Grand Hotel Oude Burg Brugge Review

Room very adequate, although the curtain in our room allowed a lot of direct light in the morning. The spa is perfect!

Brilliant location. Honestly the most luxurious hotel I ever stayed in. There is free steam bath and sauna , which feels super relaxing. Clean and nicely decorated rooms , equipped with every essential. The only problem was parking (they have limited parking,please reserve a parking spot beforehand). Breakfast was good . Will definitely come back :D

Amazing hotel, right in the centre of town, celebrated my birthday whilst at the hotel, got upgraded to an executive room. Breakfast is very good, hotel's interior is lovely. The spa is ok but if you are looking for a jacuzzi or a pool this is not available. Perfect location since Bruges is a very small town, pedestrian friendly in every way. Boat ride is a must, a great way of seeing the whole town, passing under all the cute small bridges on the canal.

Fantastic hotel. My husband and I booked a room here last minute when we decided to come to Brugge. The room size is huge, the beds are so comfy, the bathroom is clean, and the building is so cool! They have an awesome bar, too.

Can't fault it. Beautiful hotel, friendly, professional staff and great location. We spent a little more to stay here than we usually would but it was worth every penny.

The location of the hotel is ideal, and the hotel is charming. But he clearly does not deserve 4 *! The service is really bad and one wonders if one of the employees has already been trained in Hotel Catering because the quality of service is really deplorable and really not worthy of a 4 * hotel. The cleanliness of the room was to be desired, and the bedding is really bad!
If you are looking for a hotel with real service, flee this hotel!

Amazing service. I was very unwell and the staff kindly provided me with everything I needed during my stay. After I had checked out two of the staff helped set me up on a couch with a damp cool flannel and ice to keep me comfortable until my train. The bathrooms are beautiful. And the breakfast was delicious.

Great experience. Stayed back in December and left my card in the room. They managed to get the card over to me in Berlin within 2 days of leaving it. Great effort from the staff, would recommend to anyone!

Nice hotel in the city center. The room was good and clean with a great bed. Extra amenities were available (ie. bathrobe, slippers, iron, etc) but had to be asked for at reception and for some you have to pay a security deposit. I would have liked to have it at the room but didn't want to go back down for it.
Staff was friendly.
Breakfast was good. The breakfast area was very noisy.
There is parking at the hotel (25,-/day) and two public parking garages close by (alfa park - 500m - 14,-/24 hrs)

WOW! What amazing hotel with superb rooms and a great atmosphere. We stayed on an offer which treated us to a glass of fizzy which we took advantage of in the very classy bar and lounge area. Breakfast was superb with a wide range on offer for all dietary preferences. Will certainly be staying here again on a visit to Brugge.

We were so incredibly disappointed in this hotel. We booked 3 nights here for a romantic and relaxing Christmas. We called a few weeks prior to our arrival to schedule spa treatments and were told to wait until check-in. When we arrived at the hotel we attempted to book spa treatments, but they were completely booked. We then tried to have a quiet dinner at the "hotel's restaurant" but that wasn't possible because the restaurant is in another hotel and was completely booked out for the next four days (lunch and dinner). We booked this hotel for its amenities that were very falsely advertised. The room was average and the location was very good, but overall I do not believe we got the quality of services we were hoping for from a hotel at this price point.

Completely enjoyed this hotel which is located close to the main square in Bruges. Comfortable, quiet and luxurious room. We appreciated the high level of service both at the front desk and at the lovely breakfast. The kind of place that you are sad to leave.

Hotel very well located and quiet (if the room overlooks the inner courtyard anyway).
New and spacious room. The reception staff are nice but have no information about the city and its festivities (even on National Day). And small pettiness to note: parking at an unreasonable price, no slippers, a pod of coffee per person per day, a box of empty tissues not replaced, etc.

Just returned home after a 3 night stay and we can t praise this hotel enough. The hotel is in a central position close to the Market square, the quality of the room was exceptional and the staff were helpful and friendly, can t wait to return.

Great hotel just off the main central square. Excellent cocktails and good quality buffet breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay in Brugge and the hotel made it even more special. Would definately return.

Luxe hotel op een hele goede locatie! Het is wel behoorlijk prijzig en we werden onpersoonlijk ontvangen. Het inchecken verliep rommelig omdat we geholpen werden door een trainee. Het hotel is niet gedateerd en heeft een gezellige lobby. Voor diegenen die het kunnen betalen is het zeker de moeite waard.

Hoewel we al betaald hadden via onze boekingssite moesten we wel 50 euro aan depositokosten betalen. Omdat we dat niet op zak hadden werden we het hotel uitgestuurd om dit maar even te gaan pinnen. Persoonlijk vind ik dit behoorlijk onbeschoft en niet klantvriendelijk. Zo werd ons niet aangeboden om alvast de koffers op de kamer te zetten. We moesten dus met koffers 400 meter heen en terug naar de pinautomaat lopen, een slecht begin van een weekend weg.

Stayed there on 28th December for 2 nights. The hotel is beautiful, full of character & spotless clean. Breakfast was great, rooms spacious. Couldn t fault this hotel on anything

Cons - Lack of electrical plugs, very small shower, no facial cloth. Pros - nice lounge for sitting and good location for sight seeing.

I can't remember ever being so well looked after in a hotel. The staff were amazing, especially Fleur who was very knowledgeable about Bruges and it's attractions. The hotel bar was fantastic and breakfast was very good. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant which maybe common with hotels right in the centre of Brugges due to the proximity of so many great eateries. This would be my only minor criticism.... other than that the Grand Hotel is just that.

Nice experience.
Upon our arrival we notice the staff smiling and available. The architecture, decoration and cleanliness of the lobby puts us immediately in a distinguished and soothing atmosphere. We had a canal view room on the 4th floor, bedding is comfortable and the bathroom functional. The decor is a little rococo but has charm. The breakfast buffet is rather complete, there is something for everyone. We had a wonderful weekend of Pentecost.

Super well located hotel. Beautifully authentic bar and salon that you can even visit even if you are not staying there. No noise pollution despite the fact that it is so central. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff. Private parking is charged and your car goes down via a lift Quality room is classic, between basic and top, Nespresso in the room, bath and shower, in short price / quality certainly correct.

Excellent spot to stay on Bruges. A nice walk from the main station, 15 minutes or so but better than a taxi. Everything in the town is walking distance so you'll find this location suitable. The breakfast was enjoyable, a nice selection.

Absolutely beautiful hotel in a stunning town with brilliantly friendly and helpful staff. I stayed here on a surprise birthday trip and will definitely come back. Their wellness centre is a great place to relax and take a break from the spectacular town vistas and strong beers. You can't beat the location either. Perfect hotel

The class in the pure state. Refined but not overly, this hotel although chic will not have the disadvantage of putting you uncomfortable with misplaced snobbery, not at all. Be comfortable and enjoy its central location and its decoration worthy of palaces. Breakfast very appreciated. Tips: the basement, sauna, arches and arcades will make you forget the coldness of winter.
