At partition in 1947, the company s operations in areas that are now Pakistan were incorporated under a separate company called Greaves Cotton & Co. (Pakistan) Ltd. This company inherited the agencies and activities of its parent company in Pakistan. Subsequently, the two companies were sold by their British owners to Pakistani and Indian interests.

Ghulam Faruque Group in 1964 acquired the controlling shares of the company and by 1981 Greaves become a wholly owned subsidiary of the Group.

Greaves Pakistan Ltd. has predominantly specialized in the sales and servicing of British engineering products with its Head Office incorporated in Karachi, regional offices located in Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar, and a number of sales and after sales centers located in smaller cities throughout Pakistan.

The main sales activities of Greaves has been in the field of earthmoving equipment, diesel and dual fuel generating sets, air compressors, CNG station equipment, industrial pumps and machinery for the sugar industry.
