Great place to relax and get some decent wifi, plus the only place on base with decent wifi you can connect more than 1 device to.

You can't get an Uber leaving from here. You have to order an Uber Black which is much more expensive. Save yourself some long wait times by pre-arranging an ride if you're not renting a car.

Great people there, food is really good and although the building could use an update (-1star) it is a great place to enjoy free time.

Loved it so glad that I had an opportunity to go and watch the graduation

The folks here were exceedingly willing to help and knew their jobs. From cooks to techs to recruits, all were professional.

My son graduated from greatlakes a year ago and now has been assigned to a aircraft carrier and has been deployed, my wife and i are so proud of him, GO NAVY HOOYAH !!

The 4th of July celebration here is awesome. Just make sure to give yourself extra time to get into this place. Its a madhouse.

The overall atmosphere is welcoming despite how intimidating some of these people look. It was just amazing seeing all of the graduating cadets with my brother among them!

The USO of Illinois is an amazing place to stop in and take a break. The USO has supported my Army Reserve unit for BTA/SRP/YTB weekends with drinks and snacks even a briefing for the command teams. Great staff all around!!

Everyone is so friendly and they do so much for the Sailors.

Really Big Base, Went to the PX and Had Friendly Staff and MPs

This place put on Operation Home front event , it was run, smooth, quick, and organized.

It's not bad. As you could imagine, it's packed full of freshly graduated Navy Sailors from Great Lakes RTC on Friday's.

For new recruits on the base you need a arm guard request to escort you to gate 1. To pick up your apple deliverys fyi welcome

James Lovell VA hospital has done a great job getting me the care I needed.

O'HARE has two USOs, this is the one on the outside of TSA(zero terrorist caught to date) security. Staff is helpful and informative about the immediate area and airport information.

Wonderful retirement ceremony for my baby brother,I cried it was so wonderful!

This place is on a US government naval Base you must have a department of defense or cac card, or be a dependent of someone in the military or in the military or retired from the military to even go here, or have someone graduating from the naval academy boot camp and be invited to their graduation

My Grandson graduated from Great Lakes! Best dam sailor in the Navy!!!

Part of a Business trip, as a veteran we definitely appreciate everything they do for us and the newer service members we process into the various services daily, it shows that people Do care even in one of the Worst cities for crime in America.

Didn't actually visit the USO but did drive around the base where I was stationed from March to September of 1985 for IM "A" school. What a blast from the past

It's honestly home away from home. It's hard sometimes being away from family but here I feel welcomed and we're all family here.

Can't say enough for what the Uso does for all of our military personnel and everybody. Wonderful place wonderful people great organization

Went to the Fourth of July fireworks Show .Great Lakes Naval Base is an awesome time with the family and friends good Eats,Beer,Live Music this year even wrestling and paintball and other games there was also Bingo and some other Games there is even some rides for the kids but the Main Event was the Fireworks and well worth it while it doesn't cost to watch the Fireworks you do have to have I'D and no weapons because you are searched so it is actually a functioning Naval Base.

It was breath taking to see the history, and pride today inhabits these buildings!

Thank you to all of the fantastic volunteers! The service these people give to our new enlistee's in invaluable! I'll be donating to the USO and I encourage everyone to do the same.

Not only does the USO provide information and entertainment to our military, they also provide free beverages and food to them as well!
