Audio is mushy sounding. Venue attracts far too many scene kids that seem more interested in drinking and chatting than actually enjoying the music that others paid to see. Totally get the appeal of that, but it's not for me.

Edit: 1 star added because I appreciate owner responses and 3 stars *was* kinda harsh, thanks for causing me to reconsider this. :)
Again, not my kind of venue, but I think Granada is achieving what they're going for...

Granada Theatre is the classic anchor on the Greenville side of town. The marquee is so bright and nostalgic that it is truly a landmark worth visiting. I've seen so many rock shows here that I can't even count. It has a surprisingly roomy interior, with bars inside the levels and standing room down at the front. The employees are friendly and people visiting tend to have a good time and be friendly as well. Head next door after the show for a drink at the rooftop bar.

Acoustics are TERRIBLE!

Acoustics are TERRIBLE!

Took my mom and dad to see Swan Song knowing full well they are a great, spot on, Led Zeppelin tribute band that I've heard in other venues. They are amazing and I wanted to share that experience with them at what I've been told is a great historic place for concerts.

The opener, The Doors Hotel, was worse than an 8th grade garage band. "The Southwest's Premier Doors Tribute Band"? How? They seemed more preoccupied with their half-cocked stage antics than good music. Lemme help you out: Dynamics; I learned it in 7th grade band.

Additionally, the Board Op, in his trendy Fedora appeared under constant duress and it sounded like it; took him 4-5 unlistenable Doors songs to make it bearable and he still couldn't get it right. Apparently, it's all about that bass and overdriven high frequency too. A move to the lobby bar made the menagerie of noise less painful. Did they not do a sound check or are the concrete walls and compete lack of any acoustic paneling just too much to overcome?

Hoping things would improve with a change to a band I knew had chops from previous experiences (Swan Song) and seeing the multitude of people confront the clueless Board Op was short lived. The music was unlistenable; too much bass and too much overdriven high frequency. And, it was overly obvious the Board Op was tweaking it Up/Down/Up/Down like Daniel-san throughout a song!!

I will not return to this venue until the acoustics are fixed and a better Board Op is found.

This is an old staple of Greenville. It's old and that shows but you don't notice it because the throwback feel just brings you in.

Great for events, restaurant attached and one of the most fun place to be on Greenville at night. I would recommend this place for your next event or just for a selfie.

Concert was great and the inside of the venue is unique with tiered standing room and interesting murals. The parking is a pain as you must park many streets away due the popularity of the area.

Really enjoyed this venue. Think it was my first time there, too. Got to see IAMX, and the band was AMAZING and full of energy throughout the entire show! They rocked out the house and everyone was having an amazing time, from what I could tell, and the energy of the patrons was great, too! Didn't cone across anyone that was rude at all. Venue is quaint but with a decent amount of room for many people, and a bar in back. Definitely willing to go back for another show, as the Granada was kept clean and nice throughout, even the restrooms were clean and nice! Got a few good shots of the show, too!

such an awesome venue!! they have great organization and get you in the door efficiently, the standing room is graduated so you can actually see even if you're not in the very front row, and it is a beautiful room otherwise. Granada also has free movies every Wednesday on the roof!

The Granada Theater is great for concerts, I have never had an unpleasant experience when attending a concert here. The restrooms are clean, the staff is nice, and the sound is great. The only problem I ever have is that everyone is taller than me and I can't see lol

One of the absolute best places to watch a concert in DFW. The acoustics, drinks and overall aesthetic is truly superb. With stadium like descent there is hardly a bad view in the whole area including those who are vertically challenged. Make sure to always see a show here if you re interested in it, even slightly

fun

I love how small this theater is. It feels like a personal concert even though there was quiet a bit of people. I could tell that it wasn't even a full concert and the employees seemed very nice.

This is a cool venue. Went to a concert to see Cat Power (awesome, btw) and you can see the stage well from almost anywhere. There's also a balcony they open when there's enough people. We don't drink, but there's a few bar areas. It's pretty dressed down, nothing fancy and minimal. The reason for the three stars... there is NO seating at all. That I don't get. We got there early to get a good spot, so with the show, it's almost four hours of standing. That's just wrong to me. I would rent a chair! I'm early 50s, but even if you're young, this is a lot of time to stand around. For that one reason, I'm not sure I would visit again.

I have to give this place a 5 since I attended a movie here back in 1958 when the theater was called The Arcadia. I was a junior in high school and a member of the National Honor Society from Buckner High School.
All of us in the NHS were treated to a movie here, and I still remember the grandness of the theater way back when. If it is anything close to what it use to be, it still has to be a great experience.

I love this place. I've gone to many a concerts to way back in the day when RHPS was there!
Being handicap, I wish there was a place to sit, but that's why I got a Walker with a seat now, right!

One if not the best music/entertainment venue in Dallas.. Love the charm of the building... I've been going to concerts there since I was a teen..
I typically stay away from buying mixed drinks here.. they have been disappointing for a while..

Classy place with gorgeous bathrooms!!! Eat before you go or you can eat at other restaurants or the gas station on the corner. I recommend bbq chips and a cheese/jerky combo at the gas station.

Although the venue is really cool, the sound is hit or miss, and that's the most important thing, in my book. Saw Dinosaur Jr., tonight, and while Jay's guitar was off the hook, his vocals were almost impossible to distinguish. Disappointing to say the least.

Cozy venue with friendly, helpful staff. Easy parking behind the venue. Sometimes a bit odd seating arrangement, but you can see great from anywhere. Those upstairs bathrooms could use a little updating, but the friendly, smiling staff make up for any shortcomings.
