There is no other pizza in ABQ just sad substitutions. I drive across town for this pie and will continue to do so... Thank you sir, may I have another.

Best pizza in ABQ. I'm originally from the tri-state area, and this is the good stuff. It took 10 years and 2 cities after leaving New Haven to find anything matching Sally's, and ABQ did it.
Great food, better price, nice atmosphere. 6 Stars.
I m an independent contractor, and I pick-up and deliver food to customers. I rate restaurants and fast food places based (ONLY) on professionalism, cleanliness, speed, accuracy, and extra services.
This store received 5 STARS for meeting all expectations above. Mr. Giovanni himself was running the store tonight. Well behaved crews, clean and quick service.
I don't always eat pizza but when I do it's usually the best I can find.
Brought my mom for mothers day....the pizza was the best ive had since leaving the East Coast and the cannoli was amazing.....this is definately our new spot!!!!
I am giving this place a solid 3/5 because the only thing they lived to was the pizza. The pizza was indeed delicious and great seasoning and overall taste. The cheese bread was a little too toasted for our liking. The wings had a great taste but too soggy. Would like to see them be more crispy and perhaps made on an air fryer might give it that extra crispness. We asked for a chocolate scone that there was an image of it wrapped up like a burrito and they gave us pudding. Absolutely dishearted with the dessert. The dessert was something that I could have bought at a one dollar store. If we go back we will only be buying the pizza.
Tried going here after reading good reviews. Very greasy and nasty pizza. Would definitely not recommend and do not plan on going again
One of my favorite places for pizza. Delicious as always.
They are "The Best Pizza in ABQ and all of New Mexico". Over the last seven years this place has been consistant in quality and value, it costs more because it is better. The location can be questioned as other businesses have left/failed. Near the base, with a military discount. As with every resturaunt in NM, they have green chile! They were my last meal by choice before I moved away. Thank you Giovanni's!
Giovanni's was as good as advertised. The sauce was great on the pizza, the crust was crispy and the salad was fresh and cold. The service was great, I will be visiting again when I am in the area.
Staff was rude when I called even the manager was rude because I asked about specials or coupons.they told me to Google "giovannis coupon I asked why they couldn't just explain the coupons they have instead of me having to sort through the 20 different results I saw when doing what they told me which was to "Google giovannis coupons" and was then hung up on by the manager
They put actual cut up CHICKEN NUGGETS on our pizza. It was somehow both burnt and soggy. Looking at it made me lose my appetite. You're better off sticking to pizza hut for lower prices and better pizza.
The pizza is incredible and the cheesecake is excellent. it doesn't really matter that they don't make their own cheesecake I guess but I would like to see them make it. I'm sure they could do better. Overall though, it's the best pizza in the city!
This was the worst pizza and eggplant Parmesan I have ever had all three people who ate it got sick like food poisoning never been that sick from food before. The reviews I read said the best in town what a lie.and very high priced on a list from 1 to 10 I give it a 0
People argue about the "best" and "most authentic". I don't know about that but Giovanni's is my favorite place for a slice.
Little hole in the wall with some of the best pizza in Albuquerque.
Took my date to enjoy pizza by the slice and a huge spinach calzone. Nice atmosphere.
Lives up to its reputation. Best pizza in New Mexico
Pizza was good, Canadian bacon was too sweet, gave pizza an odd flavor.
All the Food is absolutely delicious and best pizza in town!
The best in town! Closest thing to New York pizza this side of the Mississippi.
The BEST of everything ever, best pizza, best desserts, just, everyone gots to try it, makes the drive there worth it's while everytime!!
good new york style pizza. only thing I can complain about is that the toppings arent cooked together with the pizza
Great thin crust pizza with quality toppings and sauces! A must eat if you like pizza.
My favorite!!!! Our family can't wait for pizza night every week!! Super friendly staff
best pizza ive had in my life. i moved away and im in a new town. i tried most pizza there and nothing comes close. if i could i would go back to NM to eat there again. Hi rizorio (sorry if i misspelled your name) :)>
It's literally just cheese bread with no sauce. It's good cheese bread but it's not pizza.
Some reviews said this was not a great place and had not so great service. The pizza is excellent, the guys working were extremely friendly. This is great pizza, even compared to where we come from and there are a lot of NY Style places. It's a hole in the wall, but the food is great. People who complain about a little grease on their pizza don't know what real pizza is about, and many great restaurants go to an hour wait or stop delivery on a Friday night, so it's not an unusual thing unless they are totally geared up for 7 night a week heavy business. Deal with it and drive to pick it up!
Simply OUTSTANDING PIZZA! Just like back in NYC. REAL NEW YORK PIZZA!
Excellent authentic NYC slice pizza. This coming from a native New Yorker! The best pizza in New Mexico.
I've lived in the neighborhood for a decade now and I finally stopped in I found out I've been missing out on this treasure if you haven't tried it you are missing out on the best Pizza ever.
Amazing pizza. Pretty decent hot wings. Staff is always super friendly and order is usually ready in a timely manner.
