Glenwood Healthcare & Rehab Review

Establishment is negligent, understaffed and chaotic. The smell of urine hits you as soon as you make it past the guest check-in area. I've often seen ONE staff member servicing 10-15 rooms. Once the bedside call button is finally answered it can range from a few minutes to a no show. A patient can be in serious trouble or even deceased at the rate of these response times.

Basics have to be asked for on a consistent bases - fresh linen, trash removal, gloves, wipes etc.

Patient charts/reports aren't printed to review as the shift changes so staff enters the room without knowing how to properly care for a patient's injury and overall needs. They are in a rush, lack empathy ans professionalism. It's absolutely ridiculous and unethical to treat people this way!!

I highly reccommend another facility for your family member because they deserve better. Patients and staff are both trying to survive in this poorly ran center.

Please do not send your love one to this place.. .My mom is on Life support right now from the neglect that she has experience there. . something has to be done. this place need to be shut down. Please if u care for your family do not send them there.. My mom passed away September 15, 2018....I'm not gonna rest until they pay for what they did to her .. Facts

Glenwood is an AWSOME place to work.... I have been employed here since September and it has been a great experience...... The staff is very knowledgeable about the building and the new process..Looking forward to spending more years to come...

I was very pleased with the care provided for my family member, staff were pleasant and responsive. the facility was clean and the therapy was great. the food was even good which was a surprise as it must be hard to please everyone. I saw some people say there was an odor, the few times I detected that it was addressed immediately, remember you are dealing with a lot of people with no control so it is understandable, it is how they handle it that is important. I would highly recommend this nursing and rehab facility.

I wouldn t recommend this place to no one. If you really care for your loved ones you wouldn t. They killed my father by neglecting medical care. When asked how this happened I was told they are sorry! They don t know this could have happened but they are investigating. How could fail at doing the very thing my dad was sent there to receive. No matter how many apologies you give it won t bring my father back.

The place has taken wonderful care of my father. He was moved from Prairie Manor in Chicago Heights which was very problematic. I was called every other day to calm him down at Prairie Manor, since he moved to Glenwood a year ago I have only received incidental calls if something regarding concern to his health. My father is happier and well cared for at this facility. There is a theft problem which could be addressed as well as a urine smell that is ever present. The staff always seems happy and pleasant enough, they hold their heads high and are smiling when I visit generally. Any phone calls are received with excellent helpfulness. My father is very happy they have dialysis machines on site which avoids the long transfers to facilities.

This has been the most unprofessional shortstaffed facility that I have visited I wouldn t except employment there and out my license at risk

my mother died in that place, she fell several times in there . she broke her hip and 6 month later she died June 9th 2019 and they are suing me for payments. the day before she passed i found black ants on her

If you have other options, and you care about your loved ones, take them someplace else. Seriously. Stay away.

My mother was at this horrible facility last August for only 2 days. She was complaining nonstop on how terrible they were treating her. So I decided to show up unannounced, I'm so glad I did. I saw first hand for myself the neglect. They hadn't showered her and she had feces still on her from the night before. I then had to shower my mother since none of the workers did their job, but smiled in my face that morning and told me they would take good care of my mother. What a LIE!! I wouldn't allow my dog Diamond to stay at this deplorable place. Only if I had read the other reviews first I wouldn't have made such an error with taking her there. Its obvious this place needs to be shut down!! I feel sorry for anyone that's still currently there, please check on your loved ones and get them out of this place ASAP!!
