I attended this school from 2012 to 2013, and, despite the houseparents being amazing people, the rest of the school and staff was not good. On my 7th grade year, the houseparents we had went to Hersey, Pennsylvania. While they were finding us replacement houseparents they had an alumni watch us 12 boys. The person did not come to watch us and left us on our own. Fights broke out in the cottage, food fights, and kids getting cuts were just some of the things that happened during the two weeks it was allowed. After that I had to drive an hour home an hour back every morning and night. The care was not what was promised. Also the at least once a week the meat and/or bread was moldy, yet unchanged. I regret going.
Really nice environment, was here 20 years ago as a camp counsellor (a few days at the school but mostly on the camp in Lake Blaisdell, WI). Lovely people and really enjoyed my time there.
Went here as a student in the 1960s. Interesting times then, I liked it despite the 60s weirdness. It was a good home and institution. A fine school all in all. I'm sorry to see most of the fine old buildings gone.
I never graduate from the boys school it is the only school that has a hold on my heart more so than the school i graduated from I'm retired from local #399 I'm 70yr old i tell everyone about the school the best in my youth love it
I'm a grateful graduate. Glenwood School helps students to not only realize their potential, but also helps them to achieve it by teaching students the skills and life lessons that, despite this rapidly changing world, will never go out of demand.
this was a horrible school and it never had good food all the reviews are all lies they are bad don't go here you will die inside i hated my life after that my friend's kids went here and i told him not to a truly horrible place don't know why people are excited to go here i wouldn't give it a chance i went here from 1956 to 1957
This school is amazing. My children have only been there a short period of time but I can already see a drastic change. The house parents are patient and nurturing when it comes to new youth that have to adjust. I couldn't be more happier.
