Great pizza and seafood, nice atmosphere for lunch or a date

We love, love, love Gianna's Pizzeria! The buffalo wings are a serving of 10 and they are excellent. They are fried, not breaded, and served in a buffalo sauce. They are not the small wing-dings that you get most places, they are a good size for the price. We also love the garlic knots. They are delicious! The bread is always baked perfectly. They have butter, garlic, and sprinkle of cheese on them. Served fresh from the oven with a delicious tomato sauce. Yum! Makes my mouth water just talking about them. I try a different pasta dish every time I go and they have all been excellent so far. I had the lasagna today. So good. It's layered with ricotta cheese and meat sauce and they bake it with lots of cheese on top. Comes out bubbling hot, and it's so delicious. The spaghetti with meat sauce is always a go-to favorite. We like the pizza and stromboli too. The dough they use for the bread and pizza is excellent. They have subs too. They are stuffed full and taste delicious. If we are craving pasta we head to Gianna's...even thought it's about 45 minutes from our house. It's worth the trip every time.

Terrible. I can't figure this place out. Perfectly cooked pasta, tasty marinara sauce, and no fresh grated parmesan? I asked the server for some fresh grated parmesan, and she came back with a shaker bottle saying this was just opened. What did they open? A green canister?

You get your money's worth at Gianna's! The staff is masked up and they have 50% capacity inside and they also have outside seating. We felt safe and had delicious food in generous portions. Definitely going back!

Stuffed is the correct word on how I felt. I ended up going here for lunch right when they opened. Our waitress was very nice. I asked about specials and they had so many but there wasn't a print out ready yet. I ended up getting the fried moz. They were pretty good but they were "mind blowing omg I have to come back" I also got the lunch special lasagna. It was good and filled my craving for lasagna. The services was great, but it gets 4 because of the prices.

This is the most authentic NY style pizza, outside NY! I m a native New Yorker, so I ve tried a lot of pizza. The service is fast and efficient. Everyone is friendly and there is a nice selection of menu items to choose from aside from pizza. It s our go to place. You must give it a try!

pretty good nothing really exceptional anout this place. The chicken cheese steak was blah not enough seasoning. The cheese calzone had a poor bread to cheese ratio. The pizza is great though!!

The food is average, good. The owners wife fussing out a staff member, and the kids going back and forth from behind the counter was uncomfortable to witness. But it's the PRICES! Holy cow is this place OVER PRICED! Absolutely do not recommend this place. Just no.

Our go to place since we moved to northern Suffolk. Their lunch specials are tasty and cooked fresh At dinner we share the carrot cake with our friends. Huge piece of cake with caramel drizzle. Their Sub"s are to die for!

Excellent linguine and red clam sauce. They are generous with the clams and the portion was "just enough". The bottle of Chianti was a good pairing. The service was timely, not rushed or slow.

Really good crust. Giannasspecial was really good. Greek salad very good. Why 3 stars? There is NO website. Frustrating trying to figure out what to order. Finally called to place an order and ask questions about toppings. Buffalo chicken pizza was minimally spiced.

I went with a large birthday group. The waitresses were so friendly and accurate. Treat yourself to one of their specials as I did or order from the menu. So yummy!

Garlic knots were laying in oil and tasted stale. Very disappointing. Pizza was decent.

Only glad it's not closer because I'd be eating there all the time and packing more pounds on. Pasta is great, pizza is the best in Hampton Roads and the bread is incredible. If you plan to eat here, keep the rest of your meals carb-free and then splurge and enjoy at Gianna's!

Lately the food has been goung down hill i think the pizza is the best in this area but the cheese steak they really need to stop making it no one there seems to beable to make one at one point it was very good but my last two didnt do it so i tried again tonite and this was a carry out get home and cheese steak donf havw cheeae on it so that was a toral waste of my hard earned money will be back but not for the cheese steak

The service was ok. Th pizza however just seemed the crust was brown and cheese was melt but all the veggies were basically still in the raw crunchy state which I did not like.

Have been here only a couple of times but it is close to home & absolutely delicious. A bit on the pricy side but good food always is. Would definitely reccomend going here.

Always good. I've had many different dishes on the menu and the pizza is great. It can be very busy at times.

Med-Rare Tuna over their Caesar Salad is as good as lunch gets. Iced tea is top notch. Servers are very good. Only downside is the time it takes, from walking in to walking out.... if lunch could occur in a little bit more timely manner, I would be tempted to eat here daily.

We have been customers for 29 years. We always enjoyed the stromboli. Tonight was a turn around. First we almost left because of the really bad smell. Waitress moved us. After we ate a couple pieces of stromboli, we noticed it was uncooked, raw. Waitress got manager. Manager suggested to put the eaten stromboli back in the oven, gross cross contamination and give us 10% off, less than 3.00 dollars. We asked if she would take 1/2 off. She said she could not do that. The worst part is she told us not to come back.

Food was ok... the bill came. I gave them a cc and cash tip to which 7 cents was supposed 2b to the bill so my card would b charged an even amount $55. Not ($55.07) I kno....but I always make my payments even or pay the difference in cash...it makes balancing so much easier....

I love the sandwiches! The food is great and it always comes quickly. A great spot for lunch or dinner. Nice selection of drinks and various entrees as well.

