Golden Coast Resort Hotel Turkey Review

The Von resort Golden Beach created the good first impression. It is located at a distance of 55 km to Antalya city, 17 km to Manavgat and 48 to the airport. It takes app. 5 minutes to get to the beach when you walk, and 3 minutes or less to get to by a club car, which goes every 2 minute.
Room service is not perfect: towels have sometimes unpleasant smell; air conditioner does not work properly, only in one apartment of 2, if you have a family room, however it cools so good; there are ants in a toilet room; low speed of Wi-Fi (it depends on the location of your house, the territory is huge); there is old furniture; and the room directory book is not useful, bc. it gives uncorrect info, so you should check it before use it. In the other hand, the Vonresort Golden Beach hotel is just a little city, with its own foreign inhabitants, trafic, laws and style of life. Walking around the vast territory of the hotel, you may come across blooming plants, houses for turkish cats, club cars with new "inhabitants", pools, bars and many kids. Most of all I like the Aquapark, for all, who love to have fun. The lobby is the place with good wi-fi connection, dozen of beverages (ayran is the best!) and armchairs. I was so glad to see the post box there, as a postcrosser, it's too important to me to keep in touch with another postcrossers and my family members through postcards, which you can pick up here, in the shopping centre, stamps you can buy there appropriately. The post is taken every Sunday. To sum up, the Vonresort Golden Beach deserves all 4 stars, that it has. It is a pretty lovely place for children, because there is even the playground for them!
I rated it in 3 stars due to bad Wi-Fi connection.

We loved it so much that we went for two years in a single .. Great word with one ... I strongly recommend .. You can not be regret.

Beds are awful. Food is ok, but not exactly varied. The facility is well-kept but showing its age. Rooms are old and normal standard. Worst of all, the service was getting worse day by day. Nice beach, shuttle service to the beach doesn't fit enough people in the vehicle. Very long waiting times at all bars to get drinks. No self-service for non-alcoholic drinks. You stand in line at the bar for everything.
Too many guests for the restaurant

Below average service, far from attractions, personnel not friendly ar all, rooms and facilites quite old. Long queues in all bars from the resort, waiting time far a drink is usually over 10-15 minutes. Not that all a 5 star facility, in same budget are available much better choices in Turkey. Not recommended.

We at the age of 43,41,14,12 and 9 years rate our hotel stay from 10.10.18-10.10.18 as follows:
Check in was very friendly and very efficient. We were driven with our suitcases to our Famzi. The loading and unloading of our luggage has been taken over by the hotel staff. On the way to our room the staff showed us and explains in German, where the important first portals are & where we get new beach towels. Our Famzi. was on the 2nd floor. Our bags were carrying up. Our Famzi. was in a very clean and impeccable condition. The staff explained how to set the air conditioning and how the room safe can be used. And then he wanted to go again. Since he did not ask for a tip by himself & he did his job so kind & conscientious, we gave him a tip. He thanked us & wished us a nice holiday. The room was exactly as it was described by our tour operator. The room was getting old, we did not think so, but everyone has their own perception. The room was cleaned every day with everything that belonged to it. Food & beverage were almost everywhere in the whole area. There were restaurants, snacks, bars and a'la carte restaurants. At different opening times. The buffets were always the same in their basic form and on different days were always different highlights offered such as: salmon or pizza or kebab, etc., etc. This did not bother us, as the buffets were very large & we certainly not everything could try because it was just too much. Salads and fruits were always fresh. There were hot & cold buffets. Our own kids are certainly not the best eaters, especially if they do not know the food. But they were satisfied & were always full. Drinks such as coffee, tea, cocoa, apple juice, orange juice, multivitamin juice, etc. you could at any time take yourself at the vending machine. Of course you could also order the drinks at the table. The service staff had so much to do at peak times that you had to wait a bit to order your drinks. That was fine for us, because you can not work more than that & the service staff worked & always tried to please all & that certainly was not always that easy. The volume in the rush hour can be very loud, but it depends on how the guests behave themselves with their families. The noise is from the guests and not from the hotel or the staff. The aquapark has 13 slides, 9 slides for adults & children & 4 slides for younger children. 10 o'clock-17: 30 o'clock. All pools were watched by "lifeguards". There were also regular pool games with the guests here. If you get hungry, you could also eat delicious burgers with fries here. Drinks except for cocktails were also available. The beds are sufficiently available. There are no editions here. Beach chairs with cushions are only on the beach. Our Famzi. We had a very central location in this very large resort. If we did not want to walk we could use the shuttle service. The shuttle leaves every 5 minutes to the beach. Last drive from the beach to the hotel is at 18 o'clock. The fine sandy beach is very well maintained. Here, too, there are lifeguards on the beach and on the boardwalk with platform for jumping at certain times. There is seating & drinks on the jetty. On the beach there is another bar and the immediate vicinity a snack bar. Also on the beach there is plenty of food and drink. Local providers offer water sports here. The hotel area is constantly maintained. There are also free-roaming animals, the chickens and the cats are very popular among the children. The entire hotel staff was always friendly towards us. I can not say much about the shows, since we are not show goers ourselves, we preferred to play card games together at one of the bars.

