The Village of Taunton Mills Review

Thank you for taking such great care of my Gram through this horrible pandemic.

Dreadful facility. Upon move-in we found that windows wouldn't open in the unit. No water pressure in the kitchen sink, no hot water at all in the bathroom. Known deficiencies in units of senior citizens go unrepaired. Terrible!!! An embarrassment to Whitby.

My father has a unit there. It is a great place for him. The nurses are fabulous. Very clean. The food options have a lot of variety.

Worst run place in the region. Miserable management.

Amazing facilities, pleasant staff who care about the residents. Pricey place to live but well worth it.

Incredible new residence wing which includes a memory floor. The staff are considerate, caring, helpful individuals & extend themselves in making sure all is being done to keep our loved ones safe and happy.

Everyday is special at the Village Of Taunton Mills.
My mother was in three retirement homes over the past year and she is now in the Long Term Care Facility on the Perry Wing
Each and EVERY Team member is a part of the Village Family and they work together as a team in the beat interest of each resident.
The caregivers are ALL phenomenal
They are caring empathetic professional knowledgeable and friendly.
They interact with the residents as if they are family members and take the time to listen.
The nurses the support team the kitchen team recreational team the Doctor the Occupational therapists and kinesiologist
They all work together
I am in awe and so grateful for the team
I visit my mother everyday and I have not seen one of the team members unhappy
They all work together so well
I am thoroughly impressed and would recommend the Village Of Taunton Mills to everyone.
The retirement part has many activities and there is such a social bond with the residents
They have a bake sale where the money raised is for children in northern Ontario
The residents do many activities together are engaged in both the retirement and the long term care
Last week I experienced the team bowling with residents.
This is how aging and long term care should be.

My Dad, Alan Cobel, lived on the retirement side from March 2016-July 17, 2019. He loved it here! The staff are exceptional! They work hard and we greatly appreciated it! There was always something going on for entertainment and friends to be made. Thank-you Tauton Mills for all the love, laughter and care that you gave!

My grandmother passed away and no one in my family was notified. They buried her and got rid of all of her belongings. We found out from the government through the mail two months after her death. My mother was listed as an emergency contact at the retirement home but no call. If I could give zero stars - I would.

The team on the front lines definitely hold this place together. As a former employee , I admired each and every one of them for their own unique reasons and in doing so, it encouraged a happy, uplifting employee morale where work was more about the passion and drive behind my colleagues rather than only being task-driven. By acknowledging the strong players in the team as per each unique scenario, it helps ensure that each resident is given equal opportunity to receive the best care suited to their specific needs. I loved the people, the community and the overall holistic approach, offering each resident a higher quality of life.

Looks impressive from the outside. Never been inside!

No complaints. Staff can be short but all in all a good place.

I have family that live there. The home is very much like a village, with an enclosed public library, Chapel, spa, general store, pet store, theatre, billiards and activity center. The dining hall and coffee shop are open concept, similar to a market. This setting helps the seniors feel like they are out and about in town and not stuck in a nursing home.

I'm glad for all the staff here. This is a great place to live. I visit a few times a month and am impressed every time. The residents are happy you can tell.

They were wonderful to my parents during their last months. Much cleaner and brighter than most long term care facilities

A very nice quiet retirement home. They have daily activities and the staff there are amazing. Places to eat, shopping and many other stores are all very close
