We had a HORRIBLE experience with not-Grand Classroom. They flew our 7th-grade children into a storm in Dallas for a layover that never should have been part of the trip. They actually took our group from South Florida west right into a storm that was predicted more than 24 hours in advance all over the internet and news, including cnn, Fox News, etc!

As a result, the kids landed and were stranded for OVER 12 HOURS. The company should have known that there were storm and tornado warnings for a full day before departure.

In Dallas, all flights were cancelled and the kids were stranded with zero communication with
parents. It was bedlam.
We were told there were no hotels available, yet we found plenty when we started looking ourselves.

Ultimately, the airline provided a hotel.

The children never made their enriching trip. Instead, they spent the entire next day at a mall.

It was only when the school stepped in that we received notifications. The company was cavalier and tried to blame it on the weather. The fact is, they should not have flown our kids into a dangerous storm that was predicted and they should have booked flights that were nonstop instead of a layover in Dallas for a Tennessee destination.
Ultimately, it seemed all about money. They were scrimping and getting the cheapest deals they could find while charging us $1700 for Wednesday - Friday trip to Knoxville, Tenn.

There is NOTHING grand about Grand Classroom. If I could give this company negative stars, I would. I have never dealt with such an incompetent business in my life. Our school hired them to take our kids on a 3 day field trip. The first red flags were the travel flights they picked. Instead of booking a flight from FLL to KNX on a 2 hr non-stop flight, they put them on a 7 hr flight with a layover in DAL. They were to have 1 day of activities in the Smokey Mountains and then they were to get on a 4 1/2 hr bus ride to Atlanta to fly home! How does that make sense when there is a direct flight and we had to put down $1700, 6 months prior? Well, exactly what we were worried about came true. The flight on their layover in DAL was canceled and they ended up getting stuck there, never to make it to Tennessee. What's worse, this company left our kids stranded at the airport for 16 hours!!!!!!! They did NOTHING to help in getting them to a hotel. Had no contingency plan in place, and left our Principal to figure it out on her own. They didn't feed them, our kids ended up being up for 23 straight hours and there was ZERO communication from them. When I spoke to the owner, who did nothing to help, his wife giggled in the background thinking it was funny that this was happening. A DISGUSTING display of the owner of this business. Word of advice: NEVER allow your child on a trip booked by this horrid company. And, please encourage your school to pick another travel company if they don't want to be left high and dry to figure out everything on their own.

This company deserves zero stars. I have already reported them to the attorney general and better business bureau in Virginia. They flew my child to Dallas in the middle of a storm on the most ridiculous itinerary where he got stranded. Then they refused to take care of him, even though he landed at 11 am, he did not get to go to a hotel until 3 am. They don’t care about children and their well-being- only making money. They are incompetent. Do not let your child travel with them ever.

Horrible! They flew our kids in the opposite direction of where they were headed into a storm that had been predicted for 24 hours with tornadoes and flash floods. The kids were stuck at the airport for 12 hours did not arrive at a hotel until 3 AM. No communication with parents. They took our money in November and literally gave us an insane itinerary days before we flew out in April stating there were no direct flight. We flew from Fort Lauderdale to Dallas to get to Tennessee. Really there are no direct flight?? How about flying through Atlanta then? Read the terms. They cover their butts for everything under the sun and make a point to purchase the most inconvenient ridiculous flights so
They can make more money. This company has gone down the tubes and they do not care about the kids. Do not use them!!

Grand Classroom exceeded my expectations! I had such an amazing time on their trip. The guides were enthusiastic and knowledgeable, making the whole experience engaging and educational. The accommodations were comfortable and the itinerary was well-balanced. I can't wait to go on another trip with Grand Classroom! 😄✈️🌎
