Green flash not only has great beer and food trucks, but the events they throw are the best!

I've been to their trivia night which was really fun as well as their treasure chest rare beer party. Well put together events and the staff you can tell really enjoy what they do.

Must try in sorrento valley!

Excellent brewery with a massive selection of high quality beer. Tried many different types from Belgian dark ales to double IPAs to lagers and found them all to excellent. Great patio. A small variety of food bites are available from the food truck outside. Service is only at the bar in the taproom (for beer) or at the food truck (for food), so it was a challenge with a kid but we made it work.

Green Flash, one of the more successful craft brew...

Green Flash, one of the more successful craft breweries outside San Diego, though recently acquired by Alpine Brewing, still brews a tasty beer. The brewery is yet another of the warehouse breweries in what feels like a never ending office park north of San Diego, but the secluded beer garden with actual vegetation and green turf is pretty nice. It d be even better with some outdoor games like lawn bowling or corn hole, but it s still a nice place to hang out while sampling the beer. Full glasses or smaller tasters are available at the bar and the selection is pretty huge with about 2 dozen beers on tap from Green Flash and Alpine, though around half are pale ales of some variety. Those ales are very tasty in the California sun outside, and the more malty beers are fairly excellent as well. The tasters are fairly generous and make for a good custom flight. It also makes for a great stop on the beer tour around the area with so many great brews. There s also a gift shop inside and tours of the brewery available.

Fantastic beer selection, affordable prices, and great service. We met here for a few tasters before getting on the free shuttle to Cellar 3, their Poway outpost. We had received conflicting information about the shuttle departure time and the Green Flash staff was fantastic about correcting the mistake and making sure we were on the shuttle in time. The outdoor space is a great place to spend the afternoon drinking great beer. We didn't have any food from the food truck but it looked and smelled great!

Great tasting room, pretty easy parking and easy to find. Seams to bring in a friendly crowed and there looks to be a food truck on site most of the time (didn't try but looked good). If you're not into the IPA scene like myself not to worry, they still have a lot of great alternatives, I enjoyed "Willy Vanily" and "Belgique".

First off, I'm a HUGE fan and consumer of Green Flash brews.
A couple BIG no-no's that are easy to correct and I give this place a 5.
1) they have a smoking section(!!) on the patio...right by the food truck and not really away from the rest of the general public and only separated by a waist high fence. This is 2016 and we're in CA and you openly cater to the smoking environment?? I smelt nothing but cigs while trying to sample delicious beers. Yuk!!
2) They allow solicitors INSIDE the tasting room. I was approached 3 different times about purchasing Padres season tickets. Stop it!
I just want to try some amazing beers straight from the source and all I smell is cigarettes and am asked repeatedly if I want to talk Padres baseball ( even though I'm wearing my Nationals hat)
Sadly I had to leave after only one sample flight of beers and my one and only visit to this place from DC was tarnished.

Pays to have connections! Rolled up a few hours before they were open (because we forgot to check *facepalm*) and still managed to squeeze a quick tour and tasting in! Great to see where Green Flash is made. Was able to try a new (to me) variety on site as well. The Palate Wrecker Imperial IPA, great stuff!

A friend of mine that just so happens to love pizza and beer ALMOST as much as I do suggested trying this brewing company while I was visiting from out of town. It was the best accidental thing ever cause really he was looking for some food truck that he wanted me to try that happened to be at Green Flash Brewery that day. The stars were aligned in my favor because I had AWESOME beer, food and company!!

Doesn't matter if you already know what you want or your going to be coming in for tasting because the prices are prefect for either! 4 oz. tasters are $1 - $2.50, 8 oz. glasses are $2 - $5, 13 oz. are $4 & up and16 oz. are $4 & up. Some beer sizes and pricing options are more or less because of the alcohol content. I saw them ranges from 3.7% to 9.6% during my visit (Early June 2014)

The atmosphere inside and outside was extremely laid back. Why wouldn't it be?!? Everyone there loves beer! The tasting area inside is very open with lots of places to stand and talk with friends or buzzed strangers. AND one thing I really loved... I saw people taking their dogs inside! How cool is that? Beer tasting while getting your fur buddy out of the house too! MY top 3 beers (in no order) were: The Palate Wrecker, 30th Street Pale Ale and Le Freak.

The beer here is delicious! There is a huge selection. Food outside from a truck is also tasty. They have a bar for tasting, a gift shop and a bar to fill your growlers. They always have a special beer that is half off to fill your growler. They also have marked down beer that one can get a deal on. In January I bought a couple cases of Jolly IPA. It was a christmas beer with a christmas label that was due to expire in May - so it was priced cheaper than what it would cost me to buy the bottles in a brewing store!

Great beer and location

Great beer and location
Green Flash is definitely still here and, if anything, there seems to be more brewing equipment than when I visited last (a year ago). They had some of the cellar 3 barrel aged beers, alpine IPAs and both new + old favorites from the Green Flash range. Captive food truck out back served a good chicken sandwich.

Fun local spot with good crossover for beer geeks and their more "normal" friends. The rotating food truck lineup makes for good variety, and the mixed indoor/outdoor tasting area is large enough to accommodate the frequently large and enthusiastic crowds. Always lots of energy there! Liking a particular brewery is a matter of their tastes lining up with yours , and GF doesn't hit me 100%, but there are always a few things on tap that I like and the atmosphere makes it worth a visit.

No issues here! The beer isn't even expensive! I was expecting to pay significantly more. Also, forget the price, the brews here are fantastic. Even if you don't enjoy all the styles they have, you'll find something that you enjoy because they have at least 25 different brews.

Excellent place to come for beer tasting.

