I am very pleased with the service provided by Joanne Seminara at Grimaldi and Yeung. Joanne took ample time to discuss my estate planning objectives with me. As a practicing attorney, I appreciated Joanne's thoroughness and professionalism. I highly recommend her.

I practically never review businesses. However my parents worked with this firm based on my two childhood friend's referral whom are both attorneys. They referred Pauline and it began with promise. But this firm steadily lost our respect. Once they completed their templated tasks and are paid in full, they ignored my mother's request for additional information because my father death occurred before she was able to complete her estate planning. To be frank, this firm and the partners' sole priority is to gain new client business only. It is a mill for new packaged estate planning. Naturally. Because there is a limitation on life expectancy. After your first consul, you'll seldom see the partners themselves unless you're paying their hourly. And rather than deal with their current clients, the partners spend more time in senior homes and centers pitching what you need in your later years. But what you won't get is the sincere respect that your parents or you deserve in your elder years. You will find as good if not better and more attentive consultation from smaller or individual elder attorneys. My mother's new elder attorney is an example of this. And my attorney friend's will not be recommending this firm again. Good luck in your search.
Judith Grimaldi was recommended to us by our financial advisor. We found Judith and her staff to be caring and efficient in helping us set up end-of-life documents. We have recommended her office to friends and family who are looking to make similar plans.
Pauline Yeung-Ha and her colleagues were so thoughtful and patient with us as we prepared our (long overdue) wills. It was a daunting endeavor and they made the whole process extremely painless. I highly recommend them.
Since 2002, I have been a client of Grimaldi & Yeung and have always found the attorneys and staff at Grimaldi & Yeung to be very knowledgeable and superior in the fields of estate planning, Elder Law, and Medicaid. I was well informed throughout the process and felt very comfortable with my attorney, Pauline Yeung-Ha, and I was treated with the utmost dignity and respect. I would highly recommend Grimaldi & Yeung to members of my family and friends, as I have in the past.
I have worked with Judith Grimaldi for several years over various incarnations of the legal documents necessary in my life. She is kind, knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. The atmosphere in the office which she shares with two other attorneys, equally qualified I am sure, is relaxed and collegial. People matter here. I'm not crazy about having to attend to this stuff but if you've got to take care of business, this is a really good place to do it.
Pauline Yeung-Ha is an understanding and compassionate lawyer. My husband and I desperately needed help with elder care applications and found Pauline through a personal referral. We were beyond satisfied with her professionalism and ability to talk us through the process in a calm, direct manner. Angela, her paralegal, was also professional and efficient. I would recommend Pauline and her firm to anyone who is feeling overwhelmed and looking for help and support through the Elder care planning process.
Pauline Yeung-Ma and Angela Choy will patiently guide one's family through the details and documenting needed for elder care and estate planning. They are very professional and experienced in making sure every detail is handled with patience and compassion. Highly recommended!
What is the main quality you want your lawyer to have? The answer of course is knowledge and experience. I retained Grimaldi & Yeung to help me with a Medicaid Application. It was a very involved process, but the lawyers at Grimaldi & Yeung handled the details flawlessly. Their knowledge and experience resulted in the approval of the application expeditiously. They were courteous and friendly throughout the process. I highly recommend this law firm.
On the advice of financial consultants we have been working with for years we asked GRIMALDI and YEUNG to assist on the setting up of a Trust Fund in New York for our disabled son. This involved getting access to funds that had previously been administered by a state court. This involved considerable complications as while we are US citizens we are located in London and our son could not travel to the US to make court appearances. GRIMALIDI and YENUG did an exceptional job both representing us and keeping us informed at every stage of the process. We had as much access as we needed both to the excellent junior staff and also to one of the principals of the firm Judith Grimaldi. The firm set up a Skpe interview with a court appointed assessor so he could to determine to the judge s satisfaction that our son was not able to represent himself and made many other interventions with the court to facilitate and expedite the process. It terminated in a result that was completely to our satisfaction. Besides achieving the desired result the firm gave lots of helpful advice to ensure the trust was set up in a way that will facilitate its use to our son s maximal advantage. This firm provides an excellent service with a staff that are fully engaged, fully professional, and in fact are downright friendly.
We used the law firm to create a will and some other documents for our senior citizen mother. Michelle Yeung did an excellent job in a very timely manner under the difficult circumstances due to the Covid virus and all of us being remote to NY City. She made sure that everything that we wanted was put into those documents, took the time to explain everything carefully, and got it all done remotely. We all felt it was done very professionally and would recommend highly the firm.
We have been working with the staff at Grimaldi and Yeung for close to nine years. We have been treated with the greatest respect and understanding of the issues we face. This is the only Law firm that I would recommend to anyone facing issues with retirement planning and or estate planning. The important thing though is to listen and follow through on their recommendations. Especially if you have a loved one dealing with either physical or neurological difficulties
I was forced into a difficult lawsuit with a bitter relative regarding my mother ...Judy was amazing. She was knowledgeable thorough and relentless in working for me to a favorable outcome. She was very generous with her support kindness and her time. I would never had survived without her. She is the only person to call.Highly highly recommend..I never felt lost or forgotten she will have you back.Wonderful lawyer and person! Her staff is equally amazing very helpful and patient. It is truly qualified full service. You won't be disappointed
I retained Grimaldi & Yeung to prepare and submit a Medicaid application for nursing home care on behalf of my mother. During the process, it was determined that my sister and I should place my mother's house in a revocable trust, something I had not considered. I was glad Grimaldi & Yeung had the expertise to suggest it.
My overall experience was extremely positive and I will retain them in the future for any legal matters I may have that they handle.
Truly thankful to Joanne Seminara, Esq and Angela Choy, Paralegal. I was at my "wits end" trying to maneuver the Medicaid MLTC process for my Mom. I met with Joanne and immediately felt at ease. With compassion she explained a clear and concise plan how to move forward. Angela communicated with me in detail and kept me abreast throughout the process. She responded promptly to all my questions and concerns. I am extremely pleased Mom finally got the services she so desperately needed.
