Grand Traverse Pie Company Review

Yummy. Perfect place for breakfast or lunch with the kids.

Great pies but I usually go for the quiches. Very tasty without breaking the bank.

Who doesn't like pie? Freshly made sandwiches? Great coffee?

When we walked in Sadie, the cashier told us how tired she was and how she was ready to go home. Then as she wiped off tables while we ate she was talking loudly on her phone and we knew her plans for the rest of the week. She was very unprofessional. She had not tried any of the quiche so she had no idea how to direct us on our order.
Our quiche had been under a warmer for a while and was not that great. Over half the tables were dirty and so were the floors. The pie was served cold, so not very good.
The only reason I gave 2 stars was the price was good and we got our food quick. How hard is it to serve food from under a warmer and cold pie though.
Not sure how this place gets such good ratings. We will not go back.

Eat there every day for breakfast. They have great sandwiches, to die for egg sandwiches where the yolk can run down your arm.

My sister went to work on tuesday the Company she works for sent their local office a pie from grand traverse pie comp.and i must say i will never ever buy a pie from any one else this is the best apple pie. I Ever ate too bad i had to share ..but OMG i will be Ordering holiday pies from here on.thanku for the vest pie ever.

Excellent food. The peach strawberry pie is amazing!

The pie is delicious, the space is comfortable, and the staff are friendly.

Great pie and their birthday club is awesome. They tend to be busy most times of the day.

Perfect place to pick up boxed lunches and dessert for a drive to the dunes.

Fantastic pies, cherry crumble is my favorite. They come in a single that is perfect for 2. They serve a food menu also, sandwiches.

We went here because my husband loves pie and breakfast sandwiches. Both were incredibly good. I'm not really a big pie person but this cherry pie was REALLY good. And the egg and cheese sandwich on baguette was incredible. The pesto mayonnaise really made it.

Decent enough if you go for lunch. Breakfast is a joke for the price and quantity size.

Cinnamon bun with cream cheese frosting is the bomb! Loved it. Also got the chicken salad sandwich which was good, but there were probably about 3 cherries in there...so the sign is a little misleading in saying there are dried cherries in the sandwich. Staff forgot about half of my order and when I asked for the other food, they were confused and seemed to have forgotten about it entirely.

Everything is like super good except for how the tables feel/ look like they are never cleaned which worries me about what happens in the back? I love GT pie company so please please do this so I can enjoy your service fully

Many are cake people, I however, am a pie guy. This is my candy store as an adult. Every pie I tasted I loved. We brought many home to enjoy later. If I am in the area again this will be a must go.

This place was visited for lunch. Very impressed with the lunch selection as well as the assortment of pies. You will not be disappointed with this selection. Bon Apatite

Went in for breakfast and it was very nice place. The people were very nice and the food was delicious. I highly recommend, great experience. Best pie and quiche I can remember having!!!

It was great. The worst part is having to decide which flavor of pie to take home.....ABC, Peach/Strawberry, Triple Berry, Apple.........decisions, decisions.

Pie is out of this world amazing. That said, don't go to a pie store and expect good lunch fare. We got grilled cheeses and they were okay, nothing special. But the pie...swoon!!!

We had the chicken and beef tacos, just delicious and the chicken/beef/veggie tamales, good, but spicy.

Can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Only Maurice Salad in town and the salad dressing is made just like Hudson's use to make. Yummy

I stop in whenever I come to Traverse City. Excellent food, pleasant ambiance, fast service, and low prices. What more could you want?

One of the best pies in the country. The sandwiches are good as well. I would recommend this place to anyone who hasn t tried it. You have to try their pie if you haven t before. Parking does tend to fill up as this is downtown so keep that in mind. But worth the hassle.

Nom nom nom... That's all I can really say. Actually no it's not! The food is fantastic. Love getting lunch here and I would do so if I worked and or lived closer. The pies are fantastic too. Only downfall is be prepared to wait. However the wait is always worth it. Become a piedough club member too. Get rewards and get yummy mini pies. Again... Worth it!

Love going there best pies ..only thing that bothers me is there is a lady that works there (i think she is a manager or asst manager ) she never smiles and never greets people or conects with them ..so sad ..and this was before Covid ..and we have been coming there long time ..

The pies, coffee, and food is delicious! The breakfast sandwich was kind of boring and not much to it for the price, but it was tasty. The pies are pricey, but awesome!!! I don t usually like pie, but I LOVE these ones! Definitely worth the cost. This location has a great area to relax and enjoy food/coffee with friends.

Great food. Friendly employees. My daughter insisted on going there for lunch the next day. Get the Havarti Ham sandwich.

Chicken pot pie and apple crumble were wonderful. The Italian wedding soup was not to my taste, but think that was probably just me.

Best pie in Traverse City. Lots of choices here. You can get a whole lot of other items to chow not just pie.

Very disappointed by the fact that they had No pasties as advertised. Drove 40 miles to pick up some of that great northern Michigan food

One of our go tos when in town visiting. LOVE the apple pie. Highly recommend Moomers cinnamon ice cream to top it off with. But you can't go wrong with anything you order.

I wanted to come here because Food Network said the Grand Traverse Cherry Crumb was a "religious experience". I was not disappointed.

Amazingly Delicious Pies. Almost always pick up a few of these during the holidays or a special occasion. If you're visiting TC it's definitely a must stop. They have Great Dessert pies and great chicken pot pies for meals. Perfect if you're going to eat there or take out.

Very good local place for food and pie. Nice atmosphere and priced well. Definitely a visit when visiting traverse city. Can be really busy at lunchtime because it is in a good location with easy access from many different businesses. The have the best local pie you can find and you can eat it there or take it on the go. Buy it by the slice or the whole pie. Good place for individuals, couples, and families.

Grand Traverse had a variety of deserts: Pies, cookies, brownies and etc. They also sale soup & sandwiches, which you can dine in.

The food is amazing here! It's like other bakery/cafes but better!

This place was delicious and the smell is to die for!!!

Gotta try the chicken pot pie and the Michigan ABC crumb pie.
