Good hotel, located close to tourist streets.

Good hotel, located close to tourist streets.
The bedding is pleasant, moreover we spent a pleasant night.
The breakfast is also well supplied, and of quality.
Regarding the main negative point for us, was the cost of parking in addition to 25 euros ....
For a couple who stay a week, that comes to 175 euros more ...

Great location with very friendly and helpful staff help make this hotel a fantastic place to stay. We were surprised with a room upgrade and the room was very grand and spacious with a huge bathtub. Would definitely return if in Bruges.

Hotel very "classy" consistent with the historical spirit of Bruges - large room with air conditioning, large bed, beautiful bathroom and shower with Occitan beauty products! Is located in a relatively busy street so a little noise ...

1- Location :

1- Location :
Nice location, it is really good and located in the village center that has most of the historical attractions as this hotel is considered one of them. (10 points).

2- Staff:
Respectful and friendly staff , especially Ms. Flare (night supervise) who helped us change our far room as we had lots of luggages. She also suggested some really great restaurants and attractions for us (10 points).

3- Cleanliness & Quietness:
The room and bathroom are sparkly clean. The room and hallways are quiet (10 points).

4- Room Size & View :
The size of the rooms depends on the type of the room you have selected. For the regular ones are very small; however, the executive rooms are spacious and have a wide bathroom along with a bathtop. The view of the room was not that much (8 points).

5- Amenities:
When you approach the hotel at the beginning, you would have an impression that this is an ancient place, where you can find a quite number of old painted wall pictures of famous characters are hanged on as well as the lobby has a fireplace. There is also a bar located in the lobby for those who care about drinks/chatting along with comfortable classic armchairs. Furthermore, the hotel has a very small gym; however, you can't find the most basic machines and even dumbbells. (7 points).

6- Price:
The price of this hotel is very high, but it's worth staying (7 points).

7- Service Level:
It is really good in overall as they provided the room with a Tissue, Towels, and bathropes. The only thing we have not satisfied with is the bed as they were 2 seperate beds rather than a King/Queen Size one (9 points).

Overall, (8.7 points).

This hotel is in a perfect position within walking distance to everything around Bruges - including some fantastic restaurants (Parkrestanrant is a good start). The bar is fantastic and a lovely place to sit. The front desk staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was so clean and tidy with wonderful bathroom and mezzanine floor (for 4 people). Really enjoyed the stay and couldn't fault any part of the hotel.

Historic & modern elegance!

Historic & modern elegance!

Location: Right by the Groenerei canal, this elegant hotel is built on 3 historic houses. 4 minute walk from Markt square and 20-25 minute car ride Bruges train station.

Rooms: Cozy, comfortable, clean rooms!

Food: Breakfast is absolutely delicious with a wide selection of choices! Definitely brings a smile and comfort in the morning to start the day!

Key Takeaway: Highly recommend this hotel mixture of historic and modern elegance! Its also in a more quiet part of Brugge for those that enjoy the serenity.

Stayed September 2016, travelled with family.

This hotel is very beautiful on arrival. The surroundings in the public areas are indeed Grand. The rooms very attractive, comfortable and clean with plenty of space. The lounge bar is particularly comfortable and quiet to relax in . The hotel is a stones throw from the market Square in the centre of Bruges. We have no complaints whatsoever and would recommend a stay here.

Spectacular hotel The building is an old Royal Palace of England.
The spaces are very spacious and luxurious. The decoration is what you might find in a palace. The rooms are large and very comfortable. It sleeps great in the large kingsize bed.
All hotel lamps are of the crystal chandelier type.
A hotel with the charm of a palace.
Highly recommended!

My husband and I spent three nights here in May, and we assure you that this hotel is worth every penny. The location absolutely cannot be beat, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff were exceedingly welcoming and professional, and the buffet breakfast offerings were varied and delicious. Furthermore, the large, spectacularly appointed reading rooms on the ground floor were fabulous places to rest your feet over coffee, cocktails, or tea at the end of or even in the middle of a long day of sightseeing. The hotel is so close to everything you d want to see, you don t feel like you re squandering time by taking a break there midday. A two minute walk brings you right back to the Markt/Belfry area, or to any of the other charming areas you d want to meander through. It s practically next door to the Basilica of the Holy Blood. My husband and I would gladly stay here again, and strongly recommend it to other travelers.

