So sad. It's like a war zone.
So sad. It's like a war zone.
The coral is nearly dead and the fish depleted.
Absolutely stunned with the change from when I was last here.
I felt guilty being there and contributing to its demise.

What an experience, Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. This is what travelling is all about! The Reef is a magnificent place to visit. Snorkelling is a must, if you are game, do a diving course and explore the Reef from a different angle. Couldn't believe the different types of fish on the Reef with so many colours and sizes.
It was ok. Don't expect the vibrant colors you usually see with reef photos.
Passions for Paradise made this day one of the best of my life. They even re-certified my sister's 1968 SUBA license. It was a day I will never forget. We saw so many different types of fish, coral, sting rays, giant clams, turtles, colors of coral reefs I thought I would only see on television...but I got to see it for myself. I got to save a shark by using the services of a company that makes conscience choices, as do I. It was a less than 2% chance to have the weather and ocean conditions we experienced... getting to dive inside and outside of the Great Barrier Reef. The wall was amazing, beyond words.
Absolutely stunning, the most incredible site I have ever seen
Waterfront restaurant at the Port Hinchinbrook Marina, Cardwell Queensland.
We're extremely fortunate to have this amazing spectacle of nature, and be able to manage commerce along side. A treasure.
Takes you closer to nature and makes you think twice about your impact on the environment.
The Great Barrier Reef is 2300 kilometres of living coral which is located on the north-east coast of Australia.
It is home to marine life including sea turtles, manta rays, reef sharks and many colourful fish.
It is an Eco-Tourist hotspot. There are many organized tours which depart from cities and towns along the coastline where the Great Barrier Reef is situated. You can go to see the Whitsunday Islands in a seaplane and circle over Heart Reef, a heart shaped coral arrangement. You are then dropped off at a coral lagoon nearby where you can snorkel around the Great Barrier Reef. Getting back on the seaplane you are flown to Whitehaven Beach, a seven kilometre stretch of beach with pure white silica sand.
There are many diving tours available such as diving to see the wreck of the SS Yongala which sits 28 metres below the surface on the sandy ocean floor.
This is considered one of the best dive sites in the world. The ship sank in 1911, it is 110 metres long and it is now a home for sea snakes, turtles, manta rays, sharks and many tropical fish.
A must see adventure, unfortunately for the cyclone damage the reef has to repair itself. But there are an abundance of fish.
Wow so awesome, great experience, loved it so much. Great time well worth a cruise out there. An absolutely incredible place to visit. The best way to see the great barrier is by snorkel or dive.
Went on the learn to dive course through Pro Dives Cairns, would 110% recommend this for the adventurous type of person, or even to just go snorkeling with them. It's an unreal experience provided by excellent hosts
A great day out with dive down under on the evolution. Great entertainment, food and hospitality
Coral, fish, turtles, stingrays, sharks, whales... Just beautiful

Worth coming to see the reefs.
Take the helicopter tour if you can.
Excellent marine life.

Crowded.
Standard of corals vary from reef to reef.
Snorkling was awesome. Big variety of fishes to see under water.
A great visit and enjoyed seeing the rest.and fish.
Well, I never in my long life experienced anything like it, seeing the Reef, Fish, the Crew was fantastic, never thought that could do it, with my age? I did and enjoyed every moment
Being able to swim with sea turtles, surrounded by tropical fish and see whales jumping off Lady Musgrave Island was an unforgettable experience and the highlight of a fantastic trip to Australia.
Wonderful experience... snorkel & snoba diving.. corals reefs
The Down Under crew on the Evolution ship were fantastic!! Took the entroductory course for diving. Great instruction. Went out for 2nd dive. Extra expense but worth it. Josh was fantastic guide!
To dive on such a reef is something wonderful.
You can often find turtles. Amazing experience. Of course, there are often sharks, but also large, friendly Maori wrasse fish, which swim themselves to caress them. Such big pets;)
The price, however, for Polish conditions is quite high for just reaching the reef. But that's where it happens.
Beautiful place, but so fragile. Be careful not stand on it or feed it.
The Great Barrier Reef is truely a wonder of the world. I Flew over the area on a Seaplane and a helicopter. Saw wild Dolphins, turtles and even a whale and her calf. Was lucky enough to have a picnic on the shore and swam around for a while on Whitehaven Beach and then flew back to Hamilton Island. Such a magical location and one I will remember so well. #LetsGuide #whitehaven #GreatBarrierReef #whitsundays #Queensland
Truly exciting. I did not think that in Australia you could have the experience of diving among huge parrotfishes, tridacne, colorful corals ...
What's not to like about this place. The scenery is fabulous and so is the climate.
The beach made of shells and brooms was beautiful.
By the day I went there, it happened that the waves were strong, and it was difficult for the children in the lower elementary school to swim.
Fabulous..a must do! Stay overnight or for a few days on a boat to enjoy to the full. Snorkelling amazing..soo many fish. Seeing the coral standing out of the water when the tide was low ..fascinating.
Watching the sunset.
Too many wonderful things & hard to describe the experience..just do it!
Visiting one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World...what is there not to love. Listening to the marine biologists, who clearly love their job was fantastic. This is a "must do", I am not a swimmer but even I went snorkeling (probably not very well..but that's OK). Semi-submersibles, and glass viewing stations as well as optional ocean walking and helicopter flights over the reef.
So beautiful...I feel privileged.
Great fishing trip. Love the reef .Do everything to protect it on our boat. Bring home all rubbish including smoke buts.
We took the tour from quicksilver. Took big fast catamaran out to their platform in the reef. Included snorkeling, skindiving, helmet walking, semisubmursable sub, and buffet lunch. Helicopter rides for fee also available. They had lessons for all activities and pushed safety. Free suits available to protect from jelly fish. There were several hundred people on the platform, all having a good time.
It's looking rather gray at the places we went to snorkel even though the guides said the reef was expanding. Needed to see it before it was gone.
Amazing best thing iv done. An iv done a few thing .but this is the most amazing so far
A must see area of Queensland. The reefs and water is just beautiful. If your up this way make the effort on getting out there and explore the islands and reefs
To say it is an amazing place to visit in just about the biggest understatement in history. I have been in Northern Queensland now for 4 years. I have been going out to the barrier reef as often as I can. I am a very keen fisherman and spearfishman. I always ensure that I am abiding by the laws in reference to no fish zones and bag limits.
The diversity is fish and animals that you can see out there is awesome. Everything from coral to humpback whales. This is something that we must look after so that future generations can get the chance to enjoy it too.
If you have never experienced it I would definitely reccomend it to anyone to experience.
Snorkeling the reef is absolutely fantastic. Next time we will scuba dive instead. Great day out recommend all to do it.
Magnificent, what an experience!! One for the bucket list!
Great day out here with the boat trip out to reef and return. Sadly the reef deterioration was very noticeable. Looked after well by the crew on board.
Well organized. Everything about the reef can be booked here. Therefore a must. Competent employees.
Agincourt reef
Poseiden cruises
Excellent day
Been several times on several different trips from Airlie beach , never will get sick of going out there snorkeling and sailing , one of the great wonders everyone should visit at least once in their life
It was a great place to snorkel...Unfortunatley they cancelled our activities due to weather (which wasnt that bad. Also, it is difficult to find a good snorkeling area on Green Island.
Great experience saw shark, turtle, giant clam. Lots of fish
