Took my 5yo son for his first snowboarding lesson here. He fell asleep in the car on the way home just as we were leaving the parking lot. Mission accomplished! He also has fun and asked to go again so we are this weekend.

I loved the view of the snowy mountaintops and conifers upon arrival. I tried snowboarding for the first time and found it very fun, especially after I moved from the practice "bunny slope" to the significantly longer slope with the chairlift.
The staff member from whom we bought our tickets was very friendly and helpful as well as patient with our large group. Since we went night skiing (~ 4:30-7pm), both lessons and equipment rentals were free, so overall it was relatively inexpensive! Unfortunately, the teachers didn't seem very enthusiastic but did their job.

Fun place but family needs to be 16 and older to really enjoy what it has to offer. Typically expensive as any ski resort area. Mountain coaster was fun but much too short for the money. Scenic lift was very nice ride.

Went for xc skiing. Get there early to make sure you can rent gear, they almost ran out by noon when we went. The xc trails can be a mix of groomed and ungroomed depending on conditions, check their website. Most of the green trails are very accessable to beginers. Skied up to the campfire where they had hot coffee, cocoa, and smores... You can also go of trail on some snow shoe loops

Hi folks,

Hi folks,

I arrived this morning for first chair. Big sun and a warm day! Big disappointment. Complete lack of social distancing at the lift. Limited signage with no attempt to keep skiers socially distanced at the lift!
Improvement is urgently needed!

Tubing park is way overcrowded, they sell way too many tickets for tubing and you spend 1 and half hours out of your 2 hour slot waiting in lines and only 30 min of actual tubing, got to go down 4 times only in 2 hour window, will not be coming back here again for tubing.

Well we reserved 12pm snowtubing they told us they were delayed 45min to 145min. Not allowed to sit in the second or part of the third floors of the lodge to wait. Where you can wait were full. We have yet to see the sloped so I may edit. 3rd floor staff shoo'd us out because they don't open until 1pm. Hopefully we will be on the slopes by then. At this point I am very unhappy.

Gunstock is a very fun mountain for skiing/boarding. There is a good variety of trails to keep busy all day, and the terrain parks offer a bunch of features. I have gone multiple times this season, but was disappointed on my recent weekend visit with how the lift lines are being handled. Lines are very long and people will come right up against your back and not have masks on despite COVID and all state mandates. Lift staff occasionally remind people of masks, but there is no system in place to social distance. I have noticed other mountains doing a much better job of regulating COVID requirements. With all of that said, I would recommend a midweek trip because the mountain is very nice, and the staff is friendly.

I camped here during Soulfest last week and I plan on going back again next year! The main lodge is big and spacious and kept very clean and polished.
The view from the top of the ski lift is beautiful.
There are lots of activities for children and adults alike not only during Soulfest but year round; they also have a boardwalk.

This is perhaps the greatest family oriented mountain in New England
I work as a volunteer here, and because hundreds of volunteers work for this Belknap County owned mountain, it has a special atmosphere because the people who work here feel a special ownership of the place and what they do here.

The terrain is great for a moderately small mountain, and the view from the summit is one of the best in all of New England as well.

So, this just happened. We had this great day skiing in fresh snow with my step-son and his kids. It wives don't ski, so they spent the day in the Lodge catching up. We were splitting up and giving hugs downstairs in the middle of the lodge while the food service workers were finishing cleanup in the cafeteria, and they joined right in and hugged us good-bye. It was great.

Went to see the adult racing on Thursday night, the race was cancelled due to last minute fog, but I had to find that out from one of the racers, suggest you put up a message board at the lodge so everyone can be informed.

We have visited this recreation area in all seasons and always found it to be a value for the price. The views from the summit of Lake Winnipesaukee are spectacular and can be enjoyed both summer and winter. The skiing and winter tubing are fun and gauged toward family enjoyment with and outdoor slope side bar on Saturday afternoon and free s'mores on Sundays. We have also enjoyed the Mountain Coaster, Tree Tops Course, Segway rides, and camping in the summer.

It was a great great day. Lots of value for your money and more activities than I expected. If you know what you're getting into, it's hard to be disappointed with this beautiful place. Made me proud to be from New Hampshire. The people were really nice and it was just a lot of fun.
