One of the old hotels in Jakarta. The condition is not as good as I saw 10 years ago. However they provide spacious ballroom for meeting or workshop. The food is delicious.

It is typically Sahid management, exquisite entrance lobby but plain old school rooms. Nevertheless the hotel was build around 70's and they do not upgraded the theme.

Very spacious, artistic, decorated with some nice paintings, mostly about wayang kulit.

If Javanese like me, it would be really fun to be in a hotel like Sahid Jaya, the architecture and interior are really cool. Carvings, teak wood, Javanese prodo, large ballroom, corner of ornament, pillars, all Javanese style. Outside there are reliefs of stone color carvings which are also nice, long, large, and detailed.

The hotel is old, but still very tight. Don't stay overnight, just go to the ballroom. Big. Transjakarta ride is easy. Next to it is Starbucks, the in case kl is hungry and I want to pay a heavy drink at the hotel. The rooms are old style but clean.

The restaurant is spacious and nice, breakfast while enjoying the view and the morning sun, is really something bingit ...

If we have to recommend a room to sleep in Grand Sahid Jaya it is undoubtedly a grand executive suite room. It s a fantastic room with living room and great comfy bathtub.

MASSAGE
90 minutes of traditional massage at Bersih Sehat. It was fantastic!

DINNER
Andrawina Restaurant. We ordered Veloute Aux Champignon, Baked Salmon Fillet, and Crispy Mixed Berries Pie. Yum!

A lazy sunday with Breakfast in bed.

Bengawan Solo Restaurant is perfect to enjoy its traditional interior and we ordered Sosis Solo, Martabak Padang, Sop Buntut Balado, and Dadar Gulung ala Dumpling with Vanilla Ice Cream. Yummy!

Stay 2 days here following a seminar at this hotel. The room is okay. Happy with the Javanese atmosphere because of the architecture and the uniforms of some of the staff.

Old hotel, not renovated. Dull and ancient atmosphere is very thick. In some corners of the room there is a fresh aroma. Parking space is less spacious, there is no basement. The interior atmosphere is very Javanese culture (two thumbs up). There are gamelan sets and lots of puppet figures painting adorn the interior walls.

the rooms are not good, the towels stink, the response to house keeping is slow, but the handling of goods left behind is good, the response is fast

In its heyday, I am sure this hotel is one of the best.
I stayed 2 nights on the 8th floor (I forgot what room). The elevator tends to be old, and only 4 people have already been filled with a "full loaded" warning alarm.

Arriving at the room, I found a full room carpet, 2 beds and typical sahid ornaments, which in my opinion is fairly old fashion. View the Sudirman road, with frosted glass because it is rarely cleaned.
The bathroom has no exhaust, the large makeup glass is also a bit blurry and stained. there is a bathtub with hot water. it's typical old fashion.

I suffer because it often smells of cigarettes, especially in my bathroom. added because there was no exhaust and when taking a hot shower, my room was full of steam plus a stinging cigarette smell.

because of the activities and many guests, the elevator that operates only 4, of course makes mobility disrupted. Moreover, there was an incident when our friend was trapped in the elevator for about 15 minutes.

For food, it feels pretty good. varied and typical of Indonesia. hygienically, I myself did not get a bad experience, even though I heard a magical story at lunch on Friday.

Cameto this hotel for a "Table Manner" from Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Jakarta. My Almamater.. Great places to rest and eat some food from asian to europe.

I stay there for 3 days. This hotel look very Old, with old carpet in the room, many cracked on wallpaper, window, door, table, chair, etc. Also slow responding at check in counter, small parking area, some elevator are not working, and standart breakfast menu.
