I enjoy walking downtown and seeing the Beautiful decorated shop Windows specially at holiday times. It seems a little extravagant to have heated sidewalks and streets which we the taxpayers pay for. But for a walkable waterfront downtown you cannot beat Grand Haven. Most of the shops are a little overpriced for me but there are still some quiet ones that we like to frequent. And we're Brewpub aficionados too.
