If you are looking to install Solar System please do not use this company. In the beginning they contact you non stop and offer you everything they can to prove why you should pick them only to find out that they like deceiving people. They withhold full information and go with the plan convenient for their company. They took from us $29k paid in full only to find out that it doesn t cover a single electric bill! Over and over we explained what we were looking for with promise that they would deliver. So many countless conversations we had over and over again with no actual resolution. The last manager we talked to claims that she was the last resort and no one is higher than her. Then she expects us to stay calm knowing they took so much money with no resolution and saying good luck to you with our legal dept. many of our customers who end up going that route loose. I will continue to research and find out who is over her and continue to let everyone I know of how awful this company is and hope that no one else ends up feeling like this.

We highly recommend working with Green Solar if you re wanting to go with solar power for your home or business. Every person we worked with from beginning to end of the process was friendly and professional. Everything was handled for us in a timely, efficient manner and our system was installed to our satisfaction and looks good on our home. We are very pleased and look forward to working with them for years to come.

Installation went well. There was one man only. The only issue is that he says he hates working with Penelec. It's been a week and I haven't heard anything about when the system can be activated.

A 4kw project and a 6 kw project ready for installation in February 2016.
A first electrical contractor cancelled just before installing any panels, causing a 3 month delay in both installations. Trying to cancel the contract to have it done by a local company (also much cheaper) was followed by threads of law suite to the ring of $10k.
4 kw completed and functional in June before they got paid (June).
Now 6 months after 6kw panel installation completed, still no production (Nov 2016)!!
nobody concerned but me...

Dennis was very helpful and worked to resolve the equipment issues we experienced at start up, He called to make sure all issues were fixed, including a three way call with the installer. The installation took longer than necessary because incorrect inverter was not replaced timely. Once the proper equipment was received the install went smoothly

Unbelievable service! From the sales rep Nester to the project manger Rain & site manager Jacob. The entire operation was nicely coordinated & all workers were pleasant, knowledgeable & professional. Green solar was amazing with communication & trouble shooting to solve any issues that arose. I would highly recommend this company, a real pleasure to work with.

The process was very easy. The people I dealt with were all very nice and easy to talk too. Any questions I had were answered quickly and the response time from the staff on any issues was fast. The work they did looked really good.

We live on an island in a hurricane zone so were initially concerned about wind and corrosion. With discussion and engineered diagrams and approval from the local building inspectors we went forward with the project.
Great process from start to finish, good communication with sales and installation staff.
Make sure your grid energy supplier accepts reverse power as ours (CPL) did not. So they got a month or two of free energy from our house.
Green solar helped to find a supplier that was happy to accept our switch (Green mountain Energy)
We had an inverter malfunction, which was replaced via warranty, it took a few weeks due to back order but Green Solar helped to speed up the process and keep me informed.
Although a big capital acquisition I am very happy with the whole process and our energy savings so far, but its not just about a smaller electric bill, trying to do a small part for the future of the planet for my daughters.
Highly recommend this group for your installation.

Talked to these folks about installing a system on my semi-rural property. The salesperson was nice, but asked questions that were so ambiguous I was constantly asking "what do you mean?" On top of that, I scheduled an appointment to discuss the project with an engineer for about 19 hours later which I confirmed with the salesperson. They were very stern about respecting the engineers time by being available at the correct time. Mind you, this is the first contact I had with them. I had not even had an opportunity to not show up yet.

A couple of hours later, I started getting phone calls, emails and texts insisting that I confirm the appointment (which I had just made). I was in a meeting at the time, but in the space of about 1.5 hours, I received repeated calls, emails and texts. WTH?? I'm not staring at my phone or email and I JUST confirmed the appointment. Not only that, the communications did not ask me to confirm...they were more or less "we're texting to remind you of your appointment. if you can't make it, let us know and we'll reschedule"...nothing specifically asking me to respond. I finally asked if they were waiting for a response from me, and they said "yes" so I confirmed. All their communications were unclear and not direct.

Now, get this, THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP FOR THE APPOINTMENT at the specified time! 45 minutes after the specified time, I texted them and asked what was up. They called me and said their engineers decided what I would need at my location was not cost effective for me. So you wanna harass potential customers to "respect your time" but don't offer it in return? I rescheduled my whole morning to be available. LAME and hypocritical. Good thing I didn't move forward and learn this later though.

Despite weather related setbacks as far as days that were not feasible for working on icy roof, the job went remarkably well. The installers cleaned up after completion and went through operating instructions. Overall I am completely satisfied . We have had 4 sunny days since the system has been operating and we are generating more power than we are using.

Imagine retiring with no mortgage nor electricity bill, this was my goal when researching solar panels.
Green Solar was a dream come true. They asked for a year of utility bills, pulled a satellite shot, calculated my need, provided a presentation, and a price tag. I continued to research and shop around - for three-months.:) However their level of quality and warranties were unmatched.
When I said go, they were on top of everything. We completed the loan digital signatures that day and I was given project points of contact. My regional project manager, Gus, was phenomenal. He took care of the local contractors, equipment orders, and permits -- homeowner's association, city, and utility company. He would check-in every week through-out the project.
Jesse and Jeremy were my local contractors. They arrived on site to take actual measurements. They went into the roof and basement checking the existing electrical system.(Reminded us to update of insulation this fall.) On site they adjusted the plan, at no cost, to make the system the most seamless. They were angels incarnate -- I felt comfortable and respected with them in my home and around my boys (4, 5, & 7 y/o).
The installation took three-days during to a rainy week in July (right?). They took breaks during the rain and worked whenever possible between 8:00am and 6:00pm.
With the city inspection @ 8:00, I was online with Independence Power & Light @ 11:00am the same day. IP&L installed a meter that RUNS BACKWARD! Blessed and highly favored.

