank you for everything.

Although we are off-season guests (February) our hosts were top notch!
Warm, businesslike and very kind from the first contact.

Breakfast rich with a handful of homemade dairy and cured meat products from small producers of top quality.
A five-course dinner accompanied by Bo kinac wines deserves at least one Michelin star.

The event my wife and I experienced yesterday almost permanently declined us from visiting Boskinac. Namely, for eight years we were regular guests of the restaurant, so yesterday we wanted to maintain such a tradition. Although we did not intend to dine but the ambiance, peace, few guests and cozy atmosphere were the reason to visit the restaurant and have a drink. When we arrived, we passed two waiters talking to each other. Like in previous years, we sat down at a table on the upper part of the terrace, which, apart from one table, was empty and on the lower part of the terrace, on which there is a summer bar (which was said to be closed), there were about seven people. When we sat down at the table, after more than two minutes, a waiter with a tablecloth in his extending hand approached us, and before ordering tells us that it was a place to eat only and that we could not sit there and drink only a drink, although they were at another table. sat three men and just drank a drink ?? I didn't even get to ask a question and the waiter shows us a particularly humiliating gesture with his head over his shoulder and says "you can order and have a drink down there at the bar" ???? Of course, "down there" was no place. Because of that, we lost all desire to stay in Boskinac in an instant. That this was not enough additional humiliation we also experience when leaving, and from the manager of the restaurant, who is watching all this and pointing us with her finger and saying "well down there behind the bar" ???? Down the bar ??????? There were no seats down there, no tables! You were just two deck chairs. Of course we left the restaurant with a sense of humiliation ..... So much for a superb restaurant that would welcome guests with a smile and kindly bring them to tables that are free to consume drinks if they have a separate dining area ... not to mention communocation (non) culture. Unfortunately, this is the reality of our tourism, so whoever likes it here. Personally, never again. And you ... self-evaluate and select ...

Delicious hotel in the middle of the campaign with a soothing view and a relaxing environment.

The food very good and its wine very well achieved highly recommended to enjoy nature.

Remember some places in Catalonia and Tuscany.

Best food on the island so far. Stuff is very friendly. Fine dining in shorts and t-shirt was allowed.

Every year I'm spending vacation with my wife on this quite special island. And there isn't a year where we don't come to Bo kinac more then several times.
And it's improving every year.
Scenery is simply breathtaking. View is a suitable copy-paste of Toscana, Italy.
Cousine is a story for itself.
Amazing feeling to come, enter and stay at this place.
By far, the most luxurious part of this island.

Konoba Boskinac offers great local food and the staff is very nice. It is situated just outside Novalja on the small hill surrounded by vineyards. Have to make a reservation.
