If you are not within walking distance, you've got a problem. There is no place to park. The back of store parking lot has been fenced off and is for certain businesses only. Not Goodwill. I tried to park and was followed by a tow truck who threatened to tow me! I reported him to Eastern Bank [I am an EB customer]. The one public lot is almost always filled. I used to shop here every week and have not been able to visit in about 3 months. [update: recently found a parking spot and went in. the store is at present time TRASHED. there has to be a new manager as it never ever looked as disheveled as it does now. i hope this is a temporary situation]

Store is a bit small but they pack a lot into it. Staff is friendly and everything is well cleaned and organized at a good price. Would recommend going if you need to pick up some new clothes or possibly a new movie/game for kids as they do have a rack for discs.

Was able to shop for two hours and park right outside. Grabbed a bite to eat nearby afterwards. Neighborhood is extremely friendly and the selection is great! Lots of cotton and linen for the summer. One of the best I've been to.

I usually love the South Boston Goodwill. Just wasted 20 minutes shopping only to be told the dressing room closed at 6:30. I was 10 minutes too late. I told the gentleman he should have made an announcement when the dressing room was closing but he didn't care.

About Goodwill

Goodwill is a non-profit organization that has been helping individuals with barriers to self-sufficiency for over 100 years. Their mission is to provide job training, employment placement services, and other community-based programs for people who face challenges in finding and keeping jobs.

What sets Goodwill apart from other organizations is their focus on providing opportunities for individuals to achieve independence and dignity through work. They believe that everyone deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances.

One of the key ways that Goodwill achieves this mission is through their job training programs. These programs are designed to help individuals develop the skills they need to succeed in today's competitive job market. Whether it's learning how to use computer software or mastering customer service skills, Goodwill provides hands-on training that prepares people for real-world employment opportunities.

In addition to job training, Goodwill also offers employment placement services. This means that they work with local businesses and organizations to connect qualified candidates with open positions. By partnering with employers in the community, Goodwill helps create new opportunities for people who might otherwise struggle to find work.

But perhaps what makes Goodwill truly unique is their commitment to sustainability. They operate more than 3,300 stores across North America where they sell donated goods such as clothing, furniture, and household items at affordable prices. The revenue generated from these sales goes directly back into funding their programs and services.

Not only does this model help support the organization financially, but it also has a positive impact on the environment by reducing waste through recycling and repurposing items that might otherwise end up in landfills.

Overall, Goodwill's approach is not about charity but rather providing individuals with a chance at self-sufficiency through meaningful work opportunities. Their dedication towards creating sustainable solutions while empowering communities makes them an exceptional organization worth supporting.
