Historic hotel in the central area. You can breathe the intoxicating air of the fashion quadrilateral. Rooms very nice and clean with plenty of space. Price aligned to the category.
Beautiful, historic but well-appointed rooms with excellent service. Decor is opulent but not overdone. Good location, walking distance from the Duomo. Some restaurant/delivery noise could be heard in the morning as we were on the second floor, but that is to be expected in a large building. We didn't complain, though I have a feeling if we had it would have been swiftly and discreetly resolved.

Highlights: For those of us who love to stay in a historic building, this grand hotel is a gem. The lobby with the beautiful fireplace salon, the Gerry's bar with its many fine drinks and the particularly friendly staff are just some of the features of the Grand Hotel. The house is close to many attractions (Scala, cathedral, fashion district, etc.). The rooms are nostalgically furnished, but by no means old-fashioned or dusty. Lowlights: I have not found any yet. Conclusion: highly recommended!

This historic 5-star hotel has a friendly and helpful staff. Verdi s hometown is here. I stayed here for 2 nights a year ago and traveled with my friends in this city. Unfortunately, my friend didn't come. Living here feels like at home. The room is very spacious and the bathroom is a gorgeous hotel bathroom. The hotel is close to the high-end brand shopping center, taking a leisurely stroll in the city and buying a travel guide near the center is a must-have for travel in this city!
I love this place. Many artists, actors, famous names have passed here. 19th century atmosphere in one of the most famous luxury hotels in Milan. I attended a wedding reception and was able to appreciate the quality of the service, the beauty of the location and the courtesy of the staff. It was easy to reach the Grand Hotel as it is a stone's throw from the Teatro alla Scala.

Notable historical city hotel. Very nice cuisine in the restaurant, good breakfast. Clean and interesting decorating rooms with service twice a day and written briefing for weather forecast at afternoon service. A sunny patio for afternoon coffee room with the possibility of winter watching city life on the street. We liked the kind staff who were ready to serve the time. We recommend it !!!!
I am currently staying in the hotel with my wife and have been since April the 18th. The air conditioning in our room has not been working (only blowing out warm air) since check-in, which makes the room unbearable to stay in because of the unusually high temperature. We have contacted the lobby several times, they have assured us the air conditioning will be fixed in no time, this was 3 days ago.
For 870 Euros a night (excluding breakfast), the hotel is no where worth it, or worth the '5 stars' it has. Regardless, we are checking out tomorrow (April 22) and have asked the staff for an extra couple of hours after check-out, to which their response was "You must pay a fee".

The hotel is the oldest in Milan central, and is beautifully decorated in a classic but chic style. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated, and the staff courteous and cannot do enough to help.
The Don Carlo restaurant is intimate with delicious food and an excellent choice of wines.

Was there for only 1 night but everything was perfect. Staff were very friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. Room was spotless clean, food at the lobby bar was delicious, although pricey, as you would expect. Usually an older crowd who stays at the hotel. Very convenient location to Milan's shopping area and Duomo and brera design neighborhood. Overall great!

The hotel where Giuseppe Verdi stayed for 21 years and finished his life has a history and feels very elegant and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are beautiful. The key is a traditional type that you can leave in the lobby when you go out. The location is good and GALLERIA, the cathedral and the La Scala are within walking distance.

Excellent Hotel in the center of Milan !!! I did not know and had not seen photos before I stayed !!!! Amazing experience from the moment we were greeted at the entrance after getting off the taxi !!!! First surprise: we were greeted by two door receptionist and baggage handler many restroom !!! Second surprise: well attended by two very friendly receptionists and one of them accompanied us to the door of the room !!! The third surprise: a whole classic structure, charming, pleasant, beautiful look, large rooms, comfortable bathroom !!! Fair prices for quality !! The impeccable service !!! At the turn of the year 2018/2019, we were surprised in the room, with the courtesy of a panettone and a bottle of champagne !!! Worth every Euro paid !!! Of all the hotels up to the present, it was the most charming thing to me. I would stay 1000 times !!!!

The location is fantastic, rooms are immaculate and rich with history. The staff are welcoming and nothing is too much. Breakfast is varied and excellent quality. Recommend a drink in the bar and a meal at the main restaurant.

I love this hotel! Design and atmosphere send you to the times of Verdi and the location just few meters from La Scala will give deep satisfaction to the theatre connoisseurs. Lobby bar worth mentioning. After the performance in La Scala you can continue your evening in the cozy bar, with the soft light and polite barman.
If you arrived to Milano for shopping you will be happy to find one amazing Cocinelle shop just in front of the hotel! I bought at least 6 bags)
Excellent in everything from clean and well furnished rooms with every comfort to breakfast among the best ever seen, to the professionalism and friendliness of the ever-present staff. Furthermore the location is very central and next to the hotel there is the yellow metro with the Montenapoleone stop (two stops from Milano Centrale). Extraordinary experience

It doesn't happen very often, at least to me, to attend such an exclusive "location". Thanks to a company dinner I was able to admire one of the most beautiful and luxurious hotels I have ever seen.
Everything is taken care of with the utmost care: the premises, the furnishings that recall the glory of the Teatro Alla Scala, the extreme kindness of the staff.

Rating not for the rooms. Refined and elegant place. We have been for an event with reinforced aperitif, in the norm. Comfortable dining room and room staff available. A bit too impetuous at the end, in the dismantling of the hall. We had to move constantly.

The hotel is very nice of old historical hotels, but still very strong. It is distinguished by the fact that in the city center and directly next to a subway station, the street where the hotel is located is a shopping street with lots of shops to shop in Milan's great streets. Of the hotel or that the hotel its tenants do not know explicitly, but one day 50 euros for parking.
