This is easily the best barbecue in the entire world.

Love their sauce and fries. Bbq is okay but I love he sauce and fries. Most people don't like the fries but I do when it's dipped in the sauce

The problem with this place is it's a 5 hour drive from where I live. Best BBQ joint ever. My dream is to live on a raft built of the smoke sausage on a river of original sauce and have it rain beans.

As someone from STL, my expectations were high but I was terribly disappointed. Place was filthy, bugs crawling on the ceiling, dirty tables and food all over the floor. Meat was good, but the sauces provided are weird and not tasty in the slightest(how can you be a bbq place with terrible sauce). The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional, one worker almost started a fight with a customer because he didn t move down the line because the process of ordering was confusing. The worst part is my girlfriend and I minutes after leaving felt sick to our stomachs. Our whole day of visiting KC was ruined from such a terrible experience here, that we left to go home cause of our sickness

To be completely honest, the BBQ ribs here were okay, but not as good as others have made it out to be. While the building has that old-time feel, the slab was bland and the sauces weren't that great. Their sandwiches they serve look much better than the ribs. If you are looking for ribs, either Jack's Stack or Q39 are much better, in my opinion.

Quick, funny, clean, affordable, convenient, with just a splash of pain!!

If you leave this place hungry it is your own fault!

Simply the best, and has been for the 40 years I have been eating there.
If you are a vegan, have coronary artery disease, like strolling violinists, favor cryogenic desserts and truffle foams, you are a damned fool for going here.

Great food! Lady at register was rude as hell though. But the barbecue makes up for it I guess...

Out of over dozen BBQ restaurants I've been in Kansas City, it is the first and only all black restaurant so it's probably the best for that reason. In my opinion, its average and even had some better BBQ in the area. I even asked a couple black customers and both says LC is much better than ArthurB. Location is in a questionable area where windows have metal bars. Restaurant is aged well but I have to give credit that they kept the tables clear. I do wish they clean up the refilled ketchup and sauces. They were refilled all the way to the top but the nozzles were dirty so I didn't try their sauce. I and another customer pointed out to me that the heavy guy who cut the meat is sweaty that drops in the cutting board and when he talks, some saliva goes out with it. I wish he would wipe his sweat and put cover in his mouth. The BBQ ribs was dry but flavor is good. Given that, I still want to try this over-rated BBQ pork ribs and you should too just to say you tried it. That was enough and I won't go back again.

BBQ and the setting at this place is excellent. Food was super flavorful. Looking forward to coming back with my friends. The prices are well within reason for the quality.

On the Mt. Rushmore of BBQ places in my opinion. The brisket and ribs are excellent, but skip the burnt ends. Their original BBQ sauce is the best of any place I've ever eaten however it is somewhat polarizing. Some people dislike it and some people love it.

Hadn't been to Arthur Bryant's in years due to the location being 30 mins away. Was starting to think other area BBQ places had caught up. I was wrong. Now while the restaurant may not have the best decor, the meat was incredibly tender and wow what a great place. Still the King of Kansas City Area BBQ!

It's better than advertised. I didn't like the original sauce but they have a thicker sauce for people like me. Great atmosphere, great food, loved that I could see them preparing my food.

I love Arthur Bryant's and it remains my favorite BBQ in KC. The dive atmosphere is intentional and the way it has been for GENERATIONS. The service is what it is ... this is a restaurant you go to just to get piles of great food on your plate.

I visited the Brooklyn Avenue store. Had been driving all day and skipped lunch in anticipation. Ordered a short end of ribs, baked beans, cole slaw, and a Pepsi.

Ribs were good, not great. Baked beans were very good. Cole slaw was soupy. Finishing dinner, I asked for a refill. I was told that it's the same price as the drink.

I told the lady I understood, dropped the cup in the can and walked out.

$2.25 is gracious plenty for a 24 ounce cup of soda. But for one without a refill, it's ludicrous. And if you're going to charge those prices for ribs, then you'd either better make your mark in quality or quantity. For me, the ribs did neither. Again, they weren't bad, they simply did not merit the asking price. Will not return as a customer.

The food was good but they ran out of brisket and the check out person seemed to have a bad attitude.

Had burnt ends sandwich. Meat was chewy. Flavor was good though.

First time in Kansas City and was told I had to try Arthur Bryant's before I left. The food was amazing. The barbecue ribs are so tender, and skin on the back of the rib has an amazing snap when you bite into it. Great portions, very reasonably priced. The bathroom has narrow entry, old building, very outdated, not in great shape, but I feel like that adds to its charm. It got crowded quick, and they had great Blues music playing.