Great food. great people
And WiFi rocks too
Excellent thin crust pizzas. It's a dive but well worth your time.
5 stars for taste and texture. This place does pizza right. I can't add much more than what the reviews already say. However, i'm born and raised in NY and it needs to be said and they should almost lose a star! - Pizza is supposed to be cut into 8 slices! and if you're not going to cut the pizza into 8 slices, you gotta read the comments and requests for your orders.
I'd rather a mediocre pizza somewhere else than delicious pizza that looks like it's been sliced for a class of preschoolers!
all that being said - Giovanni's crust and sauce are so spot on that despite the million slice faux pas is acceptable.
Thanks for being one of the few pizza places bringing proper NYC slices to ABQ.
It s was just ok. Greasy for sure. I will keep looking for ABQ s best pizza. This was not it for us.
I went...2nd person in line. Placed my order and sat... and sat. 3 patrons got their food before me. One of those seemed to have placed their order earlier. Because 2 of those patrons were already finished, I looked in the back and saw an order...waiting. I wondered if it were mine, but the busy man was taking order after order, I assumed it was not mine. Especially because another man was bringing other orders out. I finally got up and waited to speak, but the busy man continued to take orders. He finally went to the back, but didn't get the pizza from up top. He took another order then went back again, gave the order to the people in the back... by chance he looked at the pizza-waiting up there and brought it up... he said, Sorry About That, then immediately began taking orders again. Gosh! Wow. I'm a quiet person, but wished I was loud and rude , demanding at least an apologetic soda, or maybe parmesan and red pepper flakes to go with my pizza!
There's a bright side, people. My pizza was cool enough to eat when I got it home. It was tasty.
People said this was best pizza in ABQ. Now I haven't tried them all but I will say it was awesome. Perfect crust, cheese and sauce!
Truly a no frill's NY style pie. Outstanding pizza in the desert. If doing to-go I highly recommend reheating in the oven at 425 for a few minutes to recapture that out of the oven taste and texture. Either use a pizza stone or go directly on the rack with some foil on the rack below. Hand's down my favorite pizza joint in town.
To start, the service was awesome. The food was good and fair priced. The neighborhood is a little sketchy. Will be back.
Food was delicious I has lasagna my girlfriend had pizza
Giovanni's has the best pizza in the universe! Definitely worth driving across town!
I have always loved this place. Staff, food, and atmosphere are always excellent.
Worst experience ever. Have been coming to this location for years. We call our order in ahead of time they tell us 15 minutes get to location they one did not get order right when we asked for order to be repeated how I ended up with two slices and not a whole pie beats me. Then we had to wait for an entire pizza to be prepared and made. Witch by the way isn't even cooked right. By time we take it home our calzones are soggy cold and not even worth the 72 dollars spent. Highly disappointed this go round. It's not worth calling the location cause I live nearly 7 miles away!! For what to get cold pizza again. It literally looks like it came out of a box and cooked in a microwave cheese not even melted, twice the sauce and cold!!
The baked ziti is probably the best I've had in a while. Well done Giovanni's. However the sauce for the pizza and spaghetti and meatballs balls needs either more meat or robust flavor. Thank you for a good lunch experience.
Friendly, good service great food. Favorite Pizza in NM, authentic NY style
From Santa Fe, NM. We were told from friends that have eaten pizza here that it was TOPS! They were right! Thousand thumbs up!!!
From happy customers!!!
I was looking for a delicious pizza with hatch chilis, and this place delivered! Well not literally, I asked if they delivered at they said no, so I drove over there at tried it out. It was really great. They have a lot of newspaper clippings about various accolades they have won, and it appears to be well deserved. I would definitely recommend Giovanni's to someone looking for a thin crust pie in Albuquerque.
Quick, yummy. Had the white pie. Called ahead and it was ready when I arrived.
I consider myself a Pizza connoisseur and this place pretty much lived up to its reputation as one of the best. Saggio's is still my all time favorite though.
Wow..most excellent..
1st time visit..
Thanks
One of my favorite pizza places! Everything I've had is great but the cheese bread and marinara is my favorite!
Life long Albuquerque resident and I have to say it is the BEST PIZZA I have ever had. Sauce tastes great, dough is just the right thickness and the ingredients were fresh. I have had their salad and it was good as well as the cannoli which is very good too. If your looking for a fancy over priced dinner place this is not it. This is a real family owned place for over 25 years and the photos on the walls shows that. Would have been going here a long time ago if I had known it was here. Wish the restaurant was closer to my house but quality of the pizza makes it worth the drive.
The sauce is soooooo good!! Great customer service too!!
Best darn classic italian NY style pizzeria around! and even better than nyc, because it can have NM green chile!
The pizza was great! What killed thos place was that when you ask for ranch they give you packets of hidden valley.... Eeewwww common go the extra mile here you got the pizza down now get the Ranch dressing to go with it.
I saw the great ratings and figured I d give it a try, definitely worth it. Super good pizza and service was nice and fast.
