I was being nice giving y'all one star. I have never spoken to anyone that stupid. I mean. God actually made you that way? This 30 year mechanic doesn't know how to change a tire. I am at awe.
Please refer to the review from Paul Williams, as I am his wife. After several trips to the county office, and a month of trying to get Gerald Jones to fix the issue with my plate, their final answer is that we need to pay $500 to transfer my title and add my name to the title. The title that they entered incorrectly. Their generous offer was that we could only pay $250 for the title transfer. I m good, thanks. I ll just continue to have a car in my husband s name, like I m a irresponsible child, rather than in my name as it should have been. My name was the primary on the purchase papers and there is no way I m giving Gerald Jones another penny to fix THEIR mistake. Will never buy another car from this dealership and will be sure to let anyone who asks know what I think of their customer service. Unbelievable.

As a first time car buyer Gerald Jones VW did a great job. Working with Dave and Victoria, they made this a very enjoyable experience. They were very helpful in helping me get the car I wanted and a price I could afford. When I came to the delivery, they made sure I was happy with the car and Dave did a great job with making sure I knew where and how everything worked inside the car. Awesome people to work with. Definitely an overall great buying experience. Very happy with my new 2017 VW Golf!!
Recently made a trade and dealt with Consuella. She is the most fun car salesperson ever!

I had a great car buying experience at Gerald Jones VW thanks to David Dutton and Rick Bowen. They both worked very hard to find the car that I wanted and at a price I was happy with. This is a very good dealership with very good people working there!
The worst car negotiating experience I've ever had in 3 decades of purchasing cars. The sales manager, Victoria McPhee, was extremely rude, condescending and basically called me a liar twice. I walked over to Honda and gave them my business and was treated with the respect and dignity any customer deserves. I emailed my displeasure to Ms. McPhee and she responded by addressing me informally and spelling my name incorrectly then stating she was sorry she did not exceed my expectations. I informed her that not only did she not exceed them, she didn't meet the minimal requirement expected of a sales manager looking to obtain my business. I am so appalled by how I was treated this is the first review I have ever written and I emailed the owner of the company, his partner and her boss.
UPDATE 3/18/2020: Melvin Barnes, General Manager at Gerald Jones, has responded to my comment stating they are going to make sure this happen again in the future, but no where did he state how he would resolve my situation. At a minimum, Gerald Jones should reimburse me for the out of pocket costs. I cannot express my complete and utter disappointment. Highway robbery and below par service.
UPDATE 3/17/2020: I took my non-functioning vehicle to mechanic in North Augusta and he fixed all of the problems Gerald Jones caused for $1,000 (Gerald Jones quoted me $2,200 to fix the problems they caused). Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere!
Do not use Gerald Jones for anything! I brought my Volkswagen in for a heater core recall, which was under warranty. The service advisor/technician told me that replacing my heater core would not fix my heater issues, but I insisted they replace it under warranty anyway. I now have $2,200 worth of damage to my water pump and timing belt, but I do have a heater that works great. Vehicle heavily leaks coolant now and also shuts off randomly. The incompetence I witnessed at Gerald Jones is unmatched. Great business practice to intentionally damage a customer s vehicle, not certain how they are still in business.
so far, 2 *is the most I can give. trying to get in contact with this dealership for 2 days as my insurance is requesting to know what bodyshop they use to send there my 2019 atlas. still waiting...
The only thing pleasant about this experience was dealing with the service lady at the counter. She was very professional and courteous. I booked an appointment for service at 10AM. I was there for two hours when she came out and said there were still three cars ahead of me. Not to mention when I first arrived I was notified that everything that was explained to me about my additional warranty was un true. Took a chance and came to the dealership to have my wife's brand new Atlas serviced. Why make an appointment if I still have to wait hours before work is even started?
Called several times to have a recall done on my car and to also have a key fob programmed. Everytime I call i get sent to voice mail and leave a message. This is over a 3 month span. Now my recall is coming to be void (letter states 30 days within receiving the recall that it needs to be completed or i may not be eligible for it)
I have now called atleast 10 times to have this done.
I won't be spending any money at this location and strongly recommend you don't either. Please find another vw location that actually values its customers. And will return their calls. And just just sell you a car and forget about you.

Yesterday I had the best car buying experience ever!! Ben really worked to get me the best deal and price he could to fit my needs. I felt really valued as a customer. Everyone there was nice and friendly and they explained everything to me. I will definitely be doing business with this dealership in the future!!

It's convenient. The waiting area was socially distanced. I can get an appointment when I need one.

I was an evacuee from Hurricane Florence, and even though I did not have an appointment, I was treated as if I were a long time customer!
Worth the visit if looking for a car. The staff was friendly and kind. Mrs. Green, the sales rep, was great, she listens and takes her time. Wife was looking for a car for several weeks and went there and after looking and driving it, she made her selection, extremely happy and pleased.
