Probably my favorite wine in all of SA wine country. Everything they have should get a gold medal. Rich and tasty red wines, all of them spectacular. Their pinot noir is my favorite, but the cabernet sauvignon is really solid as well. Try them all!!!

Fantastic wines, amazing food - but book in advance be warned- with fantastic views. There is also a contemporary art museum. You can also take a look into the cellar. International wines generally available, but with current exchange rate, the selection has dwindled. Worth a visit. Menu at restaurant changes seasonally.

Everything about this wine estate is amazing! Amazing and interesting food, excellent service, breathtaking views over the vineyards. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area and like fine dining. Their desert menu was so interesting and delicious with even a gin and tonic desert to choose from.

An excellent award-winning vineyard nestled between blue mountain ranges and lush vineyards. The view from the outside deck is breathtaking. R100 for a wine tasting of your own selection of 5 exquisite wines. Favorites were the crispy Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, and Merlot. Our waiter, Jan, was professional and evidently has relevant wine knowledge. He could answer all our questions and promoted the unique farm in a passionate way. We visited their on-site art gallery. A contemporary exhibition of karakul, fabric, and wool tapestries. Perfectly curated by the art gallery manager. Looking forward to their upcoming exhibits.

For years I have driven pass this vineyard!!What was wrong with me...It is such a beautiful place with wine that is made in the room next to heaven and views from the tasting room that invites you to stay longer and in winter a fireplace that keeps the chill of winter outside.Claire was a stunning wine ambassador and she knows her wine all to well. The art inside is beautiful and next time I will have to book for lunch..

I'd highly recommend a work or afternoon stop at Glen Carlou. There's an amazing view from the deck. Wine and food pairing was on-point, and reasonably priced. Also, support local wine farmers and #drinksouthafrican :)

Panoramic views over Paarl vinyards and mountains. Has upmarket restaurant where bookings are essential. We browsed through the large art gallery and enjoyed a wine tasting on the viewing deck. The Grand Classique Bordeaux Blend and Gravel Quarry Cab Sav stood out, but the Classique is by far the best value for money. Recommended.

One of the most wonderful places ever. Always worth a first-class memory even after a few months. Food and service perfect and then this view from the terrace. Take your chance if you can. And if you have the opportunity, be sure to take a look at the gallery! Another 1000 thanks to the gallery manager.

Had an absolutely amazing lunch at Glen Carlou. The food was incredible and so tasty. The wine paired with the food was spot. Desert was to die for. Wish I can eat here everyday with the incredible view that goes with it. Complements to the shefs on a job well done!

What a treat! The service was unfeigned friendly and good. One of the only restaurants (I'm aware of) where the wine on the menu are sold at cellar price. The wine pairing options contributed to a wonderful culinary experience. Big fan!

We love Glen Carlou. They have superb wines, and really great staff, always friendly, know what they are selling to you, and will give their personal opinion about a wine, something that we really appreciate before buying a bottle. They also have one of the best views in the wine lands. We have not eaten at the restaurant however, so can't give an opinion about that.

Found our way into this wine estate and were absolutely amazed at the view from the wine tasting area and restaurant. Being seated at a table inside or outside with a view of the valley is just mind boggling. Found a few good wines to purchase. This is definitely a place we will go to again.

Picturesque view and good wine for my first Glen Carlou experience on 22 August 2020, however what disappointed me was the service and presentation of good wine and still got wine spilled on me during presentation. I will elaborate further more to whomever contacts me. Regards

After being cooped up as long as we have, visiting Glen Carlou was a breath of fresh air and a joy to our taste buds. The restaurant practices excellent social distancing and we felt very comfortable. On arrival we were well taken care of and as one of our party was a loyalty member, we were offered a tasting. A complimentary appetizer was offered as we made our way through 5 excellent wines. My main course was an absolutely delicious roasted Pork Belly served with veges and potato wedges. We could not resist ordering a side plate of the wedges and managed to polished off the lot. This was followed by a decadent plate of dark chocolate, mascarpone and lemon curd dessert. Staff were busy but attentive and the service was excellent. I left after signing up as a loyalty member, ready to enjoy the various discounts Glen Carlou offers on meals, wines and shop items.

Excellent food and a fantastic view, what more can one ask for. Prices are competitive with wine estates in the area. Wide selection of food on offer and wine tasting available. Request a table on the balcony as the views are epic!
