Goldstrike Casino Review

This is only my second time at a casino but I would say this was one of my better experiences. Everything was very well kept and tidy. I'm always a bit timid to go into places such as this but the employees there were so nice and made me feel at ease. I registered for my rewards card, won some free play and proceeded into the actually gambling area. Everyone is about the slots but I like the virtual card games at the bar. As long as you play you get free drinks so having the bar that close is super convenient. I stuck around that area playing blackjack most of the time but I ventured around the entire area for a while. Everything was very clean, tidy and even though you could smoke inside, there was no real smoke smell. I would recommend this casino to any first time gambler.

Great place to stay, eat and have fun for a quick get away.

Room was great and the hotel staff was very friendly. Room service was a plus and also very quick with our services.

They just taking ya money just sad. That why west Memphis getting all the business.

Sent my parents here for their 52nd Anniversary. They drove 365 miles just to have someone go in their room to steal my father s wallet. They claim they don t have a camera in the hallway of the hotel and the police treated them better than the staff of the casino. Thanks for ruining their Anniversary

Usually busy, play good music. Hadn't had much luck here.

The hotel was nice but disappointed to have no fridge in our room and the view was bad. The gambling wasn't that great in the casino either. We had a child with us not that many channels for her to watch.

Clean rooms, fairly clean casino floor, to be honest though...a sub-par concert experience.

Solid casino with a variety of machines and tables. During most times of the day the ventilation system is adequate, though it can get overburdened on Fridays and Saturdays. Food here is decent and cheap but service at the food venues is horrible. Pickles in particular is extremely poorly managed. I would say most individual servers try but they are put into impossible situations by horrible management.

Nice rooms for low rollers.. Good table games they also offer $5 blackjack with 3:2 payout on bj. Buffet has plenty of options nice bang for your buck

Nice room's jus don't have a refrigerator in the room!

I had a great time. The place was pretty and drink service was fast/consistent. The staff made me feel comfortable and kept some control over the loud drunk patrons. Didnt hurt that I left a winner!

Casinos for Christmas? Yep! Goldstrike was nice. With it being Christmas it wasn't very busy or crowded! That's one downfall to Goldstrike! The slot floor is super small for the amount of machines they have so on a non-covid day it's usually elbows to elbows, but not today! You could actually see halfway across the casino! They had a hand washing station in the middle of the floor too! That was nice. I hadn't seen one in the others, but maybe I didn't go far enough into the other casinos to see one? Also I didn't like the fact that you had to go to the cashier's cage to handle anything to do with your players card and they only had 2 women working at n there. Not to mention they didn't even clean or sanitize between guests! Very disappointing! So bump up your game! Because if the employees aren't going to set the example of following Health Safety Guidelines then they will have a hard time enforcing the players to do their part! And of course the slots didn't hit like the other casinos we went to. Lost more money at Goldstrike than any casino here, and they were the only ones we didn't get any kind of freeplay or comps from! Greedy a$$ez! Lol, it's Christmas, come on!

The cigarette smoke was to a minimum, but entertainment outside of gambling is pretty much non-existent

Great Concert venue and very nice food and staff had a blast.

The staff was amazing, the food was awesome and we had a blast.

We stayed for one night and had asked for 2 no smoking rooms, but the one on the 6th floor was reeking of cigarette smoke...we checked in at 1 in the morning and they said our rooms were not cleaned yet so they gave us 2 suites, which were beautiful!... but the smell....
I won a small jackpot so I'm happy!

Nice atmosphere, the rooms are nice, the beds comfortable. The gambling is pretty tight though.

Just left there today and spent 2 nights! Glad to see this casino has a let it ride table as that s my favorite game!! Only gave 4 stars because of the dealer last night his name is Lee. He was unresponsive when asked a question and seemed to really dislike his job. The other dealers where great tho, but really not cool, if I m going to lose my money I would at least like to have a little fun doing so!! Other than that the 2 day stay was great and I m sure I ll be back again! Thank you Gold strike!

First time in awhile, I enjoyed the remodeled buffet.

I hate the place they closed the pool is only for 18 and olders that is frogged up i am 15 and i am on the swim team i practice swimming 24/7 if this place dont take down the 18 year older rule they will lose all business

Comp rooms for gamblers. Great buffet. A great steakhouse. Great Sundrie store if you forgot anything. Very nice. Consistant.

It was a great stay and the staff was awesome and always there to help when needed. The casino was good and I didn't do bad.

Had a awesome time great clean rooms i must say cool staff would go back if I was a gambler all I can say had blast aww yea drinks on point too

The rooms are not the cleanest. The food in the buffet is so-so.

First time visit Monday, 3 November 2014 to the casino and buffet (but not the hotel facilities). Great time. Huge selection of slots, penny slots, VP machines (and table games but we don't play those). Smoke free gambling on second floor with a good selection of slots, penny slots, and VP machines. (First floor is fairly smokey). Friendly and helpful employees. Buffet Americana is OUTSTANDING and is the best buffet of the many we have visited over the years. It was remodeled in May 2014 and we were told by a manager that the Gold Strike has brought in chefs from Las Vegas, Chicago, and Atlanta. A tremendous selection of hot dishes, a carving table, salad bar, soups, with pasta to order and desserts. All (non-alcoholic) drinks are self serve. An amazing variety of foods to choose from in a well laid out, roomy serving line as well as comfortable seating.

If you're a young, attractive woman, I would not recommend going here. My friends and I had a horrible experience when we were here to celebrate my friend's 24th birthday.

After getting ready -- we all wanted to look good, since it was a special occasion -- one of our friends wasn't allowed on the casino floor because of what she was wearing... My friend has a career in fashion design. There wasn't anything wrong with what she was wearing. We talked to three members of their staff, and when we asked which part of her outfit violated their dress code, none of them gave the same answer, just that she needed to change before she was allowed on the floor. There isn't any kind of dress code posted in their lobby or on their website.

In the end, my friend put an oversized jacket over her outfit, took the jacket off once we got past security, and was complimented all night on how great she looked.

I still have no idea what security found so offensive about her outfit. The uniforms that they force their waitresses to wear were far more revealing than anything we were wearing.

So, yeah. This whole episode tainted what was supposed to be a fun night out with my friends. I won't be going here again. I will tell all of my friends not to go here. Young, attractive women who take pride in their appearance clearly aren't welcomed.

And here's my message to certain members of the Gold Strike staff: It's so sad that the only way you can feel powerful is to shame women for their own bodies. We'll go somewhere we're appreciated.

Live band was awesome and played a wide variety of music.

It was alright ...just a little tight if you ask me ....
