The view is pretty nice when you book a room on the 20s levels.
Rose is a super dope dealer that made blackjack a lot of fun.
The renovation looks really good, but still smells old. Their pool has a slide that goes through an aquarium. Some of the rooms have a really cool grand staircase.
While the employee at check-in was somewhat curt, the rooms were nice (although the lightswitches and plug-ins were hard to place), and the location was great.
After a day and a half we finally got a no smoking room!! They were not very helpful up until then when I told them I couldn t stay in that room one more night!! They did give us back the resort fees which was nice and our stay was good after that. My wife liked the gym and the facilities were very nice! I am not a fan of Vegas but we had a good time anyway.
$500 a night and no coffee pot or refrigerator??? maybe im being petty but i believe that they are missing the point. i get a suite cause i want a first class weekend, im not worried about price.if you need to charge for these thing then add it to the cost of the room. not more fees. i only go 1 or 2 times a year but next time it will be somewhere else
We enjoyed the golden nugget . We gambled for a while and then relaxed on Fremont street listening to music. We will be back!!!
Loved it, everything you'd expect in a vegas casino.
Stayed here 20 years ago and it was great. Just as nice this time around.
Love this hotel. The best place to sit to watch all the incredible things that go on on Freemont st.
We enjoyed a late dinner at The Claim Jumper. Food and service were excellent with nice menu choices. Get your parking pass validated for free parking.
Through the years that I've been coming to Vegas, I've stayed at the Golden Nugget most of them. Great service, affordable room rates and being adjacent to several other casinos on Fremont is what makes me come back. The Rush tower is very pretty, however quite noisy at night and they realize this and provide ear plugs. Not a fan. I'll take the Gold tower instead from now on.
The Golden Nugget is where we should have started our adventures from the start!
Classy Patrons and Casino. Easy parking and their Outside Bar is wonderful!
The casino was nice but one of the waitress was rude and I asked to see the Manager. I told the Manager about the rude waitress he apologized and removed her from the area she was serving.
Great place. Reno's are very nice. Machines pay super crappy.
We had a great experience. The rooms are beautiful and there are several great restaurants.
Nice old school casino, with lots of choice and friendly waiters.
Great experience and gaming options. I won a little bit.
Place is the best in old town vegas. Im not one for all the fancy stuff on the strip and i prefer old town and the history here. Check in was easy. Resort fee was a little more then expected ut overall this place is cool
Specially with the pool in the middle.
The Golden Nugget was very clean. We went to take a look at their pool for future trips and it's definitely worth the time. Its located in the middle of the Fremont experience so it is a great location for tourists.
I love freemont! Different atmosphere from the vegas strip!
Love This Casino/Hotel!! Always Busy & Totally Awesome!! Nice Rooms, Fantastic Pool Area & Amazing Casino!!! You Would Have To Try Real Hard Not To Have A Phenomenal Experience!!
Casino looks like it has a good selection if games but I didn't get a chance to try any. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Look like they have been recently renovated and very well kept.
We visited the casino and sportsbook. Better options than the strip. People are more low key...has more of an older vegas feel
My first stay in Los Vegas! We made a good choice in staying in the Golden Nugget. Hotel was afford and it's on the old strip of Vegas. Another think that was cool about this hotel was the pool which had an aquarium in the middle. The only bad thing was it was so full of people felt like the elevator could not keep up. Overall this was a hotel where you can just stay in the night and go out all day. I recommend this for first timer tourist in Vegas
Very clean and pleasant atmosphere...5 stars most likely if they had coffee in the rooms, lines too long to wait for morning Java
They deserve a big fat zero!!! They don't care about customer service, satisfaction or well being. I fell on the very slippery pool floor and do you think that they cared or paid for the bills, NO!! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Be aware if you have an accident they'll lie and say it was your fault.
Just stoped in for happy hour at sushi restaurant. Great price on good food and drinks. Real good service, didn't wait for anything.
Was pretty impressed! Older resort, but nicely maintained.
Very nice room and loved the new aquarium they are putting in
Nice place to stay. Quiet clean. Bedding was always crisp and clean. Always had enough toiletries. Towels very clean. Only downside I noticed was the employees i.e casino floor cleaners, waitress, and a couple of security (when asked a question) were rode. But otherwise loved it.
