Great place to live! I would have stayed there for much longer if my job wouldn t have taken me to a new state. Apartments are well built and have very nice upgrades. Staff is great! They are really nice and helpful. Shoutout to Miranda she s super nice and helpful!

Wish you could give no stars... The staff seems to discriminate... based upon how much you make... 75k/yr is "barely meets the line of the caliber person we would want to live here".

Mostly Mid age 30-45 yr old Professionals along with a few College Pre Med and law students. Pets are welcome with a pet deposit. Many of the residents have all breeds if dogs. My wife and I been leasing a 1300sqft 3bed 2 full bath apt/condo with a nice Deck for over a year now. Only issue we've had thus far us Parking on the weekends. Not enough parking for the amount of homes. Not including weekend guest! Other then that. It's Clean, quiet, away from the down town chaos, and has East access to Leestown Rd, Goergetown Rd, New Circle rd, and 75! Pools just opened so come on by and check us out!!
So, despite the reviews on here I decided to move in and give it a shot. Signed a one-year lease so, I am in it for the long haul. The office has been professional and responsive during the rental process. absolutely no issue there and very friendly. The only reason for 4-stars at this point is due to the length of my stay. I need more time to really give a full review. 1. Apartment overall a very nice apartment. 2nd floor 2 bedroom. Clean, great appliances, and so forth. quality of apartment is a real good deal for the price. 2. As for sound, the master bedroom is backed up to the stairway, and with it being a wooden stairwell you can hear people going up and down the stairs. I am a pretty sound sleeper, so it really doesn t impact me. (UPDATE- No issues on this) 3. UPDATE- The upstairs apartment, you can clearly hear the walking. But after talking to the tenants they totally understood and were more than accommodating. Hardly hear them now. Good people! Not a bad experience at all. Again, I went and talked to them, they had no idea they were being that loud. Sometimes you just have to talk to your neighbors. 4. Train yes there is a train, there is a complex across from me blocking it. At night it sounds like a loud air conditioner kicking on. Not a big deal to me; however, I wouldn t want to be in the complex right beside it. (UPDATE) Its pretty repetitive.. about 430am, 530am, and on off throughout the day. I get up early so not a big deal but noticeable. Nothing can be done about it, so you have to get use to it. 5. Cable Internet The suite solutions hooked me up yesterday. The speed is great, stream movies in 4k without an issue and for $85 for the first year its not bad. 6. Community it s a mix of college age and business professionals from what I can tell. Lots of pets, but I never hear them. (UPDATE) no issues. Everyone keeps to themselves, no issue with dogs or barking.. seems like a great place for dog owners. Update- Overall not bad. Depends on many things. Just make it through a year and we will see. I am on week four.
It is apartment living. I have lived in my own home for 23 yrs and this is an adjustment and I have only been here for a few weeks. My hopes are this continues to be a positive situation. The largest negative I have seen so far is the leasing agreement. The documents are set to punish you financially if you break the lease or damage the complex. If I was a property owner, I would probably do the same. But there are no accommodations from what I see for circumstances out of your control that would cause you to break the lease. IE- medical, death in family, job termination ect.
Well, I have moved out. The apartment life was good, and no issues. I left the place in the same or better condition than I found it. Swept the floors, cleaned the bathrooms and touched up the walls. (yes I bought a gallon of paint for $20) and fixed the scuffs and holes) didn't have too but I wanted to leave it nice. Overall, I would highly recommend this place if you cannot afford to buy a home. Its a great place to transition from, just be sure to pay attention to the fees they hit you with. They have the lease tied up really tight to make you pay if you don't hold up your end of the deal. I had to pay for a lost pool band, $10. and would have been hit on stains on the carpet if I hadn't called them out in my pre-move-in inspection. So pay attention to the condition when you move in.
The units are really nice and close to Leestown which is very convenient. The staff has recently started cracking down on noise and people leaving pet waste. Very happy about this change so I updated my review. The only bad thing is the train next to some units but that doesn't bother me very much.
Everything looks perfect on the outside...But, trust me, you do not want to deal with this place. The staff is extremely unprofessional and frankly, unpleasant. I m awoken every morning by construction work and there is no recycling. And if you think this is a quiet place to live away from college parties, you are mistaken. I m not the kind of person to go out of my way to write bad reviews unless I feel that it is absolutely necessary. This place is NOT worth the money. There are plenty of other nice complexes to live in where the staff are agreeable and helpful.
