The staff was great! I want sure where to go twice and both times I easily found a staff member that helped. They were very friendly! I had a conversation with two of them. Both said they looked forward to seeing us again. My son was the only one that skied. It was his first time and he loved it! He had beginner lessons and off he went. We will be going back!

If was my first time skiing and I had a blast! My instructor was very patient and helpful. By the end I felt comfortable and confident going down the penny slopes I can't wait to go again next winter!

If you like standing in lines half of the block time you paid for for tubing, go ahead. 2 hour block got 4 runs on tubes and 3 on mountain coaster. Sent them an email about my disappointment and never heard back from them, so may not ever do it again and save my money for something better.

Zip lining at gunstock mountain was fun. They have a lot of other activities such as off road Segway tours, Aerial Treetop Course, Mountain Coaster, Climbing Walls, Slackline, and Summer Tubing. Best to come early in the day and buy their summer adventure package.

Did some ziplining here with my boyfriend on a mini get away. It was a ton of fun! The guides were awesome. Such a fun time. There is a ton of activities to do as well. The mountain coaster was really fun as well!

Nice mountain to ski; good location when you live on the seacoast and want decent terrain, without trying to get to the White Mts. However, the website is a disaster. Hard to find details about what you are getting with each type of pass and at what cost. And the ticket on-line system malfunctions constantly. Gave up ordering a Flex Pass.

Campgrounds are spacious, clean, quiet, and plentiful. In ground pool for the kids, again very clean. Spectacular views, hiking trails, and a pond for fishing. Covid put a damper on my visit, Mountain Coaster nor lifhts were in operation, but still had a great time.

Some good things and some challenges. Ticket prices seem a little high but a full day ticket did get us evening skiing under the lights. The ticket line was miserable with 4 windows but no crowd control lanes. The conditions were great, fantastic terrain parks with lots of options and very clear signage about the size of the features. Some of the best assortment of features I've seen locally. Crowd control lanes were sub-par at the lifts too. There were not enough workers to help regulate the alternating lines. Gunstock has an RFID ticket system that is a little cumbersome at first but we got used to it by the end of the day.
Long and the short, we'll likely go back but will cringe if there are any crowds.

Great time camping over the weekend, great sites and clean bathrooms. Could not give it a five star only because the shower area was cramped and no shelf to put your bag and clothes on while you showered so it had to sit on the floor which was wet and dirty from people feet other than that highly recommend this place for camping, and skiing we frequent Saturday nights here in the winter.

No more 2 for Tuesday deals. $44 for a weeknight pass and last year was able to get the flex pass discount card with just a license and work badge. This year I needed to have the voucher from work but I didn't because I did not know that.

Great place to snowboard. However, if you are looking to learn or teach someone to snowboard, their beginners hill is not adequate for snowboarders. The beginner lift is run by friendly staff who understand people use that lift to learn to ride a lift. The rest of the mountain is enjoyable. Every mountain you go to is going to have patches of ice, so I can't fault them on that. Recently, my husband and I were there and road down the lower section of Derringer. I was disappointed to find that the beginning of the trail was all mogules with no warning. We both took a few nasty spills. Overall, a great place to ride.

The trails were plentiful and decently groomed for the shear number of people. I was lucky enough to get free tickets. We spent enough on lessons for my spouse amd daughter so I think it made up for it. Thankfully they have buses when you end up in lot C. It was super busy but I enjoyed the day. The lessons were great and teachers respectful and fun.

Absolutely amazing time! Highly recommend the zip line! Mountain coaster was fun. And the tree top obstacle course is a blast!
But what made the day even better was the staff; Polite, laid back, and extremely helpful.

Gunstock is a great mountain that has made so many changes to stay current with the times and offer so much more than other mountains. You can have fun here anytime of the year. Notice that any of the poor reviews on here are many years old. Gunstock listened and made the changes necessary to succeed. Great job Gunstock! I have been to other mountains, but I prefer Gunstock.

I am not reviewing this as a ski resort. I am reviewing it for its hiking trails. Once the ski slopes were closed for the season but still covered with snow, I did hike up to the summit of Gunstock Mountain via the Hot Shot ski slope. I did it in microspikes and pulling myself up with my poles the whole way up. That's not the first time I've hiked gunstock Mountain, but it was the first time I hiked up a ski slope to get to the summit. As a regular hiker in the Belknap range, I do hike on gunstock Mountain, but usually when it's not the busy season. I do know from hiking around there that they have a section for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. I'm not sure how much it costs to use those trails in the winter, if anything. There are a number of trails that you can hike to the top of Gunstock Mountain and from there you can access the rest of the Belknap mountain range. During tourist season I stick to the middle of the range, but once tourist season is over, I do quite a bit of hiking on trails around gunstock Mountain, Mount Rowe, Belknap Mountain, and Piper Mountain. If you park by the gate on Belknap Mountain Road in Gilford, you can access Gunstock Mountain Trail, an orange blazed trail, that will take you up the back slope of Gunstock Mountain, and from there you can go to Piper Mountain and back down via the Red Trail to where you parked and it makes a nice loop for hiking. Another nice hiking Loop is going up the yellow trail from Gunstock Mountain parking lot and taking that across to another section of orange-blazed trail, Overlook Trail, that comes back down to the Gunstock Mountain Parking area. I know people who ski there and really like it. I have not talked to anyone who has snowshoed there, but if we get enough snow I may check out the snowshoeing trails this winter. They also have camping and zip-lining in the summertime. And throughout the warmer weather there are different festivals that are there four different occasions.

Absolutely over selling of tickets for time slots.
You have to give up your tube and get in line and wait for a tube ,then get in line all over again .
This is our fourth mountain trying tubing and although longer it is poorly run. The kid that was supposed to direct people was very kind ,but not assertive enough so it was unorganized . We were not the only one s shocked to have to give up your tube . I have never been asked at other mountains to do this.

We camp here at least twice/summer. Kids love the fun passes - bracelet gets you use of canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, mini golf, rock wall, skate board park for the duration of the trip. Security attentive to issues (ie occasional loud neighbors). Clean, close to home, close to many lakes region activities, tons to do!

The "other" stuff (ie zip line, ropes course, segway) have become too pricey for our family of 5, unfortunately.

Some sites are primitive, some with partial/full hookups. Check in staff/bookiing staff very knowledgeable about sites and able to help you find what you want. Great rebooking policy - you get first dibs on your site for the same dates next year.

We will keep coming back; just wish they would create a more budget friendly pass for the extra attractions - when I pay $70 for a ski ticket, I get all mountain access all day...pay $70 for a zip line and it's one and done. Not worth the $$.

It's a horrible mountain what with it's 7 lifts, small lines and wide variety of trails for beginners to seasoned pros, who would want to waste there time on well groomed and marked terrain. Not to mention the staff, helpful and polite why bother coming to a place like this.

Went tubbing and everyone was very nice and helpful. They new we were tourists and new to snow adventures and they made us feel comfortable and welcome. I recommend the tubbing experience. I thought 2 hours of tubbing was way too much, but I kept going up the hill for more. You will have a blast. Wanted to do other activities but the weather didn t permit it. I am already planning another trip next winter.