It was a fun place. The pool had a shark and fish in an aquarium so it kinda looks like your swimming wit the sharks. The huge gold nugget was cool. A little hard to find. But cool
Stayed here for three nights to attend my sister-in-law's wedding, had to say that even though I'm not a smoker there were non-smoking and smoking rooms available, even a non smoking casino area! The price and location for the short stay was perfect and even won a few hundred in penny slots. Sitting the older part of town the hotel was super clean, as staff was constantly fussing over the appearance. What I truely enjoyed was the limited entry/exit points to the covered Fremont walk...this seemed to maintain easy enough access to the casino area, yet prevented a flooding of people to come through. This seems a bit counter productive, but I'll stick around a bit longer if the casino isn't packed in like sardines. I'd be likely to come stay at this casino again and certainly enjoyed the Claim Jumper restaurant.
Resort fees should be less when spa and pool are closed. Parking garage attendants are grumpy. Room beds are small. Location is convenient right on fremont. Cadillac grill is good.
The smoke free rooms are wonderful as are the suites. The rooms are spacious and the views and staff wonderful.
The Fremont experience is a great place to gamble, with daily live entertainment. The Golden Nugget is a excellent choice for Fremont Street. Really consider the upgrade. I'm enjoying the Rush Tower private floor, I plan to try the suite my next visit. Restaurants, shops and bars. Helpful and cheerful staff that want to work and make all guest experience a pleasurable one. One of the best casinos on Fremont.
Hotel is in a fun location, just walk outside and your in the middle of the Fremont experience. Would have giving a hire rating, but first room had a dirty battub, receptionist changed my room with no problem. Shark tank pool is very cool. Would stay again just to swim in it.
We love the pool for the kids but it's not just kids who use it. It gets pretty hectic and busy with folks drinking it up. Try to get off peak times to avoid the craziness, the earlier the day the Less madness but you will be dealing with the hot sun.
Make sure everyone gets enough sun block because it's easy to get a sun burn.
My wife and I were married February 8th 2005 at TGN, LV.
We celebrate our anniversary here every year
Beautifully decorated, wait staff are very well trained.
Desk personnel are very professional, the hotel exceeded my expectations.
The hosted events are great entertainment.
I recommend their potato clam soup and their mahi mahi with broccoli and pesto salad.
Long line for check in took about 30 minutes, I usually stay at the Rush tower and check in at Rush tower but that check in was closed. Pool was open but they forced us to wear our masks at all times outside by the pool even though they have the chairs social distanced. I understand inside but outside and social distanced. They had people walking around constantly reminding us if we didn't have our masks covering our mouth and nose, I just went back to my room.
Such a fun place. Lots of stuff going on and a ton of friendly faces
This place was awful!
First, we get there and they try to stick us in a smoking room when I told them at the time of the reservation that I wanted nonsmoking. The rooms are very dated (Carson Tower) the elevators kept braking down and we were on the 22nd floor. You are supposed to get free drinks as long as you re playing the machines/tables but you never see a waitress come around. I would not ever stay here again and would recommend you to take your money somewhere else if you re wanting to drink.
This is a really cozy hotel and gambling establishment. Staff were friendly with exception to one manager but over all I enjoy staying at the Nugget for the convnience of old town Las Vegas and the night life. Will go back again.
Love this place. Simple put has everything you need in Vegas. With excellent eats outside down Fremont street.
The casino is awesome, light and lively. Great sports book. Highly recommended the sushi restaurant.
Advertised no resort fees but that was only if booked through them beds were very small full size beds. Do not plan on staying here again did very little of our gaming here.
Paid premium price to stay in rush tower only to be placed in a room where it literally felt like the band on fremont street was in the room. When I asked for a room change, I was told there were no alternative rooms until the next day. No other solution was provided except to basically deal w/ it. Will update post after/if they change the room. If you are going to be up all night this hotel might still work for you, but if you want any sleep, I'd go elsewhere. Can't believe they would build Rush tower w/o better windows to keep the sound from Fremont out of the rooms. I have stayed here in the past, but I must have just gotten lucky to get a room not facing Fremont.
Sad kind of, Girlfriend and I wanted to gamble on the 5 dollar and 1 dollar blackjack. And they closed their tables. It was like only 1 am!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Blackjack pays 6:5 though. Side bets are minimal at $1 and wagers start at $5. Free drinks while you play. Busy on weekends and more laid back on weekdays. A great place and right on Fremont St.. I'd definitely go again!