I ll give it a 2 mainly because it looks nice and I loved the area. It s in a nice, quiet part of Lexington. The only thing I miss is the pond and seeing all the ducks. The Cons: Management is not friendly at all. There was maybe one nice person in the office. The actual management acted like they didn t care about your problems and was super rude and short on emails. I don t believe I got a thank you the entire time I lived there in an email, in a work order, etc. I work in healthcare management and if I lacked the customer service skills these guys have I would have been fired a long time ago. Save yourself the money and go somewhere cheaper because I promise you you ll regret the price for what you get. If you are a young professional or have a family DO NOT LIVE HERE. This place attracts college students and dealers who party nonstop. I have videos and audio. Some nights people were partying so loud I could hear EVERY SINGLE LYRIC to their songs. My dog was consistently on edge from the people next door. One of my biggest issues is that we rented a washer and dryer and they didn t bill us for about 5 months. Not a big deal because obviously I d pay for something that I was using, but the way staff approached it was ridiculous. We didn t receive one apology for their mistake and they expected the payment quickly, which was fine because I have the means, but once again ridiculous that I never received an apology and they were super nasty about their own administrative error. Save yourself the money and rent somewhere 500-750 a month because that s essentially what you get with the types of people that live there and the lack of respect from management. In college I lived in dumps that were like $500 a month to rent a townhouse and people were more respectful than the neighbors and management there. Myself and a couple of neighbors in other buildings who I got to know believed that there was a fair amount of dealing going on. There would be random old cars with questionable people pulling up at odd hours of the night. Constantly, people were outside being extremely loud and drinking at any given moment. Beer bottles were common to find laying outside, especially on the weekends. I don t even have any children and absolutely 100% would recommend to anyone with a child to not live here. They stay true to their word and say that they pull up carpet for pet stains when you move out, but they warn you up front (or at least they did me). Probably worst apartment experience I ve ever had and I ve lived in multiple ones in multiple states for 10 years. It was a long year.
Everything looks perfect on the outside...But, trust me, you do not want to deal with this place. A one star rating is to high for the unprofessional/unpleasant staff. I typically do not go out of my way to write bad reviews unless I feel that it is absolutely necessary. There are plenty of other nice complexes to live in where the staff are agreeable and helpful.
I have lived here in a two bedroom apartment since October, and I love it! The staff and maintenance are very friendly and prompt if I have any issues or concerns. The gym has everything you would need and is open 24 hours! Not to mention, they have resident socials periodically to encourage neighbors To hang out! The pool looks amazing...I can t wait to try it out! :)
If I could give this facility 0 stars I would. Firstly, they claim that they are "pet friendly," but if your animal makes any kind of noise, you'll get a 14 day notice to correct with an eviction threat shortly after. And should your pet decide to depart this world or just the apartment, they'll continue to charge you pet rent until your lease expires. They will also update your lease should you decide to add pets and fail to provide you with an updated lease.
The ceilings are not insulated well, if at all- meaning you have the pleasure of hearing every single thing your upstairs neighbors do, including conversations and bedroom activities.
They never disclosed the FRIEGHT TRAIN that passes by within 150 yards of living space, which is a super awesome thing to hear when you're trying to sleep. Add in the noises from your neighbors and it's as if the apartment is conspiring to prevent you from resting. Not to mention the construction going on in the adjacent development that you get to hear.
2 separate occasions the Lexington police had cause to visit the complex, once for a fight in the parking lot, and the other some guy was dragged out in handcuffs (and is still living there).
Management (if they're even in the office) isn't helpful unless you're giving them money, and never investigates any kind of complaint. Should you be unlucky enough to have a complaint made against you, good luck fighting it. Management puts absolutely no thought into whether the complaints are retaliatory or legitimate, and has zero interest in things like video evidence or paperwork to prove you could not have done wrong. Even if you can prove that your apartment was completely empty, they don't care and will hold you accountable to the whims of petty neighbors.