Busy Saturday night. Never been here and wanted something Italian and local. Very clean (restaurant and bathrooms) and service great. Food was amazing. They have a brick oven and in my opinion, that's the only way to cook a pizza. Way to go!

Gianna's is my favorite restaurant in the Suffolk area. I go here frequently for special occasions with family and friends and after seeing a movie at the Regal Cinema. The menu is wide ranging and the pizza is equal to New York's. Had pizza with mushrooms and sausage recently and really enjoyed it. I also recommend the fried oysters and the blackened crab meat and scallops. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable and spacious. A five star experience!

Fresh clam strip appetizer was delicious. The serving so large, that I brought my dinner home. Highly recommended. Service was on point!

Pizza was good, but employees need to improve their customer service skills when taking telephone orders. The employee whom took my order was rude and arrogant.

Pizza was very bad here. Crust was flavourless and toppings tasted old. The manager suggested that it was my expectations that were the issue...

Absolutely loved the service and atmosphere, but for $70 the food was terrible. The chicken was dry and the ricotta cheese was cold on both the pizza and in the shells. Would not reccomend to anyone, I really hope this was just one bad experience but I don't think it was.

Ordered buffalo shrimp, instead received shrimp with melted butter. I also ordered a bacon steak & cheese and chicken & cheese sub and both were soggy and a bit tasteless. It was 40 minutes before closing but I still would not recommend this restaurant

We had a bad experience a couple of years ago but decided to give it a try again tonight. We were again disappointed. We sat behind the hostess desk and couldn't get past the what's best described as high school drama. It was annoying to listen to.
I ordered pasta alfredo with a side caesar salad. The salad was very good. The alfredo looked like it was cooked the day before and heated up. It was so oily. Now I know alfredo sauce is cooked with butter and cream and i expect it to be oily but I have never had it where it was not even creamy. It really looked like I ordered it yesterday and reheated in the microwave at home. I could have made jar alfredo sauce and it would have tasted better. My husband ordered the gianna special chicken cheesesteak sandwich with fries. When it was brought out it looked delicious but realized it was steak not chicken. So of course another had to be made. When it came out the sandwich didn't look at delicious at the steak, you knew it was rushed to be made because of the mistake. No one even came over besides the waitress to apologize for the error and that my husband had to watch me eat while we waited for his food. Our meal came to almost $50, including our 1/2 order of garlic knots and 1 soda. Way over priced in my opinion and again highly disappointed in the food. I for sure will never return for a 3rd chance.

This place is always cool to go with kids. The service is relatively fast and there is plenty of kids options.

Great service good atmosphere but the food was very bland not much flavor at all and nothing about the food tasted authentic. The chicken seemed like it was frozen. Needless to say me and my fiance were not impressed by the food at all.

My mother Maria, who was born in Sannicatro di Bari passed away earlier this week. She had always prepared traditional Italian meals. For her repass we decided to use Gianna's. I met with them to review their catering menu. They were courteous, kind and patient. Recommended some options and delivered an amazing spread. Our family enjoyed the entire meal and were able to appreciate that Sunday Italian authentic meal. Thank you!

The Very Best Food ... Really! Their garlic knots are better than anybody's I have tried. The lasagna is truly to die for! Lots of mozzarella! Unbelievable marinara sauce! I have NEVER had bad food or service here!

The food was delicious. The waitstaff was friendly and offered great service. We even talked to the manager letting him know that this place waa our first date and 5 years forward with 3 of those years being married, we just had to come back and everything was still wonderful!

Great Stromboli. Terrible service, stuck-up waitresses (literally with their noses in the air), bothered bartender (btw make sure you have your ID, even if you look elderly). idk, maybe I would get better service if I were an Italian bro with arm sleeve tattoos. Probably won't be back. May order to go though. Maybe.

This place is awesome! Quality ingredients and great service.......if you're in the Harbour view area, you've gotta try this place!!!! You won't be disappointed.

Best lasagna I've ever had! Excellent, family owned business. Good food made fresh by hand daily and you can tell. Service was impeccable; Kayla was wonderful. The owner was very kind; came by the table and chatted. Also, you get SO much of everything- main course, bread, butter, dressing. They don't skimp. Highly recommend!

Twice in a row Gianna's has let me down.
Can't say it's really bad... but it's no longer the place I can send anyone and know they'll be happy.

Amazing dinning experience! I would highly suggest this for any special occasion! The bar was good, the food was wonderful, in my experience the company was fantastic but that's up to you. ;) A must try for sure!

Went with some coworkers to take a break from a rough day. We were greeted with smiles and courtesy, and quickly shown to a table after being offered a choice of booth or not. At the entrance was a listing of a wide variety of lunch specials, with two instantly catching my eye. I knew it would be between the mussels marinara, or linguini with clam sauce.



With all that, one might think the prices would be high, but we found them to be reasonable for what we got. Needless to say, I will return to try the other lunch specials, or to at least have the mussels marinara again.

Gianna's Pizzeria is a very good restaurant. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is amazing, including their pasta and sandwich options. They also offer their menu items to go, which is a great option as well. They have a full bar and an assortment of fresh dessert options. You can take your desserts to go at the end of the meal if you're too full.