A fantastic hotel with great staff, an incredible building and very impressive, clean rooms. It is ideally located in the heart of Bruges, next to all the main tourist attractions while still being far away to get a quiet night's sleep!

Yes it is a little pricey but the history is rather incredible. There is parking but you most reserve ahead of time and it s one of those car elevators which is always fun to use. You will turn in your car key to the staff so they can move your car if necessary in the garage. The room we had was quiet and large. Bed was comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water. Perfect location for exploring Brugge on foot, even if it s a rainy day.

The hotel is beautiful, you live there like in a castle, especially the bar is unique. The location could not be better, the beds are wonderful and despite the central location it is nice and quiet. The hotel is an experience, but there are also drawbacks: The entrance to the hotel car park requires the highest art of driving, the gate closes so fast that one only with a successful attempt to create the right-angled curve, come in, otherwise threatens adversity. The staff is without any helpfulness, as the staff consistently friendly and sovereign at such a hotel may occur, especially the breakfast staff spread unpleasant rush, on the other hand, the room service is very friendly and quality-conscious. The breakfast is average good, would be upgradeable.

This was wonderful hotel and in a good location for main attractions. Rooms was good with great service.
My only suggestion would be to let them know in advance if you are a vegetarian for breakfast else you may have little choice to eat. When my wife notified once we knew they made good custom veg breakfast which was very nice of them.

Stayed here 3 nights. Smart and very comfortable hotel. Room was large and well appointed. Large buffet breakfast choice but no restaurant. Lounge and bar relaxed and sumptuous. Very central, handy for shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. Great value.

Is in the middle of the city. Right at the highlights. For everyone who can afford it a great starting point to explore the city. A very nice, noble building. Breakfast is international and plentiful (highly recommended). From here you can always explore the city on foot. If you have got your car in the underground garage (with a car lift) you are also glad not to have to do this every day.

I loved the atmosphere, people are smiley, all the staff talks English, they have a gym, sauna and steam baths free for the guests, and you can take an appointment for massages that aren't really expensive (from 35 to 65 euros). For breakfast we had everything anyone could wanna eat - salty and sugary. They have nice bar, with nice, normal price drinks. Even the mini bar is not expensive, as you may expect from a place like this one. Rooms are nice, beds are comfortable (actually, I would have loved if my bed was a bit harder, but that's only my taste). All in all, I warmly recommend. P. S. The thing that surprised me was the coffee and tea machine in the room. I didn't expect that.

Really lovely hotel with large clean room and lovely bathroom. Nice quality toiletries too.
The hotel bar is staffed by a fantastic barman named Luis, who is knowledgeable, very friendly and makes delicious cocktails. I recommend the house Negroni.
We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Bruges.

I was very pleased with Grand Hotel Casselbergh, in Bruges. Never having been to Bruges, I did not know what to expect and was hoping that the location was good, as I read online. The location wasn't good, it was PERFECT. Just a short walk to the square with the Town Hall building, and then a couple more minutes to the main square by the Belfort. It was such a great location that after buying lots of chocolate and souvenirs, we could easily stop by the hotel to drop things off or to take a quick break before venturing back out to explore. The beds were comfortable, and the linens and pillows were great. The in-room espresso was especially appreciated, and when we ran out, I called the front desk around 6am and they quickly brought me more. The spa is downstairs and is in a really cool underground sort of place, with a sauna and steam bath (which is a steam room). This was so nice after a long day of walking the cobblestone streets in the cold (we went between Christmas and New Year's Eve). The staff were friendly and spoke English. There was a little bar on the main floor but we didn't have the chance to use it. There was a mini bar in the room which was stocked with water, sparkling water, juice and liquor. The view from the Canal View room was awesome. No, you aren't looking straight at the water. But the view of the beautiful buildings was spectacular. It is a historical building, with and old part and a new part, and both are really beautiful. The bathroom had a tub and separate rainfall shower. Everything was very clean and high quality. And to reiterate, the location is perfect. Close to restaurants, too. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in Bruges!
