My G-daughter attends Goshen, and she's also on the women's basketball team.
Culture for service is the motto or was when I went there...indeed Goshen College has a culture of it's own developed by the international outreach that the Mennonites have, this developed its own culture and it is a warm place with excellent education and committed professors and staff all who espouse the mission statement of their church and school. I enjoyed my time there and made life-long friends, I graduated in 1995.
Planning on coming here next August. The people are great and the counselors are so helpful. The campus is also very beautiful with lots of dedicated green space and it's also right next to many nature trails and the downtown. The best thing is that even though it is a Christian college, they are very open minded about people of other beliefs. And how can I forget about the amazing facilities? Especially the Sauder Concert Hall. Truly wonderful!
Great college to visit and just see how amazing it truly is. The scholarships programs are extremely good and the teachers are super friendly. Definitely a college to consider attending for your career.
Great place to develop as a human being and college student. The skills I learned while studying in the Communications Department have prepared me well for my career.
Goshen College has a progressive, tight knit Christian community that can be hard to understand from the outside. I just graduated and can attest to the quality of education, lived-out faith of my peers and professors, and campus atmosphere that encourages critical thinking. As a physics major, I got to know my professors on a first name basis, had internship opportunities every summer, and even spent a semester abroad in Morocco. Beyond imparting technical knowledge, Goshen encourages you to live prophetically and intentionally in a complex world. Highly recommended.
Amazing school. Fantastic three years of education, and since graduating I've always been realizing new ways it blessed me.
Goshen College is a must visit if you are deciding where to spend the next 4 years of your college career. Have you ever been to a summer camp, you know, one of those camps where you meet the best friends you have ever had and they stick with you for the rest of your life while helping give you the best experiences you have ever had. If so, that is how I would describe Goshen College, it is the perfect bundle of incredible education with teachers who really care about you, mixed with the most down-to-earth student body you will ever meet. The mennonite community is one like you will never experience and has a great energy due to its young liberal culture. You will also gain one of THE BEST experiences in a lifetime when you are given the ability to go explore the globe on Goshen's signature study abroad program SST. This will feel like a home away from home before you reach your 2nd week of involvement.
