Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel Review

Beautiful hotel with good amenities. Helpful staff. Downside is pool does not get much sun in the late noon to evening (if you wanna sunbath) but if you are trying to escape the sun- ideal!

After a flight love this hotel room very comfortable the shuttle bus service always excellent. The executive floor is a great experience with a nice view. The swimming pool lounges very comfortable and the pool great.

Surprisingly good shops here. Unfortunately, most open 11-1130am and close 830, or so.

Spent one night in Singapore. Busy hotel close to the airport. Good on time free shuttle bus from all terminals. Friendly staff at check in. Rooms are spacious however, the beds are very firm. Breakfast buffet is good with large selection. Can get very busy on the weekends. Recommend if you need a hotel close to the airport.

Nice hotel and near to the shopping place like Marine Parade. Near to Katong as well. Swimming pool also good and food/breakfast very delicious. has shuttle bus to airport and MRT station.

Good place to have for peranakan buffet dinner. Special thing is durian dessert and Crab. All items refilled two or more times. It is full of people even if weekday. But not much varieties foods. There is no limited time.

Rooms: Modern but classic and very spacious.
Team: Fantastic. Concierge, Receptionist, restaurant staff and manager all did an excellent job at hosting us.
Breakfast: Many different flavours to choose from and in great quality.
Location: Several malls nearby. Fast access to city center as well as airport.

The hotel offers shuttles to the airport as well as the city centre. The shuttle was quiet helpful to us to get back to the airport without having to worry about spending too much on cabs.

The breakfast buffet here was excellent and was something we enjoyed the most.

There are a slew of small restaurants few minutes walk and a mall just opposite the building as well.

The only thing that bugged me was there is no MRT nearby so you have to rely on busses which would be ok if we had not needed to change busses here and there to get to a spot in the city.

Hotel room is spacious and cosy.
Location is very convenient and easy access to shopping mall and supermarket which within 5 minutes walking.
The hotel staffs (front desk and Chinese restaurant) are friendly and helpful.
I will come again for a staycation or birthday celebration again.

We had arranged an early check-in and were effectively and speedily serviced. The room was in good condition and close to the lifts. Everything was most satisfactory.

We had minimal interaction with the staff largely because everything in the room was as it should be. It was clean and had everything we needed.

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel.Although the room I had on the 8th floor was quite dark,it was clean and spacious.
The breakfast buffet was also very good.
Aside from the free shuttle,they provide a cell phone which one can use for local calls.
There are plenty of shops and restaurants around the area and it was easy to take a taxi or Grab from the hotel.

Very disappointed this Mercure is aging at the level of the room and the general decor. The breakfast is not great ...

The room is big and cozy. It has a great view from our room and they are beautiful. Breakfast is good and the spread has a wide range of variety.

This is the first time I stay at Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy though it is not the first time been to Singapore. I choose this hotel because there is a free shuttle bus service to and from the airport. Therefore I do not need to weave through the crowds at MRT stations. However, I need to wait for over 30 minutes for the bus at the airport as the bus had just departed around 10 minutes ago. Also the platform I was told to wait the bus was not correct.
When I did the check-in at the lobby, I was told to be upgraded to a junior suite. It was a great surprise for me. The room was spacious and comfortable though the design was a bit old. The view was good as I could have a clear view over the neighbourhood. Also, I could have a nice view during sun rise period.
I have got 2 plates of welcome fruit as they served by different department of the hotel. I was not sure if it was a normal practice of this hotel. Most of the fruit was nice except the kiwi fruit. It was too raw and sour.
Staff was nice and friendly. Smiles could be seen on the faces. I like the Executive Lounge. It is cozy and not noisy. When I used the lounge at the second time, the staff recognized me and can called my surname. The food at the lounge was delicious with good quality. Once I wanted to have a breakfast at the restaurant on the 3/F. However, it was quite noisy and crowded. I headed back to the Executive Lounge with no doubt.
The fitness centre was awesome and quite big. Various equipment could be used. The bar next to the fitness centre was also great. It was comfortable when I sat at the poolside. I could enjoy some breeze with a drink before I left for the airport.

Pleasant experience right from the point of reservation. Prompt replies on emails and calls, got complimentary extra bed for my child which was immediately set up on my check in. Recognized that I was a returning guest and Welcomed me back. And I appreciate the complimentary upgrade.

Great location near lots of eateries and shopping malls. At the heart of Katong which is a heritage location rich in Peranakan culture. Currently there is tons of construction ongoing for the new subway station which definitely is a plus for this hotel in the future.

The staff are amazing. We were welcomed like old friends by Eddie in the Breeze bar. The staff are warm, friendly and highly efficient - from front desk and concierge to room service. Nothing is too much trouble. Hotel is ideally located and facilities in hotel excellent.

Has a free shuttle to airport which is a big plus point. Every room also comes with mobile phones that we can carry around as a map. Awesome service and clean hotel

Pros: The hotel is very well connected to public transportation system with MRT and bus stops just 100mts away. Good eateries are right across the road. There is also a mall very nearby to suffice all your shopping needs.

Cons: This isn't a very upscale place. The rooms are just about fine and the staff isn't very courteous. I had the buffet breakfast. But it doesn't have variety and taste.

Owsem very biutifull Hotel, clean environment friendly staffs and lots more come to Roxy and see to yourself. I give 10 star to the hospitality to all staffs and hardworking charter bus drivers .

This is a very good 4 star hotel for family. The room is spacious, food is good and we enjoyed our stay there. It is near shopping mall and new MRT station soon!

I stayed during Christmas. The buffet dinner was incrediblely good. Kudos to the chefs. The complementary breakfast could be much better. The hotel rooms are good - quite spacious and clean. There is a nice (small) swimming pool and pool bar. Sadly, the roar of the nearby construction works made it horrible. If not for the construction works nearby, my stay there will be rated 5 stars.

Great hotel, very helpful staff, wonderful breakfast

It was a pleasant stay. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The food though I think can be better. We ordered Nasi Goreng and to say that it was bland would be an understatement. We had it at other places too and it was so flavoursome so we know it can taste much better!

Room is very comfortable. Gym and pool is clean and has a relaxing ambience.

We stayed here on our last night in Singapore for 1 night as it was close to the airport and we had an early morning flight the next day. It was a convenient location being next to a big shopping centre and getting food was very easy. We received complimentary drinks as part of our stay being accor members, check in was smooth, received connecting rooms as requested. Husband enjoyed pool facilities. Was a short stay and we weren't able to experience dining options or anything else, but hotel suited our purpose of being close to airport. Hotel also provides free shuttle bus to airport which is handy but our flight was so early so we could not use that facility.

The restaurant called Feast of the East has very good selection spread of nonya buffet. The durian dessert is really delicious.

We had a nice break just spending a day at the hotel. We enjoyed the proximity to Parkway Parade that gave us many options for dining and shopping. In the evening, we also went to the beach for cycling..... really pleasant and enjoyable.

From arrival at the hotel to checkout i found the staff provided exceptional service to my family and I. Every member of staff was pleasant and went above and beyond my expectations.

Our stay was only for a night as we were flying out the next day. The complimentary bed for my 11 year old child was very much appreciated as well as the additional 2 hours late check out as we only got to the hotel in the early hours of the morning. We also used the free shuttle to and from the airport.
