The tacos de la calle are wonderful. The ingredients are fresh and the entrees are made to order. The staff is friendly band courteous.
The coffee is the best.

This place is amazing!!!!! Had the breakfast burrito and mocha expresso which was the best burrito I ve eating around town. Super chill and relax environment and great place to mellow out and enjoy an amazing healthy cup of coffee and food.

Good food, great decor, slow service. Definitely not a place to go if you are in a rush. Everything seems to be made to order, including each coffee, so it's very fresh but there were only 2 people working during our visit so it took awhile.

I had the beet waffle which tasted a lot like a normal whole grain waffle. The plating was very nice on all the dishes we had. Brother had the morning toast which he really liked and my niece had the breakfast burrito.

Please go! I took my kids and we loved it! So excited to have a healthier option closer to East Limestone. We had avocado toast, kids quesadillas, veggie bowl.. all great. My 8 year old needed more food... so I gave her some avocado toast and some of my bowl and she surprisingly liked it too!

Best food you can possibly get! Ridiculously healthy and even more tasty! The atmosphere is incredible. Full dopamine shot to your brain.

Stopped in for coffee and to try out this new place after hearing good reviews. There was an employee in the food prep area who made eye contact but otherwise wouldn't acknowledge me. No other employees were to be found. I eventually left. I am certain they were open for business as there were three or four people at tables and it was just after nine o'clock. I can't imagine they will do well if there is no customer service.

High quality food, moderate prices, sluggish service.

We ordered Fruit toast (toasted with nut butter, chia seeds, and sliced Fruit), a chocolate waffle, and a beet waffle with a single drip coffee. Also, a side of eggs, over medium.

45 minutes later, the order came out incorrect and by individual orders (we watched another table, with two couples, get individual meals 10 minutes apart).

The syrup was severely rationed (less than 1 TBS). All-in-all, the food was good - the best eggs I've ever had in a restaurant. This should not have taken an hour.

Pro: when the original order was delayed, they comp'ed an extra fruit toast. My blood sugar was low and I needed food quick.

Con: It was evident there were items missing, and the answer was (twice) "it's coming". It had not been started - "it's coming" is technically correct, but not what I wanted to hear.

Veteran owned, Locally owned. I got a decaf Americano and it was great. Food looked and smelled wonderful. Friendly folks, great service. Let's support these folks!

Love this place. Innovative, healthy food for breakfast and lunch. Presentation is great and service is super. Surprised to find this place in a Madison stripmall instead of Lowe Mill or Stovehouse.

What a great place! Whenever an owner takes a present and personal interest, I know I m going to have a good experience. Fresh Start is no exception. Welcome to the neighborhood, I ll be back again and again for quality, tasty, and healthy food. The service is great too. And I m not a relative or friend (Well I guess a new friend). Treat yourself and give it a try.

Went for lunch with my husband. Really nice atmosphere and no issues with service. The food and coffee was delicious. My only issue is it's relatively overpriced for a lunch place. I am all about paying more for natural and healthy ingredients but I couldn't justify returning for 2 people to eat at that price.

Such a great place! The food is seriously INCREDIBLE! It s all so delicious and healthy. They even have CBD creamer you can put in your coffee and MCT oil too. Their Blue Sky Bowl is to die for and their breakfast burritos are the best yet. They also have an incredible Keto Coffee. I m not usually a huge fan of keto coffee but theirs is so good! Patty, the owner, is also such a sweetheart!

The best matcha latte I ve ever had! The power bowl and purple rain organic smoothie was amazing! The atmosphere is amazing! I highly recommend that anyone who cares about what they eat should try this place!

Firstly, it needs to be said that these are the kinds of businesses Huntsville needs more of. It s a small space with character, and the food is awesome. I had a primal bowl (quinoa bowl with steak, vegetables, and sauce). The drip coffee was excellent too. They also have free wifi and a quiet setting. Although the prices are on the high side, they are certainly justified by the superior quality food, conscientious menu options, and friendly service. I wouldn t hesitate to recommend this place to a friend.

A breath of fresh air for Madison Alabama. The food was excellent, the Ambiance was great. The restaurant is open and Airy, and the vibe in the place is exceptional!

Super cute place with really really good food! The Grilled Chicken Panini was amazing and they custom made me an off menu Strawberry Smoothie which was so good!

The cafe just opened. They are working out the rhythm and flow of service still but the folks are very friendly. The food is fresh, organic, and there are some interesting options. I had the Beet Waffle with seasonal fruit and a "shroom brew", while my friend had the Breakfast Burrito. My daughter ate every bite of her Cheese Quesadilla and fresh fruit! They have food options that include salmon, avocodo, quinoa bowls, etc. Great place to sit and work on your laptop or read. I'll be back!

I love Fresh Starts Cafe! It's hard to find a restaurant with unique items and the quality of ingredients FSC does. I live a very active lifestyle, and love that I can go somewhere to get a snack and feel better after eating it! The menu and coffee selection is great. Don't miss out!

This place has a great atmosphere. The seating is comfortable and the all window front floods the place with wonderful natural light. You can definitely tell all the food is fresh (from the name and decor you would expect nothing less). I have been here several times and will return in the future. I am a person al fan of the smoked salmon toast. I also really love their panini bread.

The price is a little on the high side (and I can see why because of the ingredient quality) but I would not be able to go here as often as I'd like. Also, the waffle was quite dry but it definitely tasted like matcha.