All I need to say is SMOKED TURKEY!!! and don't forget the sauce....but you don't need it.

One of the originals and it lives up to its storied history. The sausage is really good and sliced deli style which makes it unique.

I love to eat and it's a Thorobred Mile n a half with all of the Bbq Establishments, well deserved and thanks.

Food is excellent proportions have been reduced, still worth it.

This was my 1st time here, and me, myself personally wasn't really all that excited. The portions are huge, however I can say I tried it.

This is absolute, classic old school BBQ joint, lots of history. Will be back, cannot go wrong here.

Roaches, mice, food falls on floor and still gets served, employees eating all over the kitchen, not washing hands, I don't think any of them have food handlers permits or liquor license. And managers are of no help. Disgusting, unprofessional, under the table type establishment.

Waited an hour in line with my family "expected". The person I gave my order to was very rude "also expected ". They were out of everything I wanted to order, ribs and burnt ends. We ordered our meal to go because there was no available seating, although there was a room full of empty tables and chairs we couldn't use? We ordered a sandwich, 1lb or pulled pork, 1lb or brisket 2 sides and a t shirt to go. We returned to the hotel for the final KC feast of our trip. We opened the bag and found 1 sandwich, 1lb of pulled pork "mostly sauce and some meat chunks that tasted like spaghetti O's sauce", French fries we didn't order, no sides we ordered and a t shirt in the wrong size. First and last time ever for Author Bryant's.

I really didnt like this place at all. Staff wasn't the best and the food wasnt good at all to me. I'd chose gates over it anyday

Love Arthur Bryant's and took a group of friends for lunch who had not been before. A couple ordered ribs same as me. They smelled delicious but were overcooked, dry, crunchy and barely had any meat once the crunchy part was peeled back. No I didn't complain. This is not the first time, but I thought it was an evening thing due to sitting all day and drying out. Now I know. Apparently it is intentional. Each to his own. Doesn't appeal to me. I'll order other items from now on because I do love Arthur Bryant's.

THE most excellent brisket and smoked turkey, just not a fan of the fries. Get the onion rings!

Nice local joint for barbecue. The burnt ends were in a sauce over bread. The potato casserole was good but nothing to write home about. I would eat here again but not sure I'd make a special trip to come here if I wasn't in the area.

Terribly, terribly overrated. Do yourself a favor and visit Oklahoma Joe's.

Famous bbq restaurant in KC. Except long lines that move fast. Can eat in. Plenty of parking.

Ribs were great. Prices were good. Service a bit gruff. Interior a bit dated.

The customer service was ok but the food was amazing.

Their barbeque sauces are a rich masterful blend of flavors. Each one has a unique and wonder like quality to them. You can taste the different blend of spices as well as the items used for the sauce it's self

I hate this place so much. They have cursed me. I went there expecting good food but didn t quite expect to have the best food ever. Now nothing I eat is satisfying. I m cursed I tell ya. Now I m counting down the days that I can go back to KC and dwell in the barbecue heavens that is Arthur Bryant s.

Great original KC BBQ. The building is a bit of a dive but the food more than makes up for the appearance. Employees are helpful and courteous.

Very disappointed with the baby back ribs and 1/2 chicken we ordered. The fries and onion rings were oily and tasted stale. We had high hopes but were disappointed.

Maybe the worst BBQ I have ever had. Ordered the burnt ends and they were like rubber. Service is below average. Had to wait almost 10 minutes at counter while cashier took a phone order. Many other places in KC - this would not be on my list to visit again. Ribs were average.

Long wait even though there was only 8 customers in there (not including my group of 3). Food was cold/luke warm. Sauce was just okay. Food was pricey and some of it was just bad. Worst ribs in kansas. Pulled pork which is supposed to be one of the easier meats was pretty much made in a crock pot. Oh and your bun? No sorry we only have wonder bread... All for a 10 dollar sandwich.

They catered a party and it was on point food delicious and sides great everyone raved of how food it was

I didn't go for the beans. I ate brisket and plenty of it. They've obviously been doing this for a while. The brisket was tender but sliced well. It had cooked to where the meat is breaking down but not falling apart. The meat was not dry or stringy on the least. They also make a good sauce, nearly as good as mine. The sides were great and I love the Chiefs decor, but go for the brisket.

Arthur Bryants was amazing tonight as it always is.. We go here every Monday for date night!!!

The best. Hands down. K.C. bbQ at it's finest. Best service, the best grub wrapped in paper. Been eating here for year's