Bottom line, don't give these people your money. Find somewhere else to live where you have a fighting chance at enjoying your surroundings
This place is beautiful on the outside me and my boyfriend and 2 year old have lived here for two years. But DO NOT LEASE FROM THESE PEOPLE. The lady in the office is SUPER RUDE and unprofessional. They lost my check for rent twice and she told me when you drop it in the drop box it s at your own risk. All they care about is money money money!!! It s not worth the money these apartments are very expensive and made very cheaply. This is my first time ever writing a review for anything. Trust me when I say this go else where.
If you have kids, this place is not for you. Their staff is rude, hateful, and inconsiderate. I have had to call the police on my neighbor for threatening me, and nothing was done. Yet, my 4 year old daughter threw chalk accidentally off my balcony and they sent me an eviction notice They are very discriminating. So, if you have kids, or are a decent person that minds their own business I would look elsewhere.
I ve lived here for almost a year now and I love it. The staff are always so nice and the amenities are amazing! I get great use out of the computer lounge and coffee bar and my kids are super excited for the pool to open.
It is indeed a beautiful complex. The units are new with stainless appliances, large rooms and granite countertops. However, the caliber of (some) residents is troubling. If you are a professional seeking a quiet place to live, this is not it.
I moved into Emerald Twenty Four in December of 2017. The place is brand new. I love the layout of my apartment and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Emerald 24 to anyone looking.
I already love Emerald Twenty Four and I don t move in until next month! April Murray, leasing manager, has been AMAZING during my pre-leasing time answering all questions, always kind, keeping me up to date with the construction in my building, adding me to all resident newsletters and info, etc. The apartments give you a luxury feel and are new! Amenities such as the gym, Mac computer center, gourmet coffee bar and pool are nice. Can t wait to try it out!
Staff is great! The apartments are so spacious and new! Keep in mind, these are apartments so you will hear neighbors music or dogs from time to time! Love this community!!!
New, (Studio, 1bd, 2bd, 3bd apartment/condo, townhouses)$780-$1200 conveniently located in Lexington Ky 40511 between Greendale rd & Citation Blvd. Close to Leestown Rd, Georgetown Rd. & I75. Mixed aged community, of students & professional adults. Rent is reasonable if you have a roommate or two. But could be pricey to some starting on there own.
My fiance and I have lived here for about 5 months. WE LOVE IT! I am a very picky person, so choosing the right place to live took forever. I do not see why there are so many bad reviews on here. This place deserves 6 stars! First off, the maintenance staff is quick and they're friendly. The guys always call before showing up, given we have a pet and I work from home. Alex and Shawn are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure the repairs are done right. I also want to say that the staff is the office has always went out of their way to help me. Every time I have a question I get a fast response. Laura has been one of the ladies who has helped the most. But they're all fantastic. I really appreciate the great communication from all parties. We are extremely happy to live here. The house is clean and still looks new. Love Emerald 24!
This place is absolutely ridiculous. I have lived here not even a month and have had to deal with so many ridiculous things already. Not referring anyone to live here. Ever.
I have renewed my lease a few times here at Emerald Twenty Four - something I ve never done anywhere else. I was the very first person to have lived in the apartment which has been SO NICE! I feel very safe here and I love how dog friendly the complex is! The staff has always been extremely friendly and accommodating. Shoutout to Mariah in the office!!
Paid my holding fee and application fee only for the lady from the office to tell me they wouldn t have anything available around my requested move in date. This occurred just a couple weeks before I move out of my current apartment. Lexington is a popular place to live right now and it is tough to find somewhere to live within a couple weeks. Absolutely horrible service. Thanks for lying to me.
Who's got 2 thumbs and can spot a place that's over priced? Mr. Mike Hunt. That's who. I toured an apartment yesterday, and I won't lie, the place looked good... but the sticker shock was rough. I'd rather spend my money somewhere else. Also, the staff is remarkably rude.
I cannot say enough about the office and maintenance staff! They are helpful and quick to respond. I had an incident with my keys and the maintenance man went above and beyond to help me. So unbelievably nice!!!!! I love my place.
They recently implemented a fine for those who refuse to pick up their dog's waste. I am so happy about this because the lawns had become a proverbial minefield when there was no penalty in place. It meant having to wash off my dog's paws after every venture outside, now I don't worry so much. All around a good place to reside.
