Avoid this place on a hot day. Also avoid on rainy and wintery days. Coffee is way too expensive compared to some of the best cafes nearby. Extra shot costs a dollar which seems like a rip off. Coffee tasted okay. Place can be cleaner. Staff is indifferent.

The worst service in Melb. I ordered one cup of coffee. But after I waited for 15 minutes, they told me they didn t process my order and asked me to show the receipt to prove. Quite humiliated! And they seems only smile to their regular customers! I regret that I haven t checked this google review before I ordered.

Rude manager! I have been buying from this shop for a while due to the proximity of the Trams even had a loyalty card. One day, decided to sit on their outdoor area just for a second to rest, and i was called off immediatey not to sit there if I am not buying. There were EMPTY seats! No wonder they have such rating.

While we waited for our drinks we witnessed her tell a customer they had taken too much sugar, got their order wrong and snapped at them for it!

We had to wait about 10 minutes for a coffee in a less than busy place, won't be going back to this outlet again.

Only one female staff member (who looked like a boss) was very high-handed and yelled at me, which I didn't like.

She was yelling all the time, even when we were eating at the table.

I don't know if she's frustrated because she has to work on Boxing Day, but I think she's very rude.

I was very disappointed because I like the coffee from this chain. I will never go back to this store again. I will advise my colleagues not to go there again.

Rude staff and poor customer service. we went in and took a seat and the waiter came to us twice within a minute asking whether we were gonna buy something or not. When i said I'm still deciding he said they have other customers waiting for seats. What type of a customer service is that? Also there was a minor behind the counter serving. When i went to complain i found out the waiter was actually the owner. Really disappointed with their culture.! If you can't keep up with the standards don't buy a Gloria Jeans, Try a china bar instead..!! Just a bunch of hare brained villagers ruining another widespread business.

My guess is the owner In charge - the rudest lady on earth - does not know how to talk to people - she needs a course on customer service of possible from the head office which I am ready to pay.

Strongly NOT recommended, and @gloria jeans, if you dont want a de-branded, you should consider take back this franchise. Both Staffs and boss are rudes. We asked to have-here but the manager brought out 4 cups of clastic take-away, then upon asking why, she showed her annoying face and tell us we ordered small sizes, hence they dont server !?!?!?! Is this really your standard? Gloria??!???

I have visited this franchise of Gloria Jeans twice, and on both occasions, I was spoken to abruptly and with hostility. The first time, I was given the wrong information about a menu item, and spoken down to. The second time I dealt with the store manager who actually screamed at me. When I explained to her that her manner was rude, she rolled her eyes, ignored me and walked off refusing to serve me. They don't even deserve the 1 star. I have never experienced this kind of serve from any Gloria Jeans franchise nor any coffee shop - so I am lost for words how this place manages to keep their franchisee licence. My advice to Gloria Jeans - let this franchise go, their conduct is damaging to your reputation.
Suggestions to customers who experience abrasive service - report the bad customer service as a complaint via the Customer Feedback form on the website. Be sure to state the address location of the franchise and the time and date of your visit with an explanation of the incident. All complaints are forwarded to the Area Manager who will then need to liaise with the store.

Watching staff snapping at customers is repulsive. Although the location is convinent and I'm a loyalty card holder, I'll be going to the Starbucks down the road. Not like their card system is ever working.

I haven't met a person so rude like this for a long time. I was waiting my friend in their store table. When the old women came out to ask us whether we want to order something, I refused her since we already have one. I am totally understand that she doesn't allow us to sit here. However, her attitude is so hard to acceive. Not only that, she still shout with her friend that she is so anoiying about the perple like this, and so lots of bad thing about us in Cantonese. Maybe she thought we can't understand what she said, but unfortunately we can. This store is sucks!

AVOID THIS OUTLET LIKE A PLAGUE!! I do get my coffee from them and was there the other day and took TWO pieces of napkin. The fat Asian man attending to the counter shouted at me for taking more than one piece!! These guys cannot be serious! After this episode, I'm never going back.

The level of noise in store rivals hawker centres. The staff is very noisy, e.g. shouting loudly amongst each other behind the counter, sounds emanating from rough handling of the dishes and the equipment. Sad to see the franchise name being destroyed like this.

As many others have already stated, the female staff (manager/owner/supervisor?) Is extremely rude. One of the worst customer services I have ever experienced in my 30 odd years living in Australia. Will be sending an official complaint to Gloria Jean's headquarters. Have no idea how someone with an ongoing attitude like hers could work in a customer facing position/industry. Would never go here or recommend it to anyone.