Starting with a reservation, as long as you are a guest, the rooms, restaurants, pools, bars and cafes, streets and gardens are immaculate. The food and drinks are of good quality and delicious, the hygiene I pay attention to the most, the aqua with 13 slides, the electric golf vehicles in the holiday village, the pearl-grained clean sand of the beaches, the night activities, health service, etc. etc. What can I say? with the word superrrr. Thanks for everything.

Very friendly staff. The do their best to please you. Food is great and plenty of choice. The staff makes sure everything is spotless and clean. Nice pools with food and drinks during opening hours. If i have to point out flaws, then it would be that there is no possibility for wifi in the appartments. The wifi in the open spaces isn't that good either. Given the fact that this is a pretty luxureous resort i find that strange. The room has plenty of space, very good. Some may find it old fashion, but it has everything you need.
What really disturbs me, and i think the resort does too, is that some people find it necessary to stack their plates full with food and leave it untouched to be thrown away. I'm sorry to say that mostly russian people do this. They are very rude, and have no decency what so ever. This has nothing to do with the resort.

We came with 4 adults and 2 children and had reserved the family room for this. One of our children cannot walk yet, only crawls.

Negative:
This is where the first problem started. The hotel description stated 3 rooms with 6 full beds. We found 4 beds and 2 very uncomfortable sofa beds that were estimated from the 90s in terms of function and condition. Incidentally, this also applied to the side bed, where the bare metal was rusty and only covered with a thin fabric cover. In addition, the mattress was too small, which meant that the little one slipped between the mattress and the edge several times during the night. We made do with a few towels here. The next big problem was the cleanliness of the room. It is only swept, not wiped, and only very superficially. The piece of onion peel that was in front of the kitchen unit was a loyal companion for 2 weeks. Walking barefoot in the room let alone crawling with the little one was out of the question, as the result was black hands and feet. Generally the room was very shabby.
The hotel complex consists of 3 hotels (Vonresort Golden Beach, Golden Coast and Elite) this ensures a lot of activity on the beach outside of the holiday season in Germany. Dinner and breakfast have the charm of a large, filled station hall where the search for seats can take 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the food has little variety to offer, but there is a lot of choice. Twice a week there is a Turkish evening with local specialties. At lunchtime we were mostly in the snack bar from the beach. Here it is much smaller and a little more pleasant because there were fewer people. Unfortunately, the hotel put exactly the same CD on which rattled from the old speakers on the ceiling every day. Unfortunately too loud for a cozy meal and conversation.
The staff tried to be always friendly, but you noticed more quietly that the typical Turkish friendliness was not there as you might be used to. The mini disco takes place every evening at 8.30 p.m. and was unfortunately rather bad compared to other hotels.
WiFi is free, but unfortunately only available at the contact points such as the reception and restaurant. In the room it is a matter of luck whether you have WiFi or not.

Positive:
The area outside was well maintained and was constantly cleaned. The pools and the beach were always clean and nothing was broken. The baby pools were provided with sun protection and there were enough loungers available. The pools were unfortunately not heated and therefore it was much colder than in the sea. A jetty in the sea led to a platform on which there was a bar and individual parcels that could be rented on a daily basis for 50 to get a little more privacy. Everything was fine here too.
There was always a lifeguard on site on the beach and if not this was marked with flags. Showers and a bar with drinks were available right on the beach.
The beach is a 5 minute walk away, but we were at the end of the complex that was close to the beach. So it can be 15 minutes, depending on where you are. But it drives in every 5 minutes

In general, I would recommend anyone with a family to take the largest category. The family suites are newly built and are much better equipped than the other rooms. One can recommend the hotel with some restrictions. If the cleanliness was better and the rooms were renovated regularly it would be a good hotel.

Great kitchen, the staff was amazing, they helped us with everything we wanted to. We were pleasantly surprised with the number of things that are included in the all inclusive, starting from drinks, ending with free sauna and others. Every night there are amazing shows and we really enjoyed most of them. One of the best hotels i have ever been to, and i was to a lot of places. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners were excelent, lots to chose from and we rarely were ever displeased with the quality of the foods. The nature is just beutiful. Food is available basically everytime, drinks as well. Room service is good also. The only thing that concerned me is wasting plastics, I mean, I understand some things, but i thing they could waste less. But otherwise, i could not recommend enough.

