Not a bad place, but doesn't really feel like it knows what it wants to be. Should be a pub, but doesn't have any draft beers or any real bar space, but also doesn't have enough of a menu or any real ambience to be a restaurant. And they charge service for bar drinks.

I went to greatgunssocial with my girlfriend for dinner after a fried recommended we should try the place. At first the place looked a little empty and we thoughts that was weird but I guess that's only due to the fact it's new and a little off center.
We had Pimpkim soup and calamari for starters which were great. Then we had a ribeye steak and a chicken role. The service was personal and nothing short of perfect. They slightly changed the main course as per the request of my girlfriend and they topped up our wine glasses on the house.
We had a Velrona chocolate desert which was also very good and the bill was 63 pound including service which is really cheap for that type of food.
Bottom line - very good food, perfect service worth every penny.

A very nice out of the way place, in the quiet back streets of Southwark. I was there for the pop up kitchen Tacutacu , excellent food, if you are heading there before the 2nd June 2019 you're in for a taste bud treat. Seems like they have rotating pop ups which is a great idea for a pub. The staff are mega friendly fun and helpful. A wider selection of beers on tap would be cool though. Strong inventive list of cocktails and wines.

I have to give a great shout out to Ash Who is by far the most knowledgable bartender I have met, his knowledge of the menu and the history of the bar is second to none.

The bar is casual, yet sophisticated, with moonlighting to make you feel as if you are drinking in the heart of the city. The contrast between the dark woods and the deep blacks of the walls is a welcome sight compared to many of the city's more over-lit establishments.

with a plethora of choice the bar has spared no expense on quality of the spirits, from plantation rums being absolutely amazing to unique home made spirits this bar is a passion of love than your run-of-the-mill bars.

For anyone who likes refined cocktails, warm and pleasant company, and a bar all about quality, this is defiantly the place to be.

Good food (pricey), nice place, won't go back... The Hungarian waiter was beyond rude!! Why spending all these money and efforts to redecorate a place, to serve quality food and then you leave it in the hands of people with no manners whatsoever, only to ruin everything?!! I don't blame the kid as much, he obv had a bad day and unable to control his bad mood but rather the managers who don't pay enough attention to such a crucial part of the customer experience. Too bad.

I came here for a quick drink before my birthday meal at another place, the lady who seemed to be the manager was very rude and saw me try and catch her attention multiple times to order a drink and walked past me. I then look through the menu and saw a drink called the Plantation which was made of sugar, lime and rum?? In what world is this appropriate for a drink name? She continued with her very awkward service demeanour, so when the bill came I removed the service charge. The same manager came over and tried to strike up a very forced awkward conversation about if I had already paid the bill and if I want another drink, she then said ARE YOUR OTHER FRIENDS NOT COMING?? we said no thanks we re done here, as we told them not come and experience what we were experiencing.

She then became overly friendly, very different to the awkward rude service she gave us prior. It was made worse that I could clearly see the manager and the bar staff talking about how I removed the service.

Sort it out guys, I am a bar owner and a normal human being you might think that s a cute cocktail name but it s pretty insensitive and awful, you need a new front of house lady and a new menu

This was a lovely spot for a celebratory team dinner. Each dish was very good - and while some dishes were more special than others, the quality of everything was high. The pacing and service were both great. Fabulous wine list with options for everyone.

Some of the best food in London at a cool location - brilliant cocktails, stylish decor and really friendly staff. The kitchen rotates pop ups every few months; so there's always something new to try. The current pop-up, Fodder, serve delicious and innovative modern British 'pub tapas' - the chef's fine dining roots are evident, and original and nostalgic plates with locally foraged ingredients really set them appart in London's pop-up scene.

Highly recommended: try the kimchi bloody mary or the smokey old fashioned (served in a small vial to pour over ice) - they rock!

Lovely place - can't fault the food (which was flavourful), the staff (who were friendly and knowledgeable) or the cocktails (which were quaffable). Slightly off the beaten track, we'd been years ago when it was Goldfinch's. It's quite handy for Southwark Playhouse. Slightly expensive, so may do well if they did a couple of specials, but the half-price cocktail happy hour(s) helped! Will go back!
