Tasty ice cream and the rotating flavours are nice.

If you love icecream and don't really care otherwise (price), Giapo is the place for you! Amazing flavours and cones!

This is no ordinary ice cream shop, don't go here expecting to get a cheap ice cream you go here for i the delicious experience and to give your taste buds an explosion,you don't see the ice cream it's all about the flavour combinations and trusting the judgment. In my pictures o got he chocolate hard cup, coat extra but so well worth it.

It has ice-cream! Which is great, except I can't eat dairy...
BUT NEVER FEAR! For they have dairy-free and vegan options!

All of them are true creations and a definite eye catcher, when you're walking down the street with a selfie-cone.

Always hella expensive, but SO worth it. The RICHEST ice-cream, Everytime. So flavour-heavy. So delectable.

The fanciest and most extraordinary ice cream shop I have ever been to. The waffles are unique and the ice cream is fantastic. Expensive ice cream but can only recommend to try it. You won't be disappointed.

Best Gelato in town. Love the giapo bueno. Super busy at times. They offer you water and little treats to try while you wait.

The hostess was very nice and let us sample all the ice cream varieties.

It is a culinary experience, prices range from 10 to 45 dollars NZ, you can try all the flavors and choose the variety of cones that are the specialty of the place, the ice creams are large so it is advisable if you buy a special ice cream share it (vote the half of my ice cream)

Got very disappointed today, we arrived there from Henderson to try their ice cream. We arrived quite early at 11:40, so we were waiting on a bench for 35 min more as it is said they are opened from 12:15. At 12:15, a lady came out and said they will be opened at 1pm as there is a meeting there. So the question is: Why you hadn t put any notice on the door about that, so we wouldn t have waited for half an hour?

What an experience! After being ushered in you are given a detailed tasting of all of the flavours on offer. This gives the opportunity for some great interactions with your fellow visitors. You are then able to choose the flavour you prefer which is then garnished with a unique topping. Absolutely recommend, and it is a fantastic time for kids.

The word "experience" probably doesn't come to mind when you think about an ice cream shop. However, Giapo truly is a unique experience. The gelato is legit, too!

Gimmicky. This place exists for those Instagram likes. Their is nine choices of flavour, with various toppings..lots of pigeons in the outdoor seating area. Enjoyed the free sparkling water. Would have liked a tap to wash hands. Not somewhere you should go wearing nice trousers

The amazing ice cream heaven they have small shop but huge heart. They are from Italy and they create their own flavours and design taste chocolate everything there is very mesmerizing because they don't want to copy anyone every copies them. Giapo is the owner and ice cream designer name. They have amazing flavours you name it they have . They have eggless icecream made from fruits extracts when you taste them you can't tell the difference . And according to their taste the price is extremely low and you can only know all of this if you have been to giapo the ice cream heaven .

Highly recommend their dark chocolate! Staff are very friendly as well!

Yum yum yum. The gelato is good. But since they changed owners it is expensive. On the weekend and Fri night there is always a queue, but it moves pretty fast. The flavours change regularly and the servers are good. Just don't expect to get a seat.

Fantastic creative ice cream! Very imaginative combinations. They are not just scooped, they are crafted. Vegan varieties are available too. The line was out the door but worth the wait. Fabulous place to stop in on a Sunday afternoon. Thanks to Elle from Big Foody Tours for introducing me to this great spot in the Aucklabd CBD.

At Giapo you don't just get icecream, you get an experience!
From the moment you walk through the door the staff are so warm and friendly. There was a bit of a queue but we were given complimentary chocolate while we waited and the line moved quickly.
The staff were so knowledgeable and patient while we sampled every single flavour and you could tell they were very passionate about their product.
The icecream itself is very rich and delicious, and so beautifully presented its very hard to choose!
I will definitely be back and recommend it to all visitors to Auckland

The gelato was absolutely amazing - decadent, beautiful, and a life changing experience for your taste buds. The gelato menu items were very visually appealing and detailed! However, I was a little disappointed with the prices, because I went expecting to try the giant squid, but quickly changed my mind to get just a cup after I saw how expensive it was. It s definitely more of an experience. Regardless, do yourself and your taste buds a favor and go!

And the other is a ice cream that is put into a Maori style bread. It was really good

OK, so you should go once. It's a bit special, and if you're in Auckland, you might as well try it. I can't give it a high rating though - the flavours are good, but there are better, the experience amounts to a tasting, then an interesting arrangement of ice-cream that you'll make a mess of yourself eating, and pay more than average for. I think the idea is good and it's fun as a one-time thing, instagram food kind of thing, but that's only really worth it once. If you buy one of the big sculptures, bring friends or you'll make yourself sick trying to eat it. It really is more about the look than the flavour I'm afraid. Most of the time I'd be happier with a regular waffle cone at a regular price.

Very tasty ice cream with very limited but luxurious flavors. It was certainly a novel experience spending >$10 on a single cone that was crazily decked out in chocolate, honey comb, the works. The whole place feels a little gimmicky but it's still a fun experience if you don't mind the price.

Great for photos, impossible to eat. By the time I got my huge chocolate-encased unwieldy cone, it was pouring melted ice cream down my hand. Very gimmicky with whole donuts on top, not very memorable flavor.

Quite an experience... don't go expecting a quick ice cream fix; it's so much more than that.

Definitely worth a visit! Before you buy anything, there is an ice cream tasting, where you can taste all varieties for free. Then the order will be added where you can choose between different waffles / cups and topings. It is a bit more expensive, but it is worth the money! Only card payment is possible.

Culinary delight, ice cream is now a form of art, art cream , decadent and sinfully delicious.

Hands down the best gelato we've ever had. The staff was so friendly and after mentioning that we were on our honeymoon, they surprised me with a chocolate heart that said "congrats" written on it on top of my cone!

A unique ice cream experience at a price, plenty of free testers to taste, but if you're feeling lavish give it a try.

You may spend a long time waiting - but I must say it's worth it. Giapo is certainly like nothing you've ever had before. Not only is the ice cream delicious and so different, the experience that you go through before purchasing your ice cream is so unique. We had a really great time at giapo and we will return when we're back in Auckland! Loved the unique ice cream flavours too and the many different options for your cones!!! They also cater to the vegan community and have a few vegan options - which are as delicious as the real deal!

Very red 3D printed ice cream. The store is not big but not difficult to find, the price is not cheap but the weight is quite good.
