Greensboro's finest open air drug market. Do not stay here if at all possible.

Fortunately, this public blight has been scheduled for demolition and will be relocated down Market St. by the airport within the next 18 months.

This place is a public shame. The shelter is always full but 80% of the people are the same people who leave for a month and come back. This is where the homeless who hang out downtown sleep at night.

The scheduling will hold you back and reduce opportunity. You have to leave at 7am be in by 7pm - because they treat everyone like a crackhead on parole and you can't be trusted to be in the street after dark.

The inside is built like a prison. People don't transition out, they are put out. Overbearing super religious staff who force you to pray before every meal. Not safe. Home to rapists and murderers who cannot stay anywhere else. The majority of clients are drug addicted felons. There are a large number of registered sex offenders. Whatever it takes to fill the roles and keep those tax deductible donations flowing, right.

Terrible odor of body odor, urine, cigarettes, cheap weed, and crack cocaine

The staff steals donations for themselves. Openly racist towards white clients. Totally arbitrary rule enforcement. Female staff regularly sleeps with clients, prepare yourself for a conflict of interest.

People get high and drink in front of the building. Very high risk of contracting disease. There are dirty needles on the sidewalks and walkways. Police show up every 3hrs but cannot control the crime in broad day on a main thoroughfare. Public drug use at both of the bus stops.

Terrible food. Terrible staff that has no background in social work. But if you bribe them you can bring in drugs and make money at night.

You cannot give blood if there is any indication that you have stayed there. Very unsanitary place to live.

People smoke crack in the bathroom and shoot up in the beds at night.

Security cares more about food in the beds than the drugs and violence.

Despite it being a Christian organization - the director is a flaming homosexual who allows transexual men with penises to stay in the women's dorm. He is very passive aggressive and is terrible at conflict mitigation. You will be thrown out for defending yourself against violent felons. Reporting a problem will not help.

No gaurantee of security. They let anyone in. Incompotent and underpaid staff workers.

I've gone here for help with food and financial assistance. When I came for food, they gave me food that was already in the process of going bad. I'm a student who works part time and am paying for everything myself. I lost my job last December and had to use a majority of my rent money for a down payment of school. Last month I scrounged up just enough to pay my rent, but it took me the whole month to find another job. So I called them for financial assistance and over the phone they basically turned me away saying my financial need wasn't a crisis. If I could give them less than 1 star I would, what ministry turns people away when they need help and are actually tryna better themselves?

They say that they help with past due rent and eviction but it seems like it s really hard to get them to help. Kept calling the number it kept saying no funds. Not sure what a person has to do just to get help from this place

I brought someone here who was seeking emergency shelter and before this person could get out of my car an employee came up to my car being very nasty to the both of us! I was truly disgusted by his behavior and if he is a reflection of this establishment I feel sorry for others who ve gone here seeking help.

They help people real good but some of the workers their take it to far they do not allow the people that stay their to look at t.v some times on first shift one lady acts like she owns it and they just change the rules to shite them and not thinking of the people that live their , in the rules it do not say any thing about you can not look at sports and that you can not see football i thought is was a place to encourage people to get their life together to me it feels like they are their just for a pay check and not really caring about the people that live their some of them care and some don't it a good place but they need to understand that people living in the shelter are their to be encourage to do better not shot down with rules that are not on paper to me they make new rules to suit them
