Great Escape

Adventure at its best. We were blessed with glorious weather, and we all loved the zipwire and the challenge course. The host family are so lovely and welcoming, and we can't wait to go back!

A fantastic experience - Massive thanks to Mark, Alex, Guy and Tom. Beautiful scenery, stunning location, thrilling zip wire, great challenge course and amazing people. We were all made to feel totally welcome and felt very safe throughout. The kids absolutely loved it all. Would highly recommend for families, school trips or those just looking to do something different in a beautiful place.

The kids arrived and straight away they found themselves unlocked and unplugged, wildly venturing up the steep bank onto the woodland that is immediately in front of the bunkhouse. There were walls to jump off, slopes to roly poly down, bivouacs to build and so much space to enjoy sports and a campfire. The imaginatively engineered adventure challenge defeated me in too many places to mention but just for a while, I felt like Tarzan. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and ensured our weekend was very special. Thank you!

We took 6 children (aged 9-16yrs) and 4 adults also had a go (couldn't give that zippwire a miss! From the very beginning the team were very professional and personable, confirmed our booking and were incredibly helpful on arrival. The zippwire is very very long but you get a great safety feeling with so many carbina checks and the background of the team. All of this added to outstanding views, in a part of the countryside off the grid to most and with nothing but stunning views of forests and fields around a 360degree view. Definitely worth a trip. We love the fact its a family business too - Alex and Mark made everyone feel at home!

Fantastic experience with Mark at The Great Escape Company. My siblings and I made some great attempts at the assault course and we all really enjoyed it. It was a brilliant outdoor activity for the whole family. I would highly recommend this to all as this was great fun and really good value for money.

The great escape is well worth the visit, a fantastic challenge course and gliding down the zip wire you get a great view of the Shropshire hills, this is a great place children s birthdays and getting people outside in the fresh air!

My daughter spent a fab weekend at The great escape . Mark and Alex couldn t have been more welcoming and efficient upon arrival in this beautiful location . The weekend was packed full of fun activities to suit all abilities and the food was delicious . It was her birthday on the Sunday and they made it extra special by singing happy birthday and having birthday cake !! Super super super

Thank you for another great time up on the hill. The boys always return with lots of fun stories about their adventures, this time was no exception, the zipwire was fab and they loved the adventure course too, sleeping out and chatting around the campfire. Great fun with mates outside, and lots of great memories.

Have just had a fantastic weekend at the Great Escape. The challenge course certainly lived up to its name and provided a lot of entertainment for all ages. The black hawk zipline offers incredible views and was a real highlight. Mark and Alex run a very professional operation and were fantastic at providing friendly encouragement and help where needed. With various accommodation options available on site which can be viewed on Great Hagley Estate website, the Great Escape is an ideal holiday for both large and small groups of all ages.

Absolutely loved it. We did the challenge course and zip line. We had a fantastic day. Felt welcome and secure at all times. Amazing value for money. Perfect. Thank you guys.

What a great afternoon for teenage boys with lots of energy. Such a wonderful setting with a squeel inducing Black Hawk Zipline and the (very challenging) Tiger Challenge. Unfortunately they could not add to the select list of those who completed the course without touching the floor. I am sure they will be back to give it another go. This really is a place where children can re-connect with what children should be doing. Enjoying adventures outdoors. Many thanks to Mark and his team.

Had a wonderful day with Mark and his team. As a big family group we were made to feel so welcome in a stunning setting. The zipline was awesome for everyone in our group, from my 69 year old mother to my 7 year old niece. Everyone was made to feel safe and secure and enjoyed the thrill of the ride. The adventure assault course was a big hit with everyone and we will certainly be back. Thank you for a great escape and a great day.

What a fantastic place, just the drive to the Great Escape is an adventure, set in the most idyllic of locations. My son went with a group of school friends and had the most brilliant time, the highlight being the Zip wire. Mark, Alex and the gang were great, would defiantly love to go back. #makingmemories #shropshirecountrtside #funfunfun

Went there with the Prince's Trust and it was beautiful, challenging and rewarding. The cottage is beautiful and the people there are lovely and funny. The chickens were so friendly, they were like cats with feathers! They greeted us nearly everyday. Would definitely recommend this!

Fantastic day out at The Great Escape!! The zipline was exhilarating- yet not so fast that we couldn't take in the gorgeous views of the valley below. Can't wait to go back and give it another go with the amazing staff who make you feel like family. 10/10