Excellent place to come for beer tasting.
4 oz. tasters are $1. It's so cheap and you can get pretty buzzed after a few tasters. I really like the West Coast IPA and the Palate Wrecker.
The atmosphere is super chill and I love that they play 90s hip hop and r&b.
There's an outdoor area with benches and heat lamps. There's also a food truck in front in case you get hungry.
They do a 30 min beer tour for $5. Those tends to fill up especially on weekends so get there early.

Great people making great beer, in a great environment. Wonderful large tasting room with outdoor patio, relaxed and friendly. Bringing food trucks for variety is a great idea. Tour by Sean was entertaining, informative and well worth the time and $5. Will definitely be going back every chance I get when visiting San Diego, taking people with me. A completely unexpected and positive experience, left smiling and definitely wishing them all the best for their future, growth and success. Can't say enough positives.

Much bigger, much nicer than it's former Vista location.

Dog Friendly for those with pups, felt a little like dog beach, perhaps more dogs than people?

Green Flash was one of my first foray's into local craft beer, about a decade ago. Who knew those pioneers would bring you a solid distribution model and a massive tasting room. One of the most accessible breweries across all of San Diego.

They keep things traditional over the past few years with food trucks and benches outside. Nothing wrong with a taco guys, but food trucks tend to put as much love into their food as these guys do into their beer, so it's a better fit.

With plenty of bar space they have enough staff to pour for the large crowds. Despite it's size it's almost always packed. Probably because of the 20 beers they have on tap on the reg. What I like about the breweries further south is they aren't just some HS reunion. People don't' get as sloppy here too because their beer is fairly tempered on the ABV. It's pretty centralized in the county so it's not too far for people to come north, south, east, or west for. Great in the summer with that hill top-y sunset view. When leaving watch your downhill speed on Mira Mesa as I catch myself doing 60+ easily.

They have a great variety of beers from reds, imperials, ipa's, stouts, etc. My favorite style is a high IBU, medium malty, medium ABV IPA which they seem to not do as well as others in SD. They are much more known for their lighter offerings.

With a rapidly changing selection I suggest trying tasters of them then get 1-2 of the top choice. I don't recommend trying full beers of each, party bus ride or not, it's a bad idea.

Great quality beers at Green Flash! They have many different beer on tap from both the Green Flash and Alpine brands. Most beers here are IPAs, but they have other varieties too.
There is also a Green Flash food truck at the facility where you can get some food to eat while you hang out. They are a kid/dog friendly spot too!

Big space so it's great for groups meeting up. Beer is high alcohol content and super cheap, plus they have half glasses and tasters and they'll give you a little splash if you're just trying to decide on your full pour. I loved the Trippel but I'm not crazy about hoppy beers. There's no food, but I think they have a food truck every day.

Attended a private event. Place is crowded and noisy, but the room was reasonably quiet, allowing trainers to speak without a mike. Food truck outside the facility can make for long waits... no food served inside. Good beer.

$5.50 for full pours, $2.75 for half pours, and $1.50 for tasters of on tap beers. "Rare" beers come in half pour ($5.50) and taster ($2.75) sizes. On-site food truck has burgers (beef, chicken, veggie), cuban and other sandwiches/sliders, mac and cheese, fries, street corn.

I love Greenflash. . .and even though the reduced the variety of food you can get (they now have their own food truck and don't typically bring in outside vendors anymore) they still have amazing food and a great atmosphere. Even when it's crowded it seems I can always get a beer really quickly.

Fantastic food truck. Tasters are great value. Dog friendly. Was not disappointed in anyway. Only downside was some of the hipster beer snobs don't seem to understand the basics of appropriate behavior. Other than that, the employees were all very polite and helpful, if a bit overwhelmed by customers at times.

I love this brewery! The Trippel is amazing, I can't believe it's as strong as it is. The staff is always very friendly. I love trying new things every time I'm there. The growler pricing is good, and the overall prices are great. It's the best when they have a special on a beer. Give them a shot!

Here on a Thursday, open at 3. Excellent selection of beers as well as a food truck serving both one handed and two handed options. Fresh beer on tap as well as rare and collab beers. There is even a shuttle that will take you to other area breweries and tap houses. Be sure to grab a growler filled with your favorite pour on the way out to enjoy later!

Used to be my favorite, but not anymore. There are just too many other great spots to drink now!

Way too crowded at the bar and hard to find a place to sit and eat my expensive pizza (that was totally worth the $12 actually, probably the best pizza i've ever had).

Even worse was the selection that day. I thought the brettanomyces beer was just plain bad. There was nothing malty to drink, nothing wheaty or belgian. Just hops + brett, hops + dark malt, hops + hops. I'm sure this changes regularly though.

Beers tasted alright, nothing that blew my mind. Also, they're not open late and they're quick to get you off their patio. The lady behind the counter thought I should limit myself to 4 tasters, which equated to one pint of beer... Not the best experience, but I guess others had better.

This place is a second home. Great people. The brewers and the tenders. Come here for a beautiful San Diego afternoon beer on a weekend. Get the tropical dna. Best beer in town. They always have unique, experimental beers on their menu while still keeping their core of perfectly crisp beers for a warm day, the perfect combination for sunny San Diego. A true local staple and a place I love to come to any day. I m welcomed with a smile and a cheaply priced high quality beer. Keep it up Green Flash

It's odd to see breweries in office buildings, but once you're inside, this is a cool brewery. They have a lot of beer options, mostly IPAs (which Is why I don't care for it much). Beers are cheap and they have even cheaper tasters, so you can try several without committing to a pint. You can ask for sip for free too and they'll give you literally a sip.

They have an outdoor area with dedicated smoking zone for those who do. There's a food truck out there as well. The food truck only has one vegetarian option + parmesan fries (which are really good).
