They falsely accused me of a crime that I did not commit based on lies told to the police. I went to the Gonzalez Group from the beginning. I remember when I started my search for lawyers and I remember that they answered my questions with great confidence, which gave me peace and faith that I could hire and trust these lawyers. They accompanied me to talk to the police and they did not abandon me. They fought for my innocence and believed in me from the beginning. I was quite impressed that they investigated the case thoroughly and found out things that surprised me. They never lost faith in me and every time we went to court they told me not to worry and fought against prosecutors and judges in a strong and forceful way. I felt supported by them and I realized that my case was taken as if it were personal. They fought to prove that I am innocent. There were difficult times but they told me that it was not impossible to win. They gave me words of encouragement when things were not going well and they told me not to worry and that my case was in the hands of the best lawyers in Houston. In the trial they did not surrender even though everything was against them. Kevin Acevedo is not afraid of judges and is well respected. The jury that evaluated my case agreed with him. We won. I thank God for the team, Kevin, Sara, Maria, Rick, Samantha, Denise and the others who accompanied me every day. If I could put more than 5 stars, I would! I recommend them!

At first I felt really good about hiring this law firm. Then it felt like nothing was getting done. However, once Julie took over my case, everything started to go smoothly. They talked and Marco advised us to come in and talk about making a case against the driver who hit me. He handed the case to Kevin Acevedo and he took over from there. Kevin worked very hard to get me the best settlement to help pay the medical bills and for my pain and suffering. I don t know where I d be without all their help. If I could, I would give this law firm 0/5 stars. Their service was horrible. I came in with an asylum case for a detained individual. They said they would help this person prepare for her credible fear interview. They made me pay a lot of money to send an attorney to Laredo. That attorney met with the individual for less than half an hour, brought documents with the name of another client, and was overall unhelpful. I paid almost $1K for that visit. Every time I tried to contact this law firm, they were either busy, or the attorney handling my case would be hesitant to answer me. I let them know that their job was to prepare this individual for her CFI. However, they said that it was my job to practice with her. I voiced my displeasure at this because I am no expert on these interviews, but they still said that I had to come up with questions to prepare her. They basically blamed me for not having this individual prepared for her interview.
They dazzled me with their website, saying that if any questions I had I could just go ahead and ask it there. However, when I did they didn't answer. I go in person so they could actually answer my question. Their website is pretty much useless because they barely even use it.
This person was released on her own personal recognizance, but she never had the CFI. However, this law firm still charged me as if they did anything on the case. They never filed anything, they never represented her, they barely even talked to her. However, I was still charged as if they did any work. Lastly, the attorney in charge's demeanor was very condescending towards the individual and me.
I still receive calls from this law firm asking whether the individual had her CFI or not. This is going on even though I told them (1) the CFI never happened, and (2) I did not want to retain them. I get bombarded with their calls and voicemails every week and it honestly is getting annoying.
For the amount of money this law firm charges and their overall reputation, it is surprising that they have such incompetent attorneys. Maybe my experience was a one off, or maybe they found a way to make easy money out of my case. Whatever the case is, I will never recommend this law firm to anyone. You have been warned.
