I did three tours with them, kangaroo Island, Barossa Valley and great ocean road,. Overall experience mediocre as on kangaroo Island we managed not to see many kangaroos (although few individual ones but only on a farm where the hand-fed young ones that then stayed), in BV tour we had to stop at a random and ugly toy factory (???) and we did not see the really good wineries. The worst was the GOR tour where we basically just drove in a small and uncomfortable van. When asking to stop at the koala Cafe and drive up the hill to see koalas (tip of many people) the guide refused (with the statement "there are Koalas all along the way" - we didnt see any) as well as to stop in Lorne, one of the bigger cities and sea- Baths in the area. Instead we had to stop for 90 mins at a random surf outlet just because the guide had to buy food for the next group starting next day... Which lead to the fact that we arrived in MLB only after sunset and we couldn't enjoy that on one of the many rooftops. Guides are friendly and funny, but too inflexible and it seems as if they only stop on sites where they get kickbacks from the owners.

I want to explain a little
The tour program is good.

We wanted to interrupt the tour in first day 3 hours after we arrived on a kangaroo island, only because of the guide.
We wanted to call the company but the phone written on the bus advertisement was not available.
Perhaps if the phone was available the problem could be solved.

When the guide realized that we want to contact his company, he began to ignore us and be rude.

He refused to help us.

In the evening he drank a lot of alcohol and was rude to us.

We had to sit on the bus and not go on excursions.

We left just for this reason.

Booked the Barossa valley tour 3 days prior and lucky enough to secure 3 seats. Inquired about the Groupon deal which was already full but given another deal which we couldn't refuse. Overall great customer service.

The tour itself took us to a couple other spots which were interesting. Had tasting at 5 wineries and a pizza lunch at Saltram.

Best red wines at Kies family winery! Chocolatier port at Lambert was good too although a bit too sweet for me...

Andy the guide was great! Very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful tour of South Australian wineries!

Barossa Valley Awesome Tour !! Traveling alone, it is sometimes difficult to fit into a group. Nevertheless, this tour was great, with a small group (9 people), the vineyards visited were top, good reception, a lot of different wines tested. And the guide Marc, always smiling and interested, was really great.
I recommend Groovy Grape Tour, and more specifically Barossa Valley
Wine Tasting Tour.

Had an amazing tour the rock to water, with the amazing tour guide Sam, cannot recommend this tour company enough. Had the chance to see some amazing views and great walks whilst experiencing some of the best that NT and SA that they've got to offer.

Sam was amazing tour guide, gave us a fantastic time, great food and an incredible amount of information to offer us even with our sometime stupid questions.

If you ever want to get from Alice Springs to Adelaide take the long route and go take this tour.

This was a great day out and was excellent value for money. Em was very friendly and a fantastic host/driver passing on her knowledge of the Barossa Valley.
Although predominantly a young crowd (<30) there were a couple of us young at heart that were made to feel just as welcome.
We visited 3 wineries and one tasting room with a couple of sights on the way. The wineries were great (particularly Kies) and the included lunch was extremely nice and quite filling.
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to tour the Barossa with having the added bonus of it being at a very reasonable price.

This is the worst trip in my life.

This is the worst trip in my life.

I bought a tour on Kangaroo Island for 2 days (November 7-8, 2018) with Groovy Grape Tours.

When we got on the bus, there was luggage on the aisle, through which we had to step over. At the request to remove the suitcase from the aisle, the driver-guide did not respond.

The driver-guide talks to people older than him, as with children, and says stupid jokes.

I asked the guide questions, but he ignored me. After that, I asked how to stop the tour and leave. The guide said that you cannot do this and he will not help us.
We had to not go on excursions and sit on the bus. We ate nothing and did not drink a day and a half.
I hate to sit at the same table with a blunt guide.

On the first day at 9pm, the driver-guide drank strong alcohol.
With 7 am the driver to carry people all day is not safe to ride with him.
To my requests to call or answer some questions - the guide did not respond and was frankly rude.

As far as I understand, we had booked another hotel - Vivonne Bay Lodge. When we asked why we were settled elsewhere, the guide began to ignore us.
When we went to the toilet, the driver began to mock, closed the bus and left. We had to wait for an hour for him. It was very cold outside.

We were left at the cruise terminal on Kangaroo island. Now we ourselves will get to Adelaide.

I will try to make a very bad advertisement for your company.

We were bound for Kangaroo Island for the overnight tour when the guide received word from the office that there were fires and posed a risk. The tour was cancelled with a full refund and to top it off, the guide took us around some of SA's coastlines for the day before dropping us back off in Adelaide.
They made the best of a bad situation and for that we recommend Groovy Grape Getaways.

Me and my group visited best places in South Australia and Northern Territory. Tour guide Tom was really cool and amazing. We had great time with him. I will definitely visit this place with my family and friends next year with groovy grape tours.

We did the 'Rock to Water' tour with Groovy grape and I have to say it was the best trip we did in Australia. Our tour guide was more than helpful, funny just an all round great guy. His knowledge was second to none and even did a small excursion so we could see Mt Connor. Thank you Sam. Went on some fantastic walks and saw some amazing sights that we wouldn't have seen if it weren't with Groovy Grape. Highly recommend this tour company.

Slightly delayed one from us.... Ben and I did the Adelaide to Darwin tour in January and it was amazing!! We had a great group, our tour guide Sam was awesome and the walks were insane!
Sam knew his stuff re the outback, was super chilled and made us tasty home cooked food for nearly every meal. There was always plenty and it was varied.
The bus was great, reliable right through. The places we stopped were beautiful.

Massively recommend. The best tour we had in Australia by far.