We were there during opening weekend and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Loved every minute we were in this casino, despite losing a couple hundred:)
Certainly the best casino in downtown Vegas. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Rooms are great.
If you have never been to Downtown Town Vegas Its a experience you must see !!
FREMONT STREET IS LIVE AND CRAZY
Convenient location near the center of Fremont. Great casino.
Best place on Fremont street. Nice place all around.
I have always liked it here. I have a good win rate here.
So many people! My uncles staying here, the pool is gorgeous and the casino is nice. Very fancy.
Fun and friendly, lots of table games with low minimums .Very clean and a lot of staff to help you with whatever you may need.
The golden nugget casino and resort was a classic experience, much more down to earth than the regular Las Vegas casinos. Really enjoyed the aged look and the history of the casino. Very decorated and very lit up like the old school lighting, mini bulbs, etc. It was super packed and busy compared to the mainstream strips top places. The people were much more relaxed and having a good time, most were dressed casual and we're there to have a good time. Definitely a must go when In las Vegas. I feel I was robbed last few times I came before I found this place. If you like to gamble like your at your local bar then this is it. Best table dealers I ever met as well. Don't pass this up.
Big place. Fairly clean. Right on Fremont. Decent stay. Pool area always seemed overcrowded.
Love going downtown. Location is great and friendly staff
Had a blast, such a wonderful experience!! Beautiful people everywhere, cant wait to go back!!
Good hotel great restaurants and pool. Drink prices were very high. The prices for a 12 oz beer was $6.50.
Waited all day to get our room,so they upgraded us to one bedroom suite. Housekeeping was a joke! Had to call everyday to get room cleaned. After 3 days of this, I will no longer stay at this hotel. The worst service I ever had staying in a hotel.
This casino should be on the strip. Way to nice to be downtown.
Great hotel in the middle of everything in downtown. Love the Freemont area then this location is perfect.
Being on Free-mount st. in downtown Vegas is a blast. Totally different feel from the shinny new soulless building on the strip.
My first stay at in vegas! I loved it and will be back here
Very nice renovated hotel. It's nice to see Downtown Las Vegas being revitalized.
The tank was awesome, but having half the elevators not working was a bad experience.
The rooms are updated and very nice. Quick access to everything in Downtown
Freemont experience right outside your door! I was traveling with my family and this hotel was definitely kids friendly. The pool was amazing and the slide was the best along with the shark tank. The pool gets crowded but we didn't mind. Arrive early to get a spot tough!! Try cocktails at H2O bar while you are at the pool.
I thought the inside was going to be outdated but I was wrong! The rooms are clean and the staff was nice and friendly. The self parking was easy to find and just steps to the hotel.
Loved it! Everything was so convenient. You could walk out the hotel and everything was walking distance.
My room didnt have a refrigerator or microwave. Bummer
What a great time! Staff was awesome! Prices are great! My go to!
I was highly surprised at the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff at the Nugget. We stayed in the new Rush tower and it was very nice, stayed 4 nights and would highly recommend. There is always something going on in the area and lots to do.
This place is the heart of downtown both in location and in style. It's historic Vegas at it's best. With nice rooms and a pool with a clear slide that goes through a shark tank
Very clean beautiful room!! Great service, housekeeping was awesome! I would recommend this hotel to everybody!! I will b staying at the Golden Nugget when I come back to Vegas
Stopped in while checking out Freemont. Bar service was quick and accommodating.
A very nice with a smaller more friendly casino than most. Rooms excellant, service and staff great. Good choice of eateries and don't forget to try the chicken pot pie in restaurant on main floor. We also had fun at Bubba Gump when we met ( FORREST GUMP). Many thanks to Gump staff for taking picture for us. My only criticism would be that there is only one rest room on he casino floor. For a FOF like ME this can sometimes be a problem.
Friendly. Had traditional amenities. Didn't like that I had a pool suite, listened to beating rap and hiphop all morning and day long. If you got in late to your room, you were screwed for noise. Made a lot of friends. Certain staff member really hurt my experience here, but do not want to rate off of that one person, even though that was the most memorable moment at the Golden Nugget was this unprofessional dealer. But food is good. Limits are reasonable. Necessary accommodations. Cozy.
