Grande Prairie Golf & Country Club Review

Awesome Staff! Went for a company golf tournament and the entire staff was super friendly and very accommodating, food was good, was a great time overall!

We held our Northern Extreme Freestyle Ski Club fundraiser at the Grande Prairie Golf & Country Club, in Grande Prairie, this past weekend. Scott, Bob and the rest of the team were so amazing to work with. I honestly feel that our night wouldn't have been as successful as it was if it wasn't for the help of Scott and his team. They truly went over and beyond to make sure our night was a success. If you are holding a fundraiser, or any event, I highly recommend this venue.

It's friendly and a great place to enjoy a round of golf

We held our wedding and reception at the golf course and had a great time. Scott and his staff worked hard to provide us a great experience. Food was great and service was great. A class act by all.

A great local course. Challenge for everyone but the most elite. Proshop staff were friendly and there were a few deals to be found, I picked up a past model lob wedge at 50% off.
Tee boxes were a bit chewed up, the greens were in decent shape, and the pace was solid for both rounds. One hole under construction due to pesky neighbors getting tired of being hit by balls in their backyard, but otherwise the entire course was solid.

Small saucer shaped greens make this course a challenge. There is room to hit driver a lot with some generally wide fairways however if desired. The course condition has improved immensely over the last few years with it being "playable" much earlier than in the past. I enjoy playing here but would like to see a beverage cart a little more often than every 6 or 7 holes, especially on warm days.

I recently attended a friends wedding in Calahoo Ab (just outside of Edmonton). Scott and his crew were the caterers. Or shall I say, the fairy god father of that wedding!!!

It was a close friends big day, so my husband and I arrived extra early to do a few last minute touches. Scott was already there, set up and ready to go! He was extraordinary the entire time. He had a hand on every aspect of that day. From set up to take down, drinks to food, even came to see us in the poker room when the photos were happening, and jumped in the photo booth!!!

I legitamately want to host a party JUST so I can hire Scott to come out! 100% worth every dime, and more!!

Great golf course with really friendly staff. The course is challenging but also forgiving enough to make the round enjoyable for lots of skill levels. The turf was in great shape and the greens had good speed to them!

We had our Wedding at the GP Golf and Country Club. I stopped by about 8 months before the wedding, without any appointment and Scott W sat down with me and talked me through how they did weddings there. I was sold right away on all the things he promised - and boy did he deliver!! The venue was gorgeous, the deck was a great place for the ceremony. Scott drove us around in golf carts for our photo's - so much fun! The guests sat on the deck and had drinks and snacks after the ceremony. Then our dinner was AWESOME. Service was fast and friendly.

I cannot rate this place, or Scott, highly enough - our whole day was perfect, and the guests rated it highly as well.

I went for golf lessons. Mike is a great teacher. I throughly enjoyed my lesson. I left not only knowing a few things to change but how what I was doing was affecting my game and how the changes would help.

Even helping cue the bridal parties enterance during the ceremony and keep everyone on the timeline for the night they covered it all and did an amazing job at it.
Many comments from my guests who were thrilled with the quality and abundance of food.
My only regret was wishing I found Scott sooner and had him cover DJing as well
Very reasonably priced for the hard work and quality this team pulls off.

Fairly expensive, also staff aren't very helpful. Got a rain check a year ago that I still haven't cashed in because the service their is so pathetic.

In great shape. The only thing to improve on is to actually put some sand in the sand traps. Impossible to play from there.

A fantastic course. Will definitely recommend 18 holes and a power cart to anyone.

I was part of a wedding party August long weekend. The venue, food, service, etc were all fantastic. Extra kudos to Scott Wasylciw (apologies if I misspelled your name Scott!!) for taking such good care of us all! Thanks to all for adding even more to an already spectacular day!!

Greens are in the best shape they've been in in years.

We had our wedding here and Scott made it happen without a hitch recommend to anyone that want to hold a event.

We had our legal marriage signing at the Golf and Country Club. Scott was amazing. It was super last minute and he made it so special. Would HIGHLY recommend Scott and his team for any celebration. Thank you again Scott for making our day so special!

My favourite golf course in the city of Grande Prairie for an abundance of reasons. First and foremost has been the staff. Always helpful and one of the friendliest group of people I've had the privilege of talking to on any round of golf whether it's in Grande Prairie or not. I've long heard from many people that this place is "stuffy & proper" (if you know what I mean) but that couldn't be any further from the truth.

The course is in great shape this season, best I've seen it in a long time and it plays fun but can be challenging. The Par 4 18th is one of the nicest holes in the Peace with the massive trees running down the sides of the fairway.

Check it out whether you're an avid golfer or beginner! Highly recommended.
