I've stayed at the Golden Nugget now for 5 years. We go multiple times a year. Everytime is a fun time and always greeted by friendly staff. Their buffet is amazing! A must try for sure and the price way reasonable with servers that have been there for 20+ years and so friendly. I love my visits and conversations. Their Cadillac bar is also a must. Yummy Mexican food, great prices and their drinks. Holy moly...the best! Try their blended ginger Patron for a taste of heaven. The pool and shark tank in a beautiful setting along with relaxing and fun and with that you have Fremont street right their too. You never have to leave for fun. The rooms are always clean and very nice. I seriously love everything about the nugget. With that it's all affordable and everything within your reach. Try it of you haven't. You definitely wont regret it!

Start with my wife while we're checking out the Fremont Street Experience. Played a few slots had a few drinks. It's a nice Casino, But we moved along very shortly because we were just sort of bouncing between casinos on Fremont

The Nugget is a DT gem! Robert the bartender is the best! Been going there to see Robert and swim for 10 years in a row! The water slide that goes through the TANK, is so much fun. I always go down about 10 times!

We had an exceptional experience during our stay at the Golden Nugget. I would highly recommend a suit on one of the private floors of the Rush Tower. It was an beautiful room with lots of extra amenities included. The service was excellent and the staff were attentive. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Vegas.

A staple of downtown LV! Great food options, well run casino, and one of my "must visit" spots on Fremont Street. In fact, I sat down at a Buffalo Grand machine a couple of days ago and won a couple hundred bucks, and the woman sitting at the machine next to me won $1400 at the same time. Proof that jackpots aren't only won on the strip.

Stayed here only for the pool just to find out it was closed. Waiting in like check in for at least 20 minutes and the line was not long when we started. They only had 1 or people checking in. Then when we checked the clerk said they were out of kind sized beds and said we had choose between a 2 bed room or a smoking. Didn't offer any upgrade or diacount. Got totthe room and the tubthad marks all over itiand the drain was clogged. Only thing that is good is the valet and bellhop.

This hotel is beautiful and has tons to offer. The rooms are really great if you are going in a group because it can accommodate up to 6 people. Our room had a king size bed and a pull out couch. The room also had its own living room area and a huge bathroom.
The only down side is half of the pools were closed when we went yet they still charged us the full $51 resort fee daily.

Good size room, but friends room was a view of the car Park, despite being sold as "mountain view". Building works in the lobby, and loud music til 1am, although not a deal breaker, impacted on the quality of stay.

At Golden Nugget you get what you pay for. Our room wasn t the best but the casino itself is huge and has a lot to offer. The pool with the shark tank is awesome but gets very, very crowded.

We went there for the buffet but smoke was thick that it was even in the buffet area as well. Who can enjoy food with all the smoking. We declined to eat there. They need a better air filtration. The smoke was so thick from cigarettes and it stinks in there

Had a very relaxing and enjoyable spa day here followed by lunch by the little pool. Highly recommend, and will definitely schedule a visit every time we are here for an annual event we attend.

What can I say about this casino other than it is a true must see, and experience. It is a locals casino but with a true strip flair. If your looking for something away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, but can handle all your needs, this is def one of my pics for that. Even though it is away from the strip you still have easy access to all that Vegas offers.

Room and bathroom are not clean. Bathtub was rusted with small holes near the water flow. Filthy magazines that should have been replaced. Overall it's not a clean room and it's not worth for the cost.

Part of this review is due to bad luck at the craps table, but part is that the Golden Nugget had the highest table minimums we saw downtown. Unfortunately it was our first stop so we didn't realize that. We had gone downtown to get away from strip pricing, so we would have been better off trying some of their neighbors.

Stopped by at this Casino one evening exploring Fremont Street/Old Vegas. Definitely a more down to earth feel compared to casinos on the strip. Buy ins for blackjack and poker were slightly lower than the Strip.

This was a good hotel for the price. It was not a great hotel which is why I gave it 4 stars. But considering Its price it was good. The main con for this hotel was the queen beds were smaller than a full mattress.

WAS nice and an enjoyable experience.

WAS nice and an enjoyable experience.

NOW?? Bartenders with extremely negative attitudes and game play meters at all machines monitoring play before you're eligible for a complimentary beverage.

It ain't the Old Vegas anymore, and no place displays that more than the Golden Nugget.

Reserved a room online for a king size bed for our 5 year anniversary, when we checked in they only had a room with 2 full size beds available. They comped us the resort fee to make it right. Their elevators have been a little funky but overall they do a great job making sure their guests are happy and you just can't go wrong staying here if you want to experience Fremont street.

Auspicious to say the very least...a museum unto itself. Just to wander about the casino and marvel at the decor and atmosphere takes you back a bit, to marvel at the history of the "Gold Nugget," on display and of course to me, the ever present "tourist" no matter how long I'm here, I am constantly amazed at the tiny details I come upon every time I have a chance to enter the actual "original strip" of Las Vegas.

Great tourist area a lot of fun and a ton of things going on all around you. Not cheap and as a parent that is pretty easy going I would not recommend taking young children. This truly is at least a PG 13 area

Only thing nice about this place was location. The rooms are old, bathroom shower didnt drain, found food on the floor and they stick you with resort fees but you half the stuff you dont use. There was no coffee in rooms (we get that in cheap $90 rooms but pay 345 a night plus 45 in fees and get no coffee, no fridge no nothing. There was a note stating enjoy your ear plugs ti help sleep but no plugs just the note. We are not happy with the nugget. You live and learn. Just 2 block down fremont street we saw tons of hotels that would of been better.
