Bought Reconditioned Range Rover Sport 3.0 Engine After the engine for my Range Rover sport finally failed(after giving me so many problems). I decided to get a new engine for it. My baby bmw x6 was smoking a lot i found this company "Global Engines & Gearboxes " online gave a call in to speak with the staff and get an idea of how they work etc. Spoke to a lad Adam , very friendly chap explained to Me how they work, from the issues i was having with the vehicle adam told me that the common issue on these vehicles is they lose compression , the rings go weak. Long story short i booked the vehicle in with adam who within 3 days of my vehicle arriving gave me A call to come down to the garage and see the old engine i was local so thought how nice of him :) , so i popped down to the garage to view the progress and as exactly as adam had said to me they had the engine stripped down and i could see clearly the difference , he gshowed me the engine that was going into my vehicle he even showed me the old filter on my engine which was covered in sludge due to the poor oil i was using , he recommended that i have a fresh oil + filter service every 4000-5000 miles which keeps it nice and fresh , i was waiting till i hit 5k miles to leave this feedback and i can say the car is running an absolute dream i am more than happy with the work that you guys at global have done for me. I would 100% RECOMMEND you guys adam your a star i appreciate the way you handled this frustrating situation for me thanks guys

They fixed my Jag XF (2.7 TDI V6 the absolute beast) with overheated engine at the same time repairing other minor faults, can't be happier with the car back on the road feeling as BRAND SPANKING NEW. Paid less than half of what I got quoted at Jag dealerships. And what they quoted at dealerships would have got me another one of them Jags XF, so it was absolutely pointless, quoting me the ridiculous near 5 digit price. The scamming little jammy dodgers. Whereas guys here genuinely know their stuff and will do repairs and rebuilds that other places would simply never manage to do, get various parts, fix things that seem unfixable, absolute lads. Not to meniton I could actually see my car being worked on (arrived for it early), my old engine out, told exactly what's wrong and what's right. Will recommend to anyone like mad. Life savers. It was previously sent to a garage in outside London.i have already paid deposit My car was there for three months. They kept telling me stories. Then one day when I called to see if the car was ready they told me a dog has bitten the person working on my car and nothing has been done. I was so upset after 4 months with no car. I manage to get held of Global Engines through a friend. .I called and Gloal engines arranged and pick up my car from outside London they promised my car will be ready within 10 days and to my surprise my car was back on road as they promised. The price of building a reconditioned engine was also reasonable. I will recommend Globall Engines for all engine works. I am so happy now with my car.

I had a BMW 730 diesel with a blown engine. I called Global Engines for a price for a replacement engine and can only say the service was exceptional. The guy I spoke to originally arranged to have my car collected from my home and once the engine had been fitted even offered to bring it back to me, although I chose to collect it myself. My 2011 range rover sport engine seized, after a oil pump failure. it was towed away that day to a local land rover dealer. After consultation with me, a new engine was required. Recently had my Porsche Boxster 2.7 engine reconditioned by Global engines and gearboxes. The final result is absolutely first class. They took me through the workshop and I witnessed the stages the engine went through from being in bits to getting rebuilt!! . YOU NEED TO READ THIS BEFORE LETTING THEM NEAR YOUR CAR The thing kept going into limp mode and cost me loads of money as i kept having to go to my local garage to have the thing seen to. I complained and threatened to go to trading standards because they insited the problems were not down to them, in the end i had a report done at MORE expense which highlighted trapped wiring looms, oil leaks and reused gaskets sealed with sealant (which is obviously not proper), eventually they agreed- reluctantly- to have the car back to sort out all the problems. I wish i could say they did but, when i picked it up, the engine managment light was straight on and then before we got home more warning lights etc. etc. To be honest I didn't even want them to touch it again after the report. I had NONE of these problems EVER before they had worked on my car. I felt they had placed me and my family in danger with the shoddy work, but I had to give them a chance, by law, in order to go to the next level of complaint with trading standards. I never made it to the next level as the stress and expense was too much, all the while i never had an offer of any reimbursment and I eventually traded it in before seeing this process through as i depend on my car 100% for work and couldn't afford to have it sitting around for evidence purposes whilst i took them to court. I dearly wish i had the time and money to devote to holding them to account for what i believe was awful workmanship. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Took my scirocco 2.0tsi (58) in for a replacement engine. Paid more than expected on collection as other problems were recognised. The guys noticed my clutch was on it's way out and replaced. Clutch was showing signs of failing prior to the timing chain breaking(so well happy they managed to do this) water pump was leaking (again grateful this was addressed. Shortly after getting my car back I noticed a few things I wasnt too happy with and contacted them. They were more than happy to take my car in and sort these. With my experience I would recommend taking your car to get repaired here. Car is currently with them now and I will follow up this review