Side notes: it is very instagramable and smells like a Capri Blu candle

My boyfriend and I have visited twice so far, and both visits were enjoyable! The staff is amazingly friendly, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I have so far tried the power bowl, steak burrito (recommended), and the purple rain smoothie. My boyfriend had the breakfast burrito and the "Earth" smoothie bowl. It was all delicious! It is definitely a place to visit if you're trying to eat healthier. The wait time is a little long, but they cook everything fresh so it's a small price to pay for healthier food. The actual price is a little expensive, but no different from going to a normal sit down restaurant. If you want cheap, you'll have to stick to fast food. I hope this restaurant does well!

A wonderful cafe with amazing coffee, delicious foods that never disappoint me, and friendly employees willing to connect with their customers! The cafe is always very clean and I come constantly for their sandwiches and coffees!

Absolutely the best place for food and coffee in Madison! I would show you a picture of my bacon panini, but I ate it. We are new to town and this has rapidly become our favorite place. Vibe is very bohemian, but not cluttered. Just love everything about it

I have tried this place 3 times, each experience was the same. My order was either wrong or forgotten.
The order taker didn t seem to know how to work the register or know what was on the menu. She got easily confused with only 3 items on our order.
The 2nd time our order took 35 min to get to our table and there were only 2 other customers in the restaurant. How long does it take to make a smoothly or some avocado toast?
The most unpleasant part of each visit was the smell or disinfectant or cleanser throughout the entire restaurant.
I only returned each time, but not by choice.
I will not return. Prices are too high, quality & quantity, not great. Service is horrible. Thus place needs much improvement for what they charge.

It looks like a nice environment but if you have dairy restrictions, it's not the place to go.

Fresh & flavorful with thoughtful, high-quality ingredients. Several vegan and easily converted vegatarian options on the menu. Service was friendly and the wait was very reasonable on a Tues morning. The person who rang me up was fully knowledgeable about ingredients and patiently answered my questions. The ambiance is great too, floor to ceiling windows, chill tunes, and modern decor with a boho-industrial vibe. I ordered fruit toast went back for avocado toast. At first glance, I felt the fruit one was a little high in price, and the avocado one was a little low. Together they averaged out, imho. Both were presented with simply state elegance, tasted great, and banished any thoughts of not being a good value on first bite. The fruit was at peak flavor & freshness, the bread on the fruit toast was thick & perfectly crisped, and the seasoning of the avocado toast was super satisfying. The ginger tea was lovely and it was so nice to have stevia as a sweetener option. Will definitely be back with the rest of my family!

Great restaurant conveniently located off of highway 72 in Madison. The spot had a great ambience, clean, plus great natural lighting, and comfortable seating. The place just open a few weeks prior to our visit so we did not have the opportunity to check out the menu. When saw it we were blown away by the number of great options. We decided with the blue sky bowl(highly recommended) and the beets waffle along with a few other choices. This restaurant was definitely needed in the Madison area.

I will never be coming back to this place. Instead of handling a customer's issue with respect, the owner called named and made jokes. When multiple people stood up to the owner he deleted the comments but did not apologize. When multiple people started to comment they turned off their Facebook page. That is not how you handle this business.

And yes while the food is good it is over priced but I loved all the effort Patty put into it.

But now, no I'll never go back.

We did our womens group here!! Talking about top service and the time to make sure they deliver all items in the most memorable way possible. Tacos were great tasting. The setting was really modern. Try it!

My wife and I met a friend here for breakfast today. Our friend had been once before and recommended it to us. We loved it! There menu is filled with creative options, most (or maybe all?) of which are available in a gluten free and/or vegan option. My wife and our friend both had the avocado toast. I had an amazing breakfast burrito wrapped in a fresh, handmade corn tortilla. We both enjoyed an Americano, brewed with Prevail Coffee (from Montgomery) on a classic La Marzocco machine.
The cafe has a great vibe and is relatively large, open, and bright. I often work out of the office, and I'll definitely come back here to hang out and work for a few hours.

Super cute cafe with very delicious "hipster" type dishes. I tried the breakfast burrito and got the kids fresh starts breakfast for a 3 year old, both were awesome! Their waffles are soooo good!

We love this place! Great food and coffee! Oh and their breakfast burrito is pure gold.

Lunch here was pretty good! The Horchata Latte was excellent, and the fajitas I got were well seasoned and cooked well with nice presentation, though missing a bright flavor to balance out the dish. Something like lime juice or pico would have made it top notch.

The quantity is on the lighter side for an American restaurant, but that's fine by me. The staff is pretty new and is not a well-oiled machine yet, but they were courteous and informative. I'll return.

Terrific breakfast! I think the salsa was freshly made and the gluten free chocolate chip waffle was phenomenal! Ambience and presentation are fantastic. Two suggestions: 1. Advertise like crazy since you're tucked away and kind of hidden on 72. 2. Invest in plate warmers. My breakfast burrito was delicious but a little cold, and I think it's because it was served on a cold plate. Otherwise, I'd give this place five stars. If you haven't already, go check it out!

Excellent tasting healthy food that is well plated by a lovely staff. This little gem does indeed provide a fresh start for the early riser or lunch goer here in Madison. Price is mid-range, but the unique menu and quality food make it worth the expense. Lack of frontage means short lines, but not for long. This place is sure to build in popularity as word gets around - so long as the new team can keep up with rising demand and keep wait times down. This cafe is definately a must on any discerning diner's early day rotation.

Fantastic food, wonderful staff, and an amazing atmosphere!!! I can't recommend Fresh Starts more highly. The coffee was amazing and the waffles were so good I could't believe I had been thinking about going to a breakfast chain! The owners are also highly knowledgeable about all their products. I purchased a mushroom tea and they discussed the product with me at length. In all I could not be happier and I will be back!
