My favorite BBQ place in KC. Fun place to take friends who have never been. What else can I say. It s a Kansas City landmark. Try to miss peak times. Can get a long line during lunch 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The original sauce is my favorite.

The atmosphere wasn't very clean and the service was poor. They were over-priced and they pre-sauce some of the meats. The quality of the meat s okay but the sauces weren't that great. I wish I would have tried a different barbecue place in Kansas City..

I stopped at Arthur Bryant's this year and last on my way to Colorado. My friend and I look forward to stopping the entire drive from St. Louis. Burnt Tips and Fries was the special this last time, I uploaded a delicious looking picture with a LARGE soda with ICE and a few pickles on the side and the sauces lined up. Great food, service is historic, meaning most suburbanites will be let down because they are not the center of attention. The pit masters are as seasoned as the meat and do their jobs to perfection.

Portions are huge and food is nasty and sloppy but you re paying for two meats no side no drink almost $50 for their attitudes are outrageous and that will be the only reason why I will not be returning due to the staffs attitude for people More

As a competition BBQ cook myself, you tend to be hard on the mass amount cooks. For a restaurant that is hard to judge scale of sales, this place knocks it out of the park. Old school, original Q. Do not leave KC without trying it.

I think I may have enjoyed the food if the service guys weren't so rude. It was my first time there and I will never return. I ordered something and when I got to the counter the gentleman, who by the way don't take my order, argued with me about what I ordered. Then yelled at the lady behind me when she asked for her beans. He tried to tell her she didn't order any.

Got two racks of ribs. Both were a bit tough... the rub/sauce was completely caked on the ribs (was about a 1:1 ratio of rib-sauce) which made the cayenne rub they use completely overwhelm any flavors the ribs could of possessed.

Will probably come back to just to actually taste the "legendary" meat they completely hide by the lathering of rub/sauce... maybe I just caught a bad cook/day.

Will never get ribs here again though. Highly recommend you get sauce/rub on side.

Burnt ends are AWESOME!! The sandwichs are HUGE!!! Probably 3/4 to almost a pound of meat!! They give you 4 slices of white bread. Order at the window, take and pay. Great value. Super history. Plenty of parking.

Obviously very historical and authentic, but not my favorite barbecue stop in KC. The sauce is quite a bit different than other restaurants in the area. Seems to be one of those situations where you either love it or hate it. Unfortunately I can t say I fall into the I love it camp. Despite not being my favorite food, it still makes for a very unique experience and the portions are outstanding. Could be worth a shot for the experience alone.

Went there today and was disappointed they dont serve in the famous paper wrap they now give you skimpy servings in a box we ordered a combo with fries Turkey and beef there was only 3 pieces of turkey 15 fries 7 pieces of beef 6 pickles. Now anyone that has been there knows you get enough food to feed 2 to 3 people in a combo/w fries
