One of Denton's jewels. And now the home of the beautiful Pops Carter art glass memorial. The GDAC is a tremendous asset to the community of Denton.

The Pops Carter memorial brought back fond memories of giving him rides home from Fry street in my youth.

Denton puts on the best arts and Jazz festival, ever!

The Patterson-Appleton Arts Center, headquarters of GDAC, is more than a public gallery. It's a community center.

We had an amazing family day on the Holiday Express Train which benefitted Denton County Friends of the Family. The train ride was so much fun and even had Victorian Christmas carolers singing and dressed in period costumes! It culminates at the Greater Denton Arts Council Building with a wonderful catered breakfast with hot chocolate, juice, and mimosas. Pictures with Santa, cookie and ornament decorating too! Cotton candy and treats for everyone as well! So much fun and for a very good cause! Will definitely get tickets again next year.

Hello! From July 9-13, 2018, my daughter attended a summer camp (guitar and art class) Excellent camp !!! Good teachers !!! Great work! Children are happy and happy! Looking forward to next year! Thank you!!!

Participated in an awesome program that awarded scholarships to graduating Srs in DentonISD and recognized exemplary students in the same.

Great space near downtown. Free gallery and always interesting shows. Good place for small parties and receptions.

Quilts by Barbara McGraw are incredible works of art well worth going to see! My friend asked my favorite & I couldn't choose. But after contemplating, I think it would be what the artist has titled Oya II. The name I would give it is Mother of the Universe. To me it suggested the Creator dancing and stitching the universe into being! Her pieces are very spiritual.

We went to see A Plain View - an exhibit of rural Texas photographs. The photos in and of themselves were fantastic. The disappoinment was that not a single one of them had any description. So no stories to take back with us. Not sure who is responsible for the captions / description and it I am blaming the wrong party here.

We also got to see another exhibition "God's World As I See It" by Paul Gray and also got to meet the artist... This was a sure bonus.

This was a tiny bike show. But there were some really nice bikes. And super friendly folks.

Every time I go I find something interesting to think about. I have seen mixed media, quilts and even books used in new and interesting ways. Always worth a half an hour to an hour of my time.

Great space to view local art, but also a great place to host events.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit (I was accompanied by a group of teenagers on a firld trip), and within walking distance of Klyde Warren Park! Do visit!!

Very cool spot to check out some nice artwork for free. It's pretty small but you can spend 30 minutes to an hour there pretty easily. Good place to go as part of an afternoon out in Denton.

Beautiful modern looking space, in an older building. Top notch exhibits, multiple gallery's inside, plus a work space for artists.. I haven't used it yet but great to know it's avalibile here.

Serene place with art work from local creators. Good, diverse collection.

Prepared for this really well !Denton Art and Jazz Festival was amazing. The groups that played and the vendors that brought their products down really put in the time and sold some amazing things.

Great place, with friendly staff. They also held great workshop for film makers.

I like the art designs they put up every time I walk in there.

Denton Arts Center was an AMAZING choice for our wedding reception. They were organized, friendly, and really showed how much they cared about us having the perfect day. I can't express how lovely our day went with them. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The Greater Denton Arts Council has served the Denton community for over 45 years. Serving almost 40 area non-profit organizations, the Arts Council s mission is to support, promote, and encourage the arts in the Greater Denton area. From music, dance, and theater to literature and the visual arts, each year.
The Arts Center, a 1920s renovated steam power plant, features a large multi-purpose space, two galleries, an arts studio, and dance rehearsal hall. The historic Campus Theatre is now the home of the Denton Community Theatre, Music Theatre of Denton, and other local performing arts organizations.

Materials Hard + Soft is a yearly international competition in its 32nd year, with entries from 28 states and 4 countries. This year the entries are over the top. Once again, this exhibition brings a big-city caliber show to downtown Denton, with free admission as always.

went to this place for the Denton Black Film Festival activities and had a great time. it's not the newest and could use some refreshers. but the artwork is kool. it's a great location to enjoy live music and community events

The staff here is super friendly and their events are fun for all! Big or small!