Professional, Knowledgeable & very helpful. Willing to take you through every step & made the process easy & understandable. Their installation crew worked very hard though our weather conditions were terrible & did a fantastic job. We aced our state inspection. I highly recommend this company.

The people explained in detail what solar can save and costs and how it works and the rebate from the government there engineer was great explained everything sub contractors were great installing the panels

They re just good when troducing their product. Once you bought their product. It s very hard to contact them specially i am having problems with it for a long time. They are always on answering service. I am still paying my electric bill and at tbe same time paying the product. Regret buying this product.

Great over all experience with the install and overview of the system. Every step along the way from finding the system that would be best for me to the install was very professionally handled.
The only thing that has not happen, I requested a yard sign for my yard and was told 1 would be sent out. It has been 2 months and I haven't received one or gotten any meesage about one on the way. I have had several neighbors ask about the system and I feel a sign could help get more people intrestead in this system.

Great customer service. The sales, finance, and project management offices were very professional, knowledgeable, and prompt. I would highly recommend them to family and friends.

I was contacted by Michael Mecuro on or before 5/22 to discuss solar options for our home. It is during his presentation that I came to understand about the IRS tax credits and the local Oncor rebate that would assist me in paying for the very expensive solution. I was informed at the time that I qualified for the maximum rebate from Oncor of $8,500. I was then handed off to Keon Kidd to work on closing the deal. It is during his presentation that the rebate and tax credit was reinforced. I moved forward with the solar contract with the understanding that I would have work with my tax accountant for the Tax Credit and my solar provider would have to submit my application for the Oncor rebate. We are now a month after installation completed. I called my contact at the outsourcer contracted by Green Solar, to find out the status of my Oncor rebate and was told I won t be getting an Oncor rebate as Green Solar is not certified to file for the rebate with Oncor and the outsourcer does not submit rebate request for non-direct customers. I feel like I was intentionally misled with regards to this rebate when Green Solar was fully aware they are not capable of providing such a rebate and had no agreement with the outsourcer they picked to file for said rebate. This is misleading and fraudulent!

It has been great experience working on my solar project we with Jason and crew, green technologies. The people at HedgeHog electric did great job on the install and kept us in the loop. Thanks for every thing, Inspection is next! Looks great!

I have 33 panels and the new inverter box installed on my home. Very modern look, very professional install from a local company here in Texas. I pay 12 cents and sell back at 11. A much better way to go

Everything went well considering the stuff that happened on our end. The ball got dropped by them when it took a month to get the panels online after they were installed. Other than that we had a good experience.

The folks at Green Solar do the work for you. Financing is a breeze. The installation was highly professional and finished in one day. The system looks great. I am very pleased with the entire process.

I'm writing this because at this point I am so over green solar. We started this in February 19. We now are into the middle of July and do we have our solar yet. No! First Engineer project manager didnt do anything. Then they put someone else on it. Again I was one making phone calls to local power company and to the Electricians. As the power company still has a hard time getting ahold of the project manager and the electric company. And soul reason for us getting solar energy was so when we had storms I still had power. Well we have had 2 long outages so far and I didnt have power as green solar has dropped the ball. Today we are supposed to have panels but do we know if and when it will be here nope. No clue. I'm sure I'll add to this review as I have been put on hold and hung up on. I will not tell my friends and family to use this company as I'm over it.

My experience with the personnel at Green Solar Technologies and at Fosler Solar, the subcontractor here in Illinois, was excellent! The Green Solar representatives stayed in touch throughout the process and made my homeowner's task very easy. Fosler Solar personnel were also great to work with, completed the install and cleaned up all of the extra bits and pieces that remained. I have already experienced a full month of no electrical bill, except for the company's small operational fees. I am happy to recommend Green Solar Technologies!

My project manager did a great job for us from start to finish. He kept us informed and was quick to address any concerns. Awesome job!

Excellent throughout the process. However, once the job was completed and they got paid, I never heard from them again. Left messages but no return calls. Good customer service extends past the the initial sale which this company fails to have. This company proved to me that there excellent customer service ends once the check has been cut. It s too bad because I was really gonna advertise for them to all my friends and family. But they have failed to follow through so I have a change of heart. 4 stars for quality and good professional installation with good customer service through the initial process. 1 star for continued customer service.

year and a half now of our solar panels in full operation and we're very pleased. We had one small problem when one of the cells stopped working and the company sent out a technician and replaced it promptly. Great customer service and we're loving the zero electric company bills.

Still waiting for the meter from the electrical company to gain a credit from what I produces as power. Not yet satisfied.

I have just installed the electricity system through solar panels and the progress and the cost is extraordinary is the time inform.

Green Solar has been awesome. The technicians that did the installation made sure the site was cleaned once the installation was complete. The project manager was always just a phone call away and always answered when we called. We NEVER got an automated call but always got a person. John was great!!!! The installation technicians were great!!! We are so excited to start saving money on our solar units. We just got online with our system today. So hopefully in 30 days we will be able to write another review about all the money we're saving.

Good salesman and good installers. Looks good on our roof. Now if the panel's work that good I will be very happy.
