I enjoy walking downtown and seeing the Beautiful decorated shop Windows specially at holiday times. It seems a little extravagant to have heated sidewalks and streets which we the taxpayers pay for. But for a walkable waterfront downtown you cannot beat Grand Haven. Most of the shops are a little overpriced for me but there are still some quiet ones that we like to frequent. And we're Brewpub aficionados too.
I could have give this little town and it s shops five solid stars, If it wasn t for the dead beat punk kids hanging around leaving their bikes laying in the middle of the sidewalk.
On This particular day one loser kid came out No where, total blind spot at Blueberry Haven / jumping Java, nearly hitting my 10 y/o daughter. That area is a public area for eating and it s populated with do nothing punk kids.
If the city won t move them out. I highly recommend visiting other areas or spending time in another city.