Great, fairly modern hotel, good, helpful staff, also at the front desk. Problems, they arose, were solved quickly and courteously. The association with the adjoining Beach and Elite with VIP band was a very good and welcome addition that made it possible to meet three hotel kitchens and their food. And every kitchen was really good, with an oversized selection of delicious food. Also entire green areas and the beach with beach chairs and mats were well maintained, clean, and there were plenty of beach chairs plus cushions, so that the annoying "reservation" did not occur.

I stayed at the hotel for 6 days with my family. It was a 5 star hotel in terms of needing cleaning, needing dishes, or activities.

Very friendly and helpful staff, rich buffet. The rooms are OK, but also older. The beach is shallow to the water and only with a few rocks but that does not bother Nice beach bar ... All in all, this hotel asks a lot of entertainment and looks consistent.

Nice complex, perfect for a family vacation with children. A large slide park with 4 children's slides that are separated from the large ones. Admission is included in the hotel price. The food is very varied, the rooms are spacious. We had a family room with two rooms and one bathroom. The bathroom is a bit small but perfectly adequate for the purpose. Both rooms had balconies with a sea view. The staff was very nice and accommodating. All in all a very nice vacation. You experience something new every day and always discover new things.
The sea and the sandy beach are incredibly beautiful.

Rooms very worn, quite noisy at night even if you are very far away from the entertainment room.
No service at the bars, very long waits to get drinks. The same food every day, no matter which restaurant you eat. Plant very large, but well maintained. Staff very nice, have fun with the kids.

I was single at the VonResort Golden Coast hotel in May 2019. This is a hotel complex consisting of several hotels from the VonResort chain, which is located in a beautifully landscaped garden directly on a fabulously beautiful sandy beach. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and the food varied. I was only dissatisfied with the freshly prepared meats because they were all very tough every time. It's also not very nice when you arrive at a hotel as a new guest and the two people at the reception desk spend a long time on the phone. There would surely be other people who could make these phone calls. It is nice when the suitcase is brought to your room after you have checked in. It is a shame, however, when every question is answered with "No idea, please ask reception". Ultimately, however, there are worse things, so no problem.

The wifi and internet in the hotel is absolutely cruel. Constant failures are the order of the day. Things like that don't have to be in 2019. I was there in the preseason. How can it be when the hotel is full?

Otherwise it should be mentioned that there are very few or no shopping possibilities in the vicinity of the hotel. One looks in vain for a bazaar etc.

In summary, I can really recommend the Golden Coast as a family hotel. Nobody is perfect, certainly not even a hotel. The fact is, however, that the staff there are extremely friendly and helpful; everything is constantly maintained and kept clean. An aqua park with numerous slides is also part of the complex. There were many Russian hotel guests present, but I absolutely cannot share the prevailing opinion about the people from there. They were all families who appeared decent and very polite.

For the first time I lived a life, but I did not come across a disturbing side

Very large venue, good quality and tasty, service very good

We stayed here for 8 days on vacation. We all liked it a lot. The area is quite large and therefore a lot is going on. But that was clear to us before. Very positive we found the great variety that is offered. Aqua Park with many slides and a large pool. Two normal but quite large pools and from this point very nice sea. The hotel's own jetty with bar and platform to jump are a highlight.
Food was good on the whole. Can you expect the quantity and the price also not very good.
Staff was always friendly. The bathing supervision, especially at the sea, was too often on the phone instead of my eyes on the sea. With the slides they had the whole children but well under control and everything went without crowding and injuries.
There are many parents with children here. For a couple I would rather choose another smaller hotel. With children from small to large but highly recommended.

Large well-kept complex.
However, the cleaning staff is a catastrophe. We had the same dirt in the room for 14 days.
The food is really very diverse ... but unfortunately that is it because there is ABSOLUTELY missing any trace of variety in the food. The same for 14 days. I've really never seen that before.
This vacation was a shot in the oven for us and at the same time to the WORST hotel we have ever visited in Turkey. And we've been flying here once a year for 7 years.
ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED.

Huge holiday complex, clean, tidy, courteous service. The only problem was that 70% of the holiday audience came out of a certain group of people who literally smoked between two meals during the meal, so we literally drowned for a week for cigar smoke because they were sucked out of the building everywhere.

The place is wonderful. The service is amazing. Friendly and polite staff. Clean and comfortable. Walking through the hotel, you can see a lot of beautiful flowers. Flowers, lawns, plants are all well-groomed and fragrant. The only problem is the strange smell and small debris on the beach. But this is not the fault of the hotel, but of the guests themselves. But there is also a nice plus, there are a lot of cats on the territory. Cats are smooth-haired, clean. And most importantly, they are adequate and calm. One even entered the room through the terrace. She walked around, looked and left. In general, I didn't want to leave at all
